On my diary today I have taking someones photo for the dept website, learning a new protocol for measuring body core temperature and a staff meeting.  Plus sundry other jobs as they occur to me.

This evening I have Pilates followed by a v quick meal and then a Scout Leaders meeting. 

sorry about the slow reply Bobby. I work for AT&T, formerly SBC, formerly Pacific Bell, formerly AT&T.  I'm gonna bore you here but I sit at a desk with a computer and phone and my job title is Testing Technician. It's a pretty cool gig. Our installers go out and install T1's for big companies and basically anyone that wants one, but the other terlecomunication companies are our biggest customers. I make sure the work gets done by our inside techs and our outside installers, once it's ready, I test it to make sure the high speed digital line is good and then give to the customer. One T1 would be enough for 24 of us inthe00s members to use and all be online at once. I like it my job, I get to work at my own pace, lots of freedom, and right now I'm doing repair, so when they go bad, I test it, isolate the trouble and send out whoever needs to fix it. i work 8hour days 5 days a week with Sat & Sun off. just the way i like it. thanks for asking, even though it's not terribly exciting work, it pays the bills.

Well, today Vaughn and I went to a few rummage sales at some local churches, played outside for a bit. Then when Chris came home...we went for a nice ride and did some errands, got dinner and came home.

That's good news.  It must not have been a really bad one or he'd still be there for a while.  When my mom had hers, she was in the hospital for over a week and had to do physical therapy for a while after she came home.  She still only has partial movement/control of her left arm/leg.


Urgh, that sucks.

What I found out was that it's good to have a small one, that way they can prevent the big debilitating kind.

I went up today, they're still doing tests and things  :P

hey now, it's 6:27pm and I get off work at 6:30. I think i'll go home now.  8)

what I did today after I got home from work at 7:15pm, was wash my daughters car by hand, and then decided to get real enterprising and wash my wifes minivan while there was still some light. Maybe I'll do my car this weekend along with a ton of yardwork.

Well, Vaughn and I are leaving soon to hit some yard sales (tis the season! LOL! ;)) this morning...then, my mother-in-law is coming over to keep an eye on Vaughn tonight because Chris has a meeting to go to and I am going out with my mom for a bit.

At work I've got some equipment shifting to do.  I'm finishing work early to take my son and a friend of his to another friends birthday party.  Whilst they are at the party I'm doing some retail therapy.  :)

Going to a friends house warming tomorrow.  It will be a select gathering of the friend whose house it is, me and hubby and one other couple!

it's been a pretty nice day today so far. Chris, Vaughn, and I went to a local park and played at the playground, went down this GIANT slide, and took a walk and looked for pirate treasures (which consisted of loose change being placed here and there for Vaughn to pick up).  I got some really great pictures taken today of Vaughn outside...they should turn out quite nice. We then went out for lunch, and now we are home. Later..Beth is coming over to keep an eye on Vaughn...and Chris and I are going out tonight for his birthday (which is actually tomorrow).

I live surrounded by oak trees.  The taking and picking up of leaves never ends.  I am very ambitious this year, and have put in some tomato plants along with thyme, and garlic.  I figure I should go and get some basil and in the fall have everyone over for spagetti and sauce.  I guess I will have to get in a steer to fatten up if you want meatballs with that.  ::)

I just logged in for my first time today and was getting ready to do my thing here, and my daughter decided now is when she wants to do her thing and we only have one computer in the house so I will relenquish my time to her for now and come back later since I'm such a nice dad.  8)

I pretty much worked all day on homework. I got up at 9am, finished writing a 9 page report on Multiple Sclerosis and took a few short breaks for some lunch. Then I started on my Medical Coding assignments for about 4 1/2 hours. I now only have about 1 1/2 pages left to do on those. While I was working on those codes, I kept the TV on and watched Groundhog Day,  Scent of a Woman (Hooo Ahh), and bits of the Phantom of the Opera. Then a movie called Hanky Panky came on which had Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner. I always was curious of that movie so I watched some of it and it was pretty decent.

There isn't anything easier than herbs.  You plant them, then pick them everytime you have a salad or cook.
I am the Queen of Easy to Grow and these are a dream come true.  I have the cherry tomatos this year, and
tomatos take up time, what with making sure you water them correctly, and keep the bugs away.  Squirrels,
well, lucky for them I am soft hearted (thieving little rodents).

