Going to work in the morning, and then heading home to meet me pals who are coming over for pizza and poker, Lady Di & I are hosting. hopefully one of us wins the big bucks and the championship bracelet, these little $2 rubber bracelets we award to the winner of poker each night we play. Hopefully we're done and everyone leaves by 2am, and then Saturday morning we'll go get a Christmas tree.

The roof man came, put his head in the loft, announced my flashing had gone and left!  ;D

He's going to put a quote in at the agency and then it's as and when they can fit the job in...........

Well...I'm still at my parent's house...will be going home soon to do some packaging and mailing....then tonight, we are going out to dinner with my mom and grandma.

Working. Before I went to work, I picked up a Christmas gift that arrived at the store that I ordered online about 3 days ago. I was glad that it came in so early!  :)

I was going to try and finish my shopping, but we were supposed to have this big storm, so I decided to hole up inside.  Of course it's lovely and sunny out now.  I've just been cleaning.  I can't believe I'm about to say this, but...

I've been cleaning out one of my shoe closets, and it's just ridiculous.  But I cannot bear to part with any of them, so I have to try and find new and creative places to put them.

My sister and I went to Centennial Olympic Park to see the decorations and take some pictures and then we went to the Hard Rock for her birthday lunch.  It's our tradition....we've been doing this since she turned 15 and she'll be 19 on Sunday.

That's a nicie tradition to maintain. I love the HardRock cafe with all the Rock & Roll memorabelia and their food is pretty good too. They make a good french dip sandwich.

I had a very nice dinner tonight with my mom, grandma, and Vaughn (Chris was at a high school football championship game)...then Vaughn and I watched, "The Polar Express" on TV...and I just put him to bed.

Today we will be celebrating my daughter's 6th birthday.  Party at the movie theater. 

Later, I hope to wrap some Christmas presents.

Friday was spent at a huge Staff Conference and a Christmas Lunch there after.

We're going out to dinner for my sister's birthday, even though it's tomorrow.  My sister and I may do something during the day....I don't know.

Today...I haven't done anything, mostly because it's just a few minutes after midnight.

Yesterday, however...I spent the whole day at home, just relaxin'.

I suppose I should go start getting ready for the day as well.

Just put my christmas tree up and am now enjoying a chilled glass of wine.

Well...this afternoon I had my rehearsal for our Christmas program at our church, it went well. Tonight we have our town's light up night (complete with Santa Claus, lights, christmas carols, hot cocoa, etc), and then Vaughn is going to his grandma's house for the night, and Chris and I are going out for a bit later on.

Well it wasn't there when we moved in but then that was in july which was scorching hot and the house had just been redecorated. However you can see where a huge chunk of plaster has fallen off the wall just above this patch and that has just been painted over..........

Falling asleep while watching The Blue Planet

Package up the doe I got a couple days ago, and get the ice sled ready for the new business venture this winter...guiding ice fishing trips.  So far I've booked 7 trips for the end of December at a cool 450 each day.....

Ice fishing is big up here and there are many folks who have never been before, have none of the gear required but wish to try the sport....

Will be providing all gear required, cook a shore lunch on the ice with the mornings catch, have either venison stew or chili made, and always have a fresh pot of coffee or tea ready....pics to follow as soon as the ice sets up.....and that won't be long at the temps we're having for the next 2 weeks......

Today is my uncle's birthday, too. We built him a cake. Hes 55.

slept in until noon. women brought me home a burrito from the taqueria so I had lunch and then we went and bought a Christmas tree, a beautiful 7ft. Noble Fir. It is in the stand, Lady Di watered it and it smells really good.  I just got in from raking leaves in front yard and mowing the grass. My chores are done, now I'm sitting here, slamming down a couple diet cokes and screwing off a bit.

Carlos dropped Elvira off at the vet this morning to be fixed. When we pick her up this afternoon, we will bring Andy in. He has an eye infection that doesn't seem to be responding to treatment. Poor Andy. We don't think he is going to be with us too much longer.  :\'( :\'( :\'(  The poor baby has so many things wrong with him it is unreal.

