I read the graphic detailed account and it sounds llike cartilage/miniscus tear. You may be lucky and just be a twist/sprain or something. I know that pre game stretch warmup is necessary. Did you stretch at all or just start playing cold? I've been fortunate to not have any serious injuries over the last 10 years, but i always pull something each year, a hamstring, a calf, or lower back pull but it heals pretty quick. I have my first league game tomorrow night at 630pm, after 6 consecuytive rain-outs but I feel ready. best wishes with the knee recovery


I think, I just sprained it. My knee is a cause of bother anyway, after a couple of nasty injurys and numerous bits of bone etc in the joint.
Basically I need a Doctor to go in there and clean it all up.

We won our opener tonight in my mens softball league after 6 straight weeks of rainouts. We pulverised the other team. My first at bat was a solo home run over the left field fence which was a great start to the season and made me happy. After that I sucked and flew out twice, so I gotta work on those base hitting skills.

I just spent two days with an intestinal virus that has been making the circuit in these parts.  Details are, as you may well assume, pretty disgusting, but I am much better today(knock on wood).  Just being able to sit up is nice.

Thanks. My favorite part is having my hair washed. I always tell her that she missed a spot and has to do it all over again. But somehow she doesn't believe me.  :D ;D ;D  So now, my hair is still a bit wet (I don't like her to dry it completely) but there is no gray.  ;D

i went to school, and dropped the keys off at work. Found out i'm not going to be working the next few Saturdays (yipee!), which now gives me the opportunity to go back up to the caravan overnight every so often  :)

Tomorrow, Thursday and Friday it's my art exam. 15 hours (5 every day) spent in the classroom trying to produce a piece of art set to certain criteria. Should be a laugh  ::)

Yes, he is fine now, but we had to cancel the trip to DC and just return from NY.  Kinda stinky it being
his school vacation and birthday.  He was sick all week, and I picked up when he left off.  I got a
voucher for the train travel instead of a refund, and gave it to him for his birthday, we can use it on
another trip of his choice, so that is a bit of a compensation for him.

After work, take my son to an interview for his first real job.
Then, vocal rehearsal at church...which is good 'cause I need to sing for a couple of hours.

Spent my day off doing some much overdue cleaning and laundry.  :P  Also spent some time on the phone between the car insurance company the township over a bill from the accident in feb. The car insurance co. says it needs submitted to the health ins. co. first then they will pick up what's left, but the township says it's not a medical bill, it's from the Fire dept. and police dept. that were on the scene of the accident so medical won't pay it. All I know is, I'm not paying it, that's why I pay my ins. premiums. BTW, I knew I would get a bill from the paramedic/ambulance that took my daughter to the hospital because they treated her medically on the way to the hospital, but I didn't know there would be a bill from the police and fire that were dispatched. Anyone know anything about this? Just curious, I thought that's what taxes were for.  :-\\

Our home is surrounded by some of the most beautiful, mature trees I've ever seen.  When we bought our house it was summer and I loved all the shade, then October rolled around and I wasn't so sure I still loved them!!  LOL!!

My in-laws moved into a house with a HUGE (I think?)oak tree in the front.  They cut it down because of the leaves and crap falling on the cars when they were parked in the street :o


And herein is my dilemma.  I have a huge oak that blocks the sun, drops its limbs, and gives me bucket loads of leaves to rake every year, but there isn't any way I could cut it down without feeling guilty.  I can hear it thinking, "I have been here for (whatever hundreds of years) but then you show up you figure I will inconvenience you for the few short years you intend to stay, and because of that I should die?"  I know, I'm just too wierd, but I just can't do it.

It is THAT time again, to get "poked, prodded, & probed".  :P  At least I won't have to worry about it for another year.

Just got home from the hospital. My oldest daughter had a car accident today.  First my youngest in Feb., now the other. I don't know what's going on. This year has not gotten off to a very good start for some reason. Anyways, her car is totalled, but thankfully she's alright. Here's a pic of her car. By the looks of it, she had someone looking out for her today.

