Today i'm gonna have breakfast, have a bath and go to work, then it's straight back here at about 5:30pm and then bed-time at around 10pm, ready for the 6am start on Sunday morning. The Microsoft Office I ordered from Ebay should be arriving today...

Weekly food shopping, go to the bank.  It is supposed to be a very nice day so maybe go up the coast for a ride.

Well last night/this morning we went to midnight bowling with Beth...and 2 of chris' brothers, his sister, and brother-in-law. It was loads of good fun!!  I am not a good bowler, but it was still fun.  Today we are going to see one of our friends ice skating competitions and then later we are going up to my grandma's house to celebrate my birthday.

yes...I was thinking that it was going to be boring, at first....but as soon as I started watching it...I realized how good it was.

Had a great 10 hour sleep, longest i've slept for as long as i can remember.

Then came the revolting task of sorting out the dishes and putting them in the dishwasher.

I tend to just put dishes in the sink and then leave them, I really need to stop that, It gets revolting.

Of course now the rest of the day is free to listen to the Trance/Jungle/Garage cd's i found the other day  :)

Doing about nothing today. Chris' brother came over to put new brakes on our car and fix a few things in the house...but that is about it.

Went for a Greek buffet at lunch time, always nice.

I feel that once i've catalouged some more music on to my external hard-drive i shall take the Sunday nap.

I went to community colleges for three years in southern CA: Los Angeles Mission (for 2 1/2 years) in Sylmar, and Los Angeles Pierce (for 1 semester) in Woodland Hills. :) The Spring semesters at Mission started in mid-January and ended in mid-May. (They probably still do, but I haven't been there in over five years.) At Pierce, they had a winter intercession which lasted the month of January, and the Spring semester started the first week of February and ended Memorial Day week (the week beginning on Memorial Day; that's when they had finals).


It seems like most community colleges vary with their schedules, but most seem to start in January and end in May. I wish mine did start a little later, because man, I sure do feel cheated. Also, it's so hard to pay for classes so soon after the holidays and then the books (ughh).  :-[

Had a fairly productive day, now just need to turn off the music and go to sleep!

My son was four on Saturday and we had a party for him in the morning.  Everyone said what a good time they had.  He then spent the aftenoon unwrapping all his presents, whilst my daughter was at her dancing lessons. 

I had to visit the Cub Handicraft competitionon Saturday afternoon.  They had made some really good models based on the topic (A campsite in 2096).  One group had included a McDonalds!  It was also nice to see how many included things like solar panels in their design.

On Sunday I went to some training on Child Protection whilst hubby took my daughter to her dance exam.  In the afternoon we sorted out my daughters clothing and now have two bags of stuff she's either grown out of or doesn't like.  My son took the opportunity to take every single toy out of its box, lose all the little bits and the instructions.  ::)

Later, I get off work at 6pm (as usual) and then trek on over the hill to college and sit in class for 3 hours until 10pm and then I'll come home and do more homework and maybe squeeze in some time for some laundry sorting and filling up the kitty food bowl and visiting with my mammy.

Wow! Good job reminding me. The wheels fell off one of my cases in Chicago a couple weeks ago and i need to buy a new case  ;D

Nah as i was dragging them behind me the wheels came off.

I have one niceish bag, it's only a couple years old. The other one was purchased in about.. ooohh.. '86.
It's still usefull but i doubt i'll use it on any more flights.

I usually like to just use a real big Sports bag but i needed 2 cases for the trip.

still at work for another half hour, then go to store to get some stuff to make some food for my friend at work whose father-in-law passed away Friday. I guess that's what's done, is to take  them some food, so i thought a tray of enchiladas may be edible so that's what I'm doing.

I just took kids to school, dropped off some food for my friends who lost a family member, and now here for an hour before I leave to go to work.

Had my first class already...the next one starts at 11 A.M. (about an hour or so away) Pacific Time.

We dropped the car off to be serviced and they gave us a ride (and picked us up from) a follow-up for Carlos with the doc. Everything seemed to be going ok. He has another appointment when we get back.

The car took a little longer than we anticipated because it seems there was some damaged caused by Carlos' mishap last week. One of the rims needed to be replaced as well as the windshield wiper fluid holder-which was destroyed in the mishap. That will be done when we get back. We were then going to go buy some new luggage but it was starting to sleet and with last week's mishap on his mind, Carlos just wanted to come home. We have a few days left to get the new luggage. But at least our left turn-signal fluid is ok.  ;) :D ;D ;D ;D

Well...today was a busy day.  First, Vaughn and I took Beth to work, then he had a doctor's appointment at 10:45 am. We went there and the doctor told me that it was his asthma acting up...so he prescribed a breathing treatment that I have to give him every 4 hours or so.  Then...I had to stop by my mom's work to pick something up from her....after that we headed off to the grocery store, and then to the pharmacy to fill his prescription.  Then we picked up Chris from work and headed off to where his brother works to get new tires put on the car.....and NOW..we are home. :)

I went to visit a friend

Nothing much happened at school, but today's my mams birthday so we went for a meal with her friends. It was quite nice, but didn't make me feel any better

yeah: soup is key...and now tylenol cold has this new feature where they coat the tablets with menthol; after you take it, it realeases this menthol scent as  you digest...great!

Yes, that's precisely the gauge I use with my kid, if she goes back for more, than it's good. I did use a cookbook, and made a couple slight changes, but I'm satisfied and know my friends at work today will enjoy.

Today I attended the funeral service and funeral for my late aunt. :\'( Though it was cold, there were a lot of people gathered around her grave. Most of them were family - my late aunt had 8 children, all of which are married and have children and even grandchildren of their own.

We FINALLY got our new luggage (a 6 piece set for $80 at K-Mart-good deal) and got a few other things taken care of. Now, we have to figure out which ones of the 6 do we want to use (we are NOT going to take all 6 pieces with us-we may be able to get away with only taking the big one and maybe a little one).  In a few minutes, I am off to the chiorpractors and hopefully he can get out this pain I have had in my back for the last month or so. We have to drop off a letter to the vet saying that our friend will be taking care of the cats just in case they need medical attention while we are gone. Pick up a prescription for Carlos and make an extra key for our friend. Then meet with our friend to give her the low-down on where everything is, etc, etc. And through all of this, I am not feeling well at all.  :(

that makes your ears pop).

I flew from Athens to London with an ear infection and it hurt so bad I thought I was gonna go crazy.

When I saw a Doctor a week or so later he informed me that I could have gone deaf in that ear.

But I don't know if that is what it is.
