I've done some shopping, got obsessed with Sim City 4 and watched comedy on the telly. Done nothing much but it's been great considering I have no money to do anything.

I used to cut mine real short.

If you're going down that route get yourself some clippers. You don't need expensive ones. 40 pound should do it.. and figure, that's the cost of about 4 haircuts.

We've bought some clippers to cut James's hair.  It's dead easy when you decided what length you want.  Make sure you buy the ones with the different plastic guard combs that clip on.  I've heard too many disaster  stories with the other sort where you use a dial to set the length.

As for me, Vaughn and I went to some yard sales this morning (even though it was raining off and on), then we went over to my parent's house (my mom was off work today). We picked Chris up from work and then went over to my brother-in-law's house so that he could give my car a tune up, since we will be going away on vacation soon...then we picked up dinner and came home.

Today I spent most of the day cleaning out my room because we're gonna start painting it tomorrow!! Since it's taken a lot of time to get the stuff out of my room that's not in the closet, I haven't had a whole lotta time to be here on the 'puter. And I might not be around a great deal tomorrow either.

I"m going to carry a flag in the Norwegian Constitution Day parade in Brooklyn.

Last Sunday we had to cancel Mothers Day because of the flooding.  Today we will do what we were going to do, take a drive up to Maine, have Crab Cakes at the Maine Diner in Wells, stop at a couple of antique shops, maybe a farm stand.  :)

I can't imagine having to learn 4 languages...I can only speak one! Sort of pity the kids having to learn four languages, one was hard enough for me (I learnt Japanese but failed terribly). I also hear Luxembourg has one of the highest GDP per head in the developed world.

Quite boring and most of the time the weather is foul.

we taught the 2 yr. old class in church today, and now we are hanging out at my parent's house.

Went to Maine, bought a couple of things, had crabcakes, baked beans, and apple raspberry pie.  All in all
it was a wonderful delayed mothers day. :)

Yesterday I was busy painting my bedroom, so I didn't get to hang out on the 'puter at all. And today I'm putting stuff back inside my room (I had to take a lotta stuff out so it wouldn't get paint on it by mistake. Also we needed room to work.)

I was aggravated earlier after finding out I would be without my computer
for 3 to 4 weeks. So I went out and bought a new computer.

I got my hair cut, went food shopping, and cooked a nice dinner.

Well so far today...I cleaned and scrubbed out the refrigerator, scrubbed the floors, vacuumed the house, and finished the laundry...and it's only 9:30 am!! :o

We had to visit this nearby community as part of a University assignment/project thingie...boring as usual. I spent the second half of the day running around the place trying to find a place that sold a 60GB ipod video. lol, seems like they're all sold out!

Not long finished helping with an experiment measuring sweat rates in people playing squash.  I got roped in because one fo the students has gone home for a few days unexpectedly.

It's an extremely addictive series. Very well written and directed, but yes, you will need to have seen at least half of the first series otherwise you actually will be Lost  ;D

I just recieved 'American Dad' on DVD from my work colleagues by the creators of 'Family Guy'. I watched the whole lot in two sittings. I don't think it is as good as 'Family Guy' (the camp alien and the German fish are not engaging characters even though it is clever as to why they are there in the first place) - it is still very funny though.  :)

Futurama's another one i've never watched much but heard loads about. Admittedly, the few (full) episodes i've seen are funny (especially the christmas one with the robot santa  ;D ), but I think it's broadcast at inconvenient times for me (i'm either at school, at work or resting)

The best thing about Blue Ray is that at least it is backward compatible so you won't have to get rid of your DVDs as soon as you have bought it.

I'm quite surprised that HD televisions are coming into force (Sky have taken it on). The last I heard of them they were too expensive to buy.

Perhaps people refused to buy them, and the manufacturers were forced to lower the price? Dunno, not too fussed. At the current rate we're updating, we should have a HD TV by the time everyone else has virtual reality TV headgear  ;D

I'll see how it goes by the end of the year and then one of us will eat our words. What I do know is that the XBox 360 certainly has the edge over Playstation 3 regarding the timing - it will have had about a year on the market before that comes out.

As for Nintendo Wee . . . Lol . . . Nah! Lost the market after the dire attempt of the Nintendo64. By the time the Game Cube came out, it became the Liberal Democrat of the gaming console world.

I just spent a while trawling back from page 125 of this board to find the book thread!  I was also waiting for another computer to run 'defrag' so I was keeping myself occupied.  And now its lunchtime!

I'm with you on that.  Everytime I think of housework I get the overwhelming need for a nap.

Took the cats to the vet for their annual. I got a little card saying they were due for their distemper and when we got there, they said that they are doing that every other year now. Then why did they send me a card?  ::)  Oh well. They needed to be looked at anyway-and they got their nails trimmed (which needed it). But no shot.

She got me a picture of Sabrina Johnston (which isn't entirely useless)
A Pokemon backpack fit for a 5 year old (which is useless)
A very small doggy teapot (which again isn't entirely useless)
A play figure of a man with a pair of headphones with my 'Rob DJ' logo on it. (which wasn't completely useless until my mates took the head off and started doing questionably things with it)

I bought her . . .

A Spanish phrase book (totally useless to her as she is Spanish)
A Latin LP (totally useless to her as she hasn't got a record player)
A water pistol with a very small water gauge (pointless)
Her very own voodoo doll (A barbie doll with pins stuck in it)

It was a good night, I went to Reflex which is an 80s nightclub in town - I was in my element.

I would recommend the collected works of Paul Janz.  Songs like 'Close My Eyes', 'I Go to Pieces', 'Send Me A Miracle' and 'I Won't Cry' are soem great songs of the 80's

I'm usually buch more sparing with my mobile/cell phone...$20 can tide me over for a month or more.

Yesterday after work I went to Pilates and then onto a Scout group AGM and presentation evening.  The Scout leader had certificates for everyone with awards like "Top Bloke", "Scout Most Likely to Wear Pink", "Best Haircut" etc.  Dashed home for a quick meal and then out to another Scouting meeting, this time a camp planning meeting to see how a new leader was planning his first camp.  Home for housework, TV and then bed.

At work today I'm clearing some work space for an experiment that is happening next week, shifting out some old computers and dealing with some paperwork.

It's a long weekend here and half term next week some I'm taking a day off work and we are going to visit the in-laws for the weekend coming home on Tuesday.  Hope the weather is half decent because we are working on their garden.  And hubby promised the children ice-cream if they behaved!
