Went up to Salisbury Beach watched the waves, played in the arcade, got some salt water taffe, went to a couple of antique places, had lunch at a roadside cafe, the ice cream at an ice cream stand.  The weather was perfect and it was a nice day all around :)

I pretty much slept all day because I'm still knackered from yesterday. 

I had a lovely weekend at my camping retreat....great weather and loads of fun. Now I am home, relaxing. Tomorrow we are having a picnic with the family! :)

Went to church in the morning and came home in heavy traffic...probably a lot of people heading out to the beach for the long holiday weekend.

Today, my son and I went to see the Da Vinci Code. We went to the first showing of the day,
there was only about 30 people in attendance, a perfect setting to see a movie.

I'll be taking a drive to U.C. Berkeley in the next hour to see what building my daughter will be taking her SAT's at next week. It's a big campus and I want things to go  smooth for her that morning so she won't be anymore stressed than normal, and perhaps she will do well on the tests. I'll do a little bit of gardening/yardwork when I get back.

I am, but my communication skills with a teen daughter seem to be so lacking at times  ;D  As for the green thumb, we shall see if the plants respond well. I hope so, I've been here for 6 years now and this house has so many beautiful trees and flowers and plants from the previous owner and I'm learning how to care for them.

I went to Blowing Rock, NC to a place called Tweetsie Railroad.  It's a train/Old West theme park.  My 2 year old is a train fanatic.  I ate funnel cakes, popcorn & ice cream, then I rode the Tweetsie Twister, carousel and the Tilt-a-whirl...I haven't recovered yet!! http://www.inthe00s.com/smile/01/barf.gif LOL!!

I downloaded over 200MB worth of video clips off Limewire to load onto the 60GB ipod video I recently bought.

Well, in about 20 minutes I'm going to rake up some of the leaves from the yard and then persuade one of my house-mates to go and buy some sacks to put the leaves in.
Tonight I'm going to take the dog to be clipped and I expect I'll go out for dinner while she is being clipped.
Might go have a drink or two as well.
We have a great place here where you can take your dog in as long as they behave.
My puppy is just the model of perfection. Dosen't bark much, perfectly house trained, sits, stays, smiles.  :)

I will not be watching the football on TV tonight.

Took back some library books, took some old stuff to the thrif store and then went to the grocery store.  Now I'm starting dinner and kicking back here while the kids sleep.  I think I'll go unpack some more boxes now.

He was just amazing, it was my friend Ray who was really keen to see him as he loves anything to do with the Woodstock era, but I'm so glad I saw the performance too!  He came on as the last act and everyone was just blown away by his superb accoustic guitar playing and singing - he looks incredibly well and had a lovely friendly aura about him, looked very fit and healthy too.
He was wearing this fantastic Red Indian style suede tassled jacket and looked sooo cool.  :) :)

Well, since last time....I dropped off Chris' golf stuff for him at his work, and then Vaughn and I drove up to this little shop where I promised my dad that I would pick up this bracelet that my mom has been wanting (for an anniversary gift)...then we went to get dinner at Subway and rented a few movies...now we are at home...relaxing. 8)

I CAN NOT spend less than 50.00 when I go to any of those places.  I can never go for just one or two things, usually I have a full cart by the time I check-out.  

I was working on my car again today. The floors had gotten all wet because there was a leak by one of the windows that I had to seal up, so i to pull all the carpets out and let it dry, in the process the battery ran out. So I try to jump it and I connect the jumper cables wrong and fried the jumper cables and ruined my battery. So I had to get another battery, and get it in there. It was a very interesting day to say the least.

I caught the last little bit with Kiss...Were Ace Frehley and Peter Criss playing, didn't look like them, but I couldn't tell for sure?

I think they could have got a better emcee than jamie pressly, she was trying to act and talk ghetto to a rock crowd. It seemed out of place and forced. They needed to have a rock and roll goddess or legend do the emcee'ng. It was an enjoyable show nonetheless.  8)

Bitch is going all out this year.  She's even getting me a birthday cake with the Yankee logo on it and blue and white roses in icing.  I gave her a list of stuff I wanted (mostly CDs), so I expect to have her bouncing in my room on Wednesday at about 6 am screaming in the side of head.

Didn't sleep very well last night, and I was woken up about half an hour ago by foghorn leghorn over the road, so i'm up. This is the earliest i've been up since school broke up... and I feel like crap  :P

I helped my dad move furniture to his new house. I'm very sore and tired, but around 8 tonight, we'll have to move some of the beds, so we can sleep!

the ignition switch was built into the gas tank, which makes the custom work a little harder.

Went to church this morning...then did some studying for my last final (which I have tomorrow). Basically what I need to do is remember some of those formulas in MS Excel.

I was having a kick-around with the football with my mates while holding a tai chicken wrap and a small tub of lemongrass dip (which was awful). He kicked the ball at me and I dropped the dip and it went all over my shirt. I walked home to change and I looked like I got shot or something which was quite embarrassing, lol. The guy was really sorry so I wasn't annoyed - besides, it got me 10 minutes extra for lunch.  8)

Had lunch with a friend (that we haven't done in a LONG time). It was great catching up with her. But the strangest thing happened as we were leaving the house. This bird (a robin) was sitting on the post on the steps of our porch-just sitting there. I thought when we got closer, he will have flew away-but he didn't. We could have probably pet it but we figured it was better not to. Also we noticed that a caterpiller (as some of you know, we are being invaded with them) was crawling over the birds, feet. We walked down the steps of the porch and the bird still just sat there. VERY STRANGE. Carlos told me when I got home that he was out there (trying to get rid of the caterpillers), another robin started squawking at him. We think that it may have been a very young bird and the mama was squawking at him to keep away from her baby. But, it wasn't THAT small of a bird (but on the small side).