Standard Monday with little excitement: woke up early much to my disgust, went to school, then did some study.

Over the past couple of weeks we have suspected mouse activity at home.  We put down a couple of traps in the kitchen the other week but caught nothing.  Last Wednesday I was woken up by scrabbling and scratching sounds in the bedroom.  I thought it sounded near the wardrobe.  I heard them again on Friday so I cleared out the bottom of the wardrobe (mainly shoes) and found evidence of mouse activity.  I set a trap and caught a mouse on Saturday night.  The trap has been reset to make sure there aren't any more of the blighters about.

Went to a colleagues house warming on Saturday evening.  Turned out to be a good night.  Went to an open air church type service yesterday afternoon at the local scout campsite, followed by their annual review.  Round to my mum and dads for tea in the evening.

At work today I received a very groovy reflective/fluorescent jacket to wear in my role as Fire Marshal!

I just got done making myself lunch to take to work and am now chillin' for a few minutes before I head over to work.  8)

Going out to dinner with Carlos' (ex) department to celebrate his retirement. This dinner was supposed to take place several months ago but it didn't happen for several reasons.

After work, a parent meeting w/ the coaches of my daughter's soccer team.  I wll attempt to get them to let her play forward sometimes instead of always defense (they keep her there because she's so good, of course  :))  But still....she's only 11!  She's not quite ready to be locked into a position.  At such a young age it's all about winning the game.  GRRRRR  >:(

yes, it was a good time. Vaughn's actual birthday isn't until May 17th, but we decided to celebrate them together (with the family) because my grandparents were home for a long weekend (they live in South Carolina). We are having another party for Vaughn closer to his birthday (with his cousins/friends/etc.).

Vaughn's actual birthday isn't until May 17th, but we decided to celebrate them together (with the family) because my grandparents were home for a long weekend (they live in South Carolina). We are having another party for Vaughn closer to his birthday (with his cousins/friends/etc.).

So it's a week from Wednesday, huh? ;) I remember my kiddie parties; the kids who would show up would mostly be kids from the neighborhood, and/or actual friends I had, since I don't have a very big family.

I waited for about an hour at the state BMV to get a new sticker for my car, $54 for a little sticker, lol. Thanks Taft. I watched some TV earlier this evening, and spent time on inthe00s and listen to music. Finally I just watched the Tonight Show monologue.

I played a softball game tonight in my league. We won by a good margin against a pretty good opponent. I broke my thumbnail to the point where it was bleeding until I applied pressure, then bandaged and taped it up and played the game like that. It's kind of nasty looking and I needed my wife to help cut off the old bloody bandage and put on a clean one when I got home. She gets a medal for that assistance.  8)

Work stuff currently getting annoyed by a bunch of students who are waiting to start their experiment and do this by talking as loud as possible.  If I'd been organising it I would have asked them to come a bit later when the first group had finished.

When you're constantly getting sh*t on for being a Yankee fan (not necessarily here), you learn to get defensive real quick.

Went to work and had a laugh - me and my mate needed to because we were both bored out of our heads. At one point we counted how many times the manager was scratching his head, and we were pretending to be sports commentators. I think he had a problem as we counted 30 odd scratches in one hour.

It was a fairly nice day for the Harley-Davidson open house, just a few rain drops.
Bike builder Dave Perewitz was there as well as Biker Billy the Biker Chef.
I didn't stay long enough for the contest winners because my wife is terrified
to ride on a motorcycle, so when the rain drops came, we went home.

I've been up and about all day,now I'm gonna get some sleep.

It's Mothers Day, but instead of the ride up to Maine I am staying home to keep an eye on the cellar.
We have had about 5 inches of rain, and more to come.  I had to drag out the auxiliary pump when
the low spot in the cellar filled up, I caught it before it got real, real bad.  So maybe today you will be
hearing more from me since I will be tethered to the house.

We went to church this morning and then up to my grandma's for lunch...now we are at my parent's house for a visit.

I have to go to the hospital today to get my nose checked out before they decide what they are going to do with it. I have had a permanently blocked up nose for years and recently being diagnosed with 'extreme rhinitis (nose inflammation/infection). They have given me some nasal drops and nose spray and I don't think it has done as well as I'd hoped but at least the swelling seems to have gone down.

