I was out pretty much all day today; I went to a young adult picnic. Just like the one I went to last year, only it was at a different location. Had a good time! :)

I have to take my daughter to her school today.  She gets to meet her teacher before classes start on Wednesday.

Well, tomorrow is the release day for Christina Aguilera's new album, so my sister and I are going out to get it when she comes home from work.

See, when I lived in California, I was spoiled. My dad was a fisherman. We also had one of the best fish markets in California at our disposal. Now I'm relegated to eating tuna or clam chowder out of a can.

And I need to get up off my butt and cook at some point. Nothing good like what you'll be making. :D

Nope. Further south. Phil's Fish Market in Moss Landing. :) It is an awesome place, and their Mediterranean pasta is the best.

Just got back from Gettysburg, and I gotta say, the place is awe-inspiring.  If anyone ever thought of going don't delay.  It is a good idea to watch "Gettysburg" and Ken Burns "Civil War". I knew more about it than Sig and when I was telling him about the places we saw he wished he had brushed up a bit more on it before we left.

Oh yes. There and at the wharf in Monterey. And I can't forget to mention my dad's cooking. Man, December needs to hurry up and get here so I can go home. :P

dad's cooking can't be beat. that's a nice compliment to him. I think my wife and daughter were thinking that sme thing after last nights dinner of pan grilled salmon filets and scallops. It rocked!  I only remember eating seafood at one place at the Monterey wharf and I think it was called The Whaler and I had the best cioppino there.

I did work on my backyard. Aerated it which isn't easy, but had to be done to make the grass grow well and look good. Now thinking about getting the blender out and making a strawberry milkshake as a treat for the hard work.

I listend to 3 CDs, .38 Special hits and this double Retro 70's compilation that is very good. Put the 2007 tag on my wifes car, took out the trash & recycle, gettin ready to do some dishes, everyone else here is gone so I gotta do it all, poor pitiful me  :(

well, Vaughn and I are at my parent's house. Chris and my dad went to a pig roast this afternoon. Tonight we are watching the Steeler game at my parent's house.

Went up to Salibury Beach, played in the arcade, went in the water, sat in the beach chair under the 'brella, got some "homemade" chocolate covered jellies.  Life the way it should be. :)

This morning I went with my dad to pass out flyers, then we ate breakfast at Jack in the box.  We came back home, and I've been here on my bed on the net since.  Don't have any plans for later.

I did nothing constructive all day.

  We're driving to Sausalito to meet some friends, dining at a great Japanese restaraunt.

the trophies are cute, and Texas Hold 'Em is the only poker game we play when we play for money. I don't remember how to play baseball. My other friends like to play dealers choice, change up the games thruout the night, but I personally don't care to. 

...tonight we went to Claim Jumper, had dinner,I had chicken fried steak,mashed potatoes, gravy & biscuit. Needless to say it Rocked! Came home, played some CDs, LadyDi got some nice gifts, had chocolate cake & lemon cream pie for dessert & played cards. Everyone left, wife & daughter went to bed & now I'm here.

Rainy Sunday.  Maybe take a ride up to Rockport and stare at the ocean for a while.

  The "Samurai Sausalito" is a regular stop when we visit Marin county.  Can you say "fresh fish"..?  I may have embarrassed our party when I broke down clapping my hands and shouting the, "fre-e-e-sh fish, fre-e-e-sh fish..!" line from Shawshank Redemption, as they served the appetizer...

  The shiro maguro melts in your mouth, the amaebi is mesmerizing and their special rolls are inventive (try wrapped in kelp, not seaweed...) with a little sesame cream on top..!

  Drinks at the "No Name Bar" afterward, then home for some naked twister groove ;) on...

I am going to have to visit The "Samurai Sausalito" real soon as it sounds great. I know my wife & daughter would love it. I would have enjoyed your *fresh fish* comment as that is one of my favorite films also, however I wouldn't want the chef to feel insulted  ;D .  Naked twister?  :o Holy Crap, you guys know how to party  ;D  Lady Di's ongoing birthday dinner was great. Went to Claim Jumper in Concord, got there early, to avoid the big dinner rush & got seated right away, the food was excellent, they brought her a nice birthday treat with a candle, & then we came home with dessert from the reataurant, their Mother Lode 7layer chocolate cake and a lemon pir, she got nice gifts from her friends, we lit candles & sang HBD to her, then I cranked up The Beatles version of birthday. it was a good night, except we didn't get into a game of nude twister.

Today (Monday) I haven't done much except for hang out at home, eat, do some laundry, etc. Later on I will be going to my swing dance class (yes, I've recently started taking dance lessons). I have a lot of fun there; the instructor is a nice lady and she seems like a good teacher. My parents started taking dance classes at this particular dance studio half a year ago and enjoy it...so a few months ago I decided to give it a try by attending a couple of workshops. You don't need a partner to attend the class; all the guys dance with all the ladies, so it works out great.

I went to work today, and then took off early to come home to bury our beloved pet guinea pig Lucy Liu who died early this am. She'd been sick and never recovered. I dug a deep hole in the backyard and  Lady Di wrapped her nicely and placed her in a box and I buried her. We stil have one G-pig that is very healthy and her name is Elfaba.  Now I gotta get ready for my Monday night softball game & will try to make an appearance here later tonight.  8)