For people registering for classes during a different period, they have until right after New Years to get their fee payments. Since I registered for classes in November, I have until the end of today to get the payment in. So pretty soon I need to go eat lunch and then ride the bus up to Northridge.

Yeah, actually I love community colleges. There's no way I could've afforded or furthered my education without one. And, thanks to LMC's excellent nursing program, I can continue on through there  :)

I have never been to DVC as a student, but I have been on the campus a few times. What a great school, right next to Sunvalley!  ;D

leaving work early tonight so I can check out Julie performing with her singing group at her school.

I picked my classes out several weeks ago and today I registered for them. I paid $163 for 4 courses (one is half a semester long and the other is only a seminar, so the other two are the only full length courses I'm taking)

Here's my schedule:

Full Semester Classes: 1/16-5/25
Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology - 3 units
Nutrition - 3 units

Short term course: 1/16-3/16
Computer Literacy (like I need this? lol ;D ) - 1.5 units

Seminar: 2/3-2/3
Nursing Seminar 9am-3:20pm - .3 units

Prepare for a lot of memorization and regurgitation in your anatomy course :o

Today I had my indivitual tutorial session at college. I also finished half an hour early (4.30pm instead of 5pm) because the computer servers were down and I was on the computer in my last lesson. When I got home, I made my dinner, watched a bit of TV and ordered my parents' Chrismas present online.

Yes, the nursing seminar is mandatory if you want to apply for the nursing program - otherwise I wouldn't go to that. But, it would be helpful for newbies such as myself and I may make some new friends that day :0)

I am having a crazy day today.  I'm working now, but have to race home and try to get some laundry done before we go to the Nutcracker tonight.  My sister is picking me up at 4:30.  I haven't even begun to pack for our trip tomorrow...hopefully I'll have some time in the morning!  :D  Ah, mi vida loca!

I"m going to a meeting. I've been elected asst social director of the local Sons of Norway lodge. one of the many Christopher Guest movie type things I do.

I've been up since 6am today. I did some household stuff, got ready for work, got to work around 9:30am. I took my lunch late so I could go to the allergist. I got back from that at 3pm and am back to work. Still got 2 more hours to go.  :P

i left work at 3pm for an eye exam & found out I didn't have a stye in my eye last week, i have an inverted eyelash that was poking my eyeball and the good Dr. plucked those bad boys. came back to work all blurry eyed from the solution they use to dilate your eyes with, but my vision is almost back to normal and all is well per todays exam.

I worked.

stopped for gas and a few groceries on the way home, and by a few I mean 1 onion, some mushrooms, and some cool Christmas cards to send out.

I love sending out cards.  Each one has a personal note inside.....I use the same card for everybody, so to make each one special, I do that.

I don't like my eyeballs touched, and the lights are insanely bright that they use to flash into your eyes, but the good news is my vision is the same as a year ago.

I think it's because you mentioned the Hancock Building and in some other thread Jessica and Rice had posted some pictures taken from there and SM was complaining that it made her feel homesick and it sort of looked like you mentioned this building specifically because of that thread I guess.

It's different kinds of Chex cereal (or Crispix), and I think chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter.  Let me check my recipe....

1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 bag of chocolate chips
6 c. cereal
1 1/2-2 c. powdered sugar

melt the butter, peanut butter & choc. chips.  Stir in the cereal, let it cool, then toss in powdered sugar.

I love traveling by Amtrak!  We have been to Florida, LA, Chicago, Gettysburg, New York, and Vermont, and are going to Florida again in February.  Do they have the viewer car with the large windows?  They are the best.  Hope you like it.  Today I went to work on the East Boston Waterfront in 20 degree weather with 30mph gusts of wind.  Luckily I am in a machine(crane) but still it wasn't at all good.  Now I am home and warm and cozy.  Life is good once again  :)

I have never done it before. I am glad to hear a positive review!!  :) I've only traveled cross country by plane, so traveling even this small distance will be quite fun, rather than driving - which can be tiresome for the one driving! We are reserving coach seats, so I am not sure what kind of view you get. Thank you, I am really looking forward to it. I am going to get a nice down jacket so I can keep warm as we will be mostly on foot.