Thanks, it just sucks, 2 cars totalled in 2 months time. I've been driving for 27 years and all I've done is hit a deer once. I think they'll be paying a little better attention now though. At least she's ok, that's all that matters.

So, after that, I performed a new piece tonight and everyone love it.  Yeah me!

It's what I did for my senior prom 6 years ago.  I just went with a whole group of my friends.  Hell of a lot better than going with a date, because you and your date aren't going to sit there and make fun of people's bad dancing and weird dresses.

Took my sister out to lunch for her birthday, then we went to some antique stores and to a place called The Secret Garden. It has tons of cool garden statues and it's outside with paths and flowers and just all kinds of neat stuff.  It's now my new favorite place.  :)

Our town has a BIG yard sale during "Spring Fling" (Memorial Day Weekend). All these venders set up in the park, and many people have yard sales throughout town (they usually don't advertise because they know people will be out and about). We always have a BBQ with one of my best friends and her two boys. This year, 2 of Carlos' kids and granddaughter will be joining us. After we do the park, eat, then we sit in the front-on the sidewalk and watch the parade go right past the house.  ;D  We always have a great time and I look forward to it every year.

Everything I had on the front lawn was SUBMERGED!!!  We ended up throwing out a lot of it. That was when I vowed NEVER AGAIN!!! For some reason, I just don't have any luck having yard sales. So, I go to them instead.  ;)

Also, I spent some time reorganizing things in my room. Even though I like to be an organized person, I don't always stay that way; I tend to drift into disorganization. :-\\

I am waitning for the family car to pick me up and it will be a day in London, with a good meal and a movie or a show.

I got my inthe00s fix for the evening and will be going offline and heading to bed. Work starts in 9hours so I better get some sleep. When I wake, I'll go to work and after that I will go straight to the ballpark because I have a softball game at 630pm.

Today I slept in until 12pm, made some breakfast, logged on, came here, posted some stuff and tonight i'm at work, so...

some work...then walk at lunchtime (thank you, spring!)...and then maybe read my book....then take the dog to the dog run.

I got to bed late last night from being on the 'puter so late, so I'm kinda sleepy right now. But I have class in an hour or so, so I gotta be awake for that.

Just been shopping with mother dearest, picked up a brand new computer mic for less than a fiver! Messing around with it now, then i'm going downstairs to watch the first 20 minutes or so of the Sunderland v Arsenal match, then it'll be time to get ready for work

Made photocopies.

Slept at desk.

Gonna take the dog to be clipped later.. was gonna go to the little dog grooming place down the street, but it was all booked up so Pet Smart it is. She has to have a rabies shot as well..

Well, there's a poetry event in Colorado Springs...an hour's drive...tonight at 8.  If I wake up maybe I'll go.  But right now, I feel like I could sleep for three days straight.

She needs these fluids on a consistant basis otherwise her kidney's can't function correctly. So, unfortunately we've gotta do the deed  ;D





We had a cat like that. We took her to the vet EVERY week.  ::)  At one time, she was about 15 lbs but when she died, she was just under 5.  :o  But she lived to the ripe old age of 18. But I still miss her.  :\'(

Wow, 3rd isn't all too bad. I am surprised you made it home coming all the way back from Tracy. That's even quite a drive coming from Antioch.
Kristen, your cat is fortunate to have you and i hope she gets better soon. I am so wimpy when it comes to hospital, surgical, shots and stuff but you obviously can do whats gotta be done. I was very pleased with a 3rd place finish, and the ride home for me is about 70minutes. I went to work today, was quite busy, got off a little early to go to my softball game and we lost, and now after doing some chores I am free to play on the computer and I'll be back in a few minutes because I need some hot tea.  8)

Almost had work today, but the crane has to be inspected so everything is on hold for a couple of days.
It's raw and raining and I am kinda at a loss at what to do with myself.    :-\\

If the rain lets up, I might go buy a few bags of mulch for the flower beds, and maybe some more plants.

I'm gonna fill my biggest commuter cup w/coffee and go to work.
