Today...didn't do much. Tomorrow (Sunday) I need to study.

I'm helping my sister write a term paper.  She was begging me to help her.....she hates writing papers, so I offered my assistance.  Then maybe we're going to Starbucks....I don't know.

I do not usually do much on a Sunday, but they is cricket to watch on television.

Well..today is trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.  It is from 2-4 pm.  Then, we are heading down to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium for their annual "Zoo Boo" celebration. Right now, I am baking some festive cupcakes for our guests who will be here soon (my parents, Beth, my other sister Brandy and her husband Jon, and my sister-in-law, and niece Hayley).

Getting the house ready for tomorrow's Thanksgiving celebration. Yes, we are having Thanksgiving in Oct. All of Carlos' kids and the 2 grandkids will be here. It is the only time they can ALL get together.

I have my last night of softball for the year tonight. It's gonna be a tough night because half of my team is injured and playing with injuries. I'm still nursing a bad achilles tendon problem and will wrap it up real good and hopefully not hurt it worse.

It is odd & awkward. My employer has a program called FastTrack where they hire graduates fresh out of universities that major in business or telecommunications & groom them for upper management positions. She'll be with my group 1 year, then get a new assignment & may be promoted to 2nd level managment in about 3-4 years. My last boss was a 24yr old kid from UC Berkeley & my current one is from Stanford. They're smart but they know nothing about the industry or what we do, so I reccomend to them to learn what we do, don't try to be the new sheriff in town, just help us & you'll get more respect that way, otherwise it can be rough for a young kid.

I just got off the phone with my friend Andrew, we are going to go out to eat tonight and see a scary movie. "Saw 3" .

So far today I dropped my daughter off at school, dropped my son off at school, took drapes to the cleaners, took fabric to have curtains made for my son's room.  I'm a little while I have to pick up my son, then head over to my daughter's school to help out with her Halloween parade and party.  After that I need to buy some candy for the kids who come Trick-or-Treating (I can't believe I wating until today to get candy!!).  Then around dark take my kids around the neighborhood.  If I make it, I hope to watch Ghost Hunters Live Halloween Special, it starts at 11PM.

its 10:35 pm...just few hours back got home .... planning on going out for dinner with a frnd of mine... and stay over at her place itself maybe...then get back home and sign on again here...and post.. maybe?

i'm going to go home, walk the dog, feed the trick or treaters, and then get pumpkins for carving jack o lanterns with my neighbors' kids.

Had a great time last night. We went to an italian restaurant called Cafe Uno. We got seated and waited for quite a while before the waitress came and served us, infact she served a couple of tables of people who arrived after us first. Anyway we ordered and the food came and it was lovely but they left us sitting there for over an hour after we'd finished eating with our dirty plates infront of us. So by then we decided we couldn't be bothered with a dessert and more wine. Himself said we should start throwing the dishes on the floor one by one really deliberatly to get some attention. I personally think they have a bet on and leave one table on purpose to see if they complain, which being British of course we didn't! We just found it all highly amusing and got very silly. We finally managed to catch another waiter and he took 15 minute sto bring our bill, so we left the exact money right down to the 30 pence and went to the pub!

Today my boss is giving his inaugural lecture for being made professor.  It's a public lecture and he has invited friends and colleagues from his previous research labs along.  Some of them might be visiting the labs so I've being tidying one or two things up.  The lecture is this evening and there will be a buffet afterwards.  Usually I have to take my daughter to her dance class in the evening whilst my hubby goes out for a trainnig run.  This evening he's doing the running around (including a costume meeting).

Excellent day today.. well, from a profit sense. Finished one job and completed a 6 meter length on another, which with any luck will be finished by Friday, allowing me to take Monday off.. all I gotta do then is figure out why the phone isn't working properly.

Recovering from Halloween, although it was a fairly quiet one and returning to work. I have been waking up very early lately. I've been waking up around 15 mins to 6am every morning. It's very strange, but I think I should start utilizing that time and maybe exercising.. maybe God or some higher being is sending me a message  ;D

my computer crashed big time, it's old, not sure I can fix it, but i just ordered a new one which will arrive in a day or 2 so if I'm not around, now you know why.  :(  It is frustrating trying to get system restored, but it looks totally hosed so once I get a new system up and running, I'll be back.  have fun 8)

Today, Beth, Vaughn and I went to a mall down near Pittsburgh. They had this cute play area for kids that was Mr. Roger's Neighborhood theme...Vaughn played for over an hour and met 2 buddies there...he had fun. Then we ate lunch and now we are at my parent's house.

Tonight the Scout Group my daughter goes to have a bonfire party so I've got to go into town now and buy some fireworks.

Meant to be going to the pub after week but it's been a hell of a working week so I really don't feel able to spend another moment in a certain new 'senoir collegue's' company, and am going home to veg infront of the telly instead.

Went to work but got a nice early finish at about 3.

Got 2 checks today which is always nice, one from the customer and one from a friend who I lent some money.

I am working a half day today (wahoo!) and then heading off to buy some new winter sweats.  I adore sweat pants.  There is nothing better than coming home from work and putting them on.  After my husband comes home, we are going shopping for new couches.  I can't wait!

Thanks. So do I. We figured it would be a good idea to have her checked out. Right now, she seems to have a bit of a cold but I'm not too worried about that. They will probaby give her shots and do a feline leukemia test on her. We may also have to make an appointment for her to be fixed (because we don't think she was yet).

I bet she's just so happy that she found some really nice people to take care of her. Both of my cats were adopted by us. The one we adopted from Pet Smart...the other one I got off of someone who couldn't find a home for this cat. It's amazing how grateful they both seemed once they were given a loving home again. :)

It was a beautiful day and we had the door open and she just walked right in.  :D ;D ;D  We were only going to keep her about a week-which stretched out to 18 years!  :o  Electra we got from the Humane Society and Andy was Carlos' oldest's cat who her ex couldn't keep but she asked us if we would catsit for about year.  :o  (She lives in Cal. so she couldn't just come to pick up the cat).  Well, we had the feeling that year would also be stretched out-which it has. Andy is now ours (whether we want him or not.  ;) :D  Lately, we have threatened to send him back to her because of a certain problem he has.  ::) )

The three of them still haven't made friends yet. Andy looks like he wants to but Elvira growls at him when he gets near-and Andy is such a wuss.  ;D ;D  Electra still isn't too sure about Elvira either. I'm sure they all three of them will be friends before long (at least we hope). When we first got Andy, Brandy hated him and they had MAJOR fights. At least we are not experience that-just some growling and hissing but nothing major.

that's how my 2 cats were at first too...you would have thought that they were gonna tear each other's eyes out....but now they are all lovey dovey....cleaning each other all the time and snuggling up together...it's so cute! ;D :D

Besides the sniffles and earmites, she had a clean bill of health. We have to isolate her for a few days just to make sure everything is ok and she doesn't give the other two the sniffles. She has an appointment to be fixed next month. Already she has cost me $$.  :(