Anyhow, I'm predicting I have got polyps (growths inside the nose which reduces the amount of air that goes through). At least it gets me out of work for a few hours.  ;D

^sounds like a nose job.  I had to use the steroid spray for about 6 months, and on and off now, but at one time surgery almost became the option. Fixing the nose will be a great thing, to be able to sleep through the night without waking up gagging, all drymouthed, I know how bad it can be.

Today I am going to keep an eye on the almost dry cellar after yesterdays debacle.  I got about 6 inches of water in the cellar.  I have a pump, but had to add the auxiliary and that ended up burning out so Sig had to come down with another(he didn't get as much at his house), but to get to my house he had to make a 5 mile detour to get around the washed out roads.  Everything worked out, everything in the cellar is up and away so there wasn't anything of value ruined, but it is a bit of a mess, and I have to keep an eye on the extra pump because it  has to be switched on manually.  It is supposed to rain on and off for the next 6 days so we aren't out of the water yet.

I went to school. Graduation was last night so I am now considered a senior! Then I got home, ate some ice cream, and here I am. Later I'm planning on working on my American History homework, watching American Idol and Scrubs, and playing some Super Mario World on the old SNES before going to sleep.

I went to retrieve my lost wallet,Went to therapy,Went to Subway then had an appointment with my doctor.

I rested today, as I am not feeling well.

After eight days straight of rain and below normal temperatures it is going to be sunny and 70.  I think, as soon as the sun hits the lawn, I will just go outside and stand there.  :)

Cycled to school/work today.  Moving computers ready for disposal today.  Going to the pub tonight I think.

Probably just staying home today and resting some more, I still don't feel up to par. :-\\

I went out and bought some joke presents for my friends birthday. We are both having a useless present exchange which will cause some laughs when we go out towards the end of the month for our respective birthdays.  8)

Going to work.  Taking my son to the doctor to see what he did to his ankle when he was skating yesterday.  Cooking dinner and doing dishes.  And then, happily, just hangin' with my kids for the evening. 

And I'm going to stop being grouchies.  I'm just deciding that.  :D

Get some work done, then read my book, do some exercises, walk at lunchtime...

ahhhhhhh....and enjoy the quiet work environment.

Feeling a bit yucky.

Last night I went out with a a few friends as one of them just got a new (and rather terrific sounding) job.

Anyway, on the walk home (as nobody was gonna risk driving) the heavens opened.. and I mean they opened. Torrential rain storm, soaked to the bone. Now, it wasn't particularly cold, but the rain really cooled things down so I felt pretty icky.

Now I'm just not feeling too great so I don't think I'll do too much today, however, I will do:
Some more laundry - Few shirts, pants and a towel.
Rip up the remainder of the linolium in the kitchen, it's nasty, crappy looking stuff and there is a great floor underneath.
Harass the post office, they finally deliverd packages number 3 & 4 of the 5 I am expecting, I'll harass them until they bring the 5th.

Later on I'll be going out again, me and my friend Michelle are going for dinner.

I'm feeling kinda yucky, too. I keep having some asthmatic cough and my nose is stuffy from allergies. This has been going on for about a week now. I've been taking allergy medicine, but I may need to see the doctor for an inhaler.

I've just finished watching the remake of 'Dawn of the Dead'. Not a bad film at all - though I have no idea what the original was like.

I am sure i have a rat in my attic, I set up a trap, I heard it go off at midnight last night, and then heard it thrashing about for hours. I'm going up there to investigate and I'm taking a pellet gun with me, for I may need to execute this varmint that got caught but didn't die. I'm gonna bust a cap in that rat's ass.  >:(  and then I'm gonna go play in my Wednesday night softball league. So far we're in first place, 3 wins, no losses. and then I'll come home and be with you guys for awhile.  8)

Well, I am taking Beth over to get her tire repaired today...and then going grocery shopping....but that's about it.

I've done some shopping, got obsessed with Sim City 4 and watched comedy on the telly. Done nothing much but it's been great considering I have no money to do anything.

I've also been toying with the idea of getting a very short haircut when I get my next paycheck.
