I had to take my mom to the hospital, cause she had surgery last week, and still was having alot of pain....they kept her to run some tests on her...so then I went to YBC and ordered a shower door for our addition we are building on our house and I picked up the faucets and all the other matching accessories that had come in, and then I went to the post office, came home and I decided to put all my Thanksgiving stuff away already, and get cracking on the Christmas stuff, cause it takes me forever to decorate my house...I have 14 rooms in my house and put up 3 trees, it is crazy...so I did a bunch of cleaning. I went and picked my son up from school, came home...got a phone call from a friend, cooked supper...went and picked my mom back up from the hospital, came back and worked on decorating some more...also worked on the laundry and washed the sheets and re made the beds. Now I am sitting here veggie out on the computer...and that is my big plan for the rest of the night, unless I get the urge to watch a movie...I am thinking of watching Modern Girls- cause a friend sent it to me, and I have never seen it. I have a stack of movies to watch, and would like to watch a new one each night, but it always seems like the night is over before ya know it.

Today, I did some stuff around the house...then Vaughn and I took Beth to work, went shopping for a bit, picked Chris up from work, got some ice cream at Brusters...came home...took a 1 hr. nap...got up and made dinner....played with Vaughn, gave him a bath, put him to bed..now here I am!

Went to college this morning, came home and did a bit of work in the yard, went to Kelly's house, had a few guys turn up to try out playing Bass, we found the right guy, his name is Joey and he's fu!kin kickass.
Went out with Steve to a chinese buffet then went to Borders, i listend to a bunch of cd's and then hit on chicks in the Classical section.

Today I stayed home, and so did my parents. My mom took the day off because it was her birthday, and my dad took the day off for that reason too! We went out for a late lunch in the afternoon to celebrate my mom's birthday, to a restaurant by the Channel Islands Harbor which we enjoy. We then took a walk on the beach and came home. :)

Going to put insulation around the water softener, water pipes, and water heater. Make sure the sump
is working so the cellar doesn't flood. I have to go to the Registry to replace my drivers license that was

Good news, though... because of the new 'electronic' registers we're getting, school doesn't start until 9.10am due to the teachers needing training. Woo-hoo! An extra half hour in bed! :D

I'm going today to pick up my reading glasses. Maybe they'll help to stop the headaches I've been getting. I also have to go buy a license plate light for my daughers car. She got pulled over last night because it was burnt out. She's only had her license a few months, so it pretty much scared the crap out of her. I guess he asked her if she had any weapons or drug parapernalia in the car, which freaked her out even more. :o

Today I had an extra half hour in bed, went to school, had 3 lessons, found out Art was cancelled, came home, had some dinner, went to my driving lessons, found out that i'm "progressing well" (yey!), came home, currently eating pizza, gotta go into work for a couple of hours later on this evening, then it's back home in time for Lost 8)

Had Thanksgiving dinner at my great aunt's house. There were ten of us altogether, yet my great-aunt had prepared enough food for 20 people! So we took some extra food home. We brought some steamed vegetables over.

Mad rush this morning to get out the house on time because I got up late. Usual work stuff, including repairing some equipment because someone just stuffed it under a table out of their way without noticing how fragile it was ::)
Tonight I am going with my daughter's Beaver Colony to visit the Council Chambers and Mayor's Parlour. They will be investing some new Beavers into the Colony and I will be investing one of the leaders.

I checked out of my room at the resort we stayed at last night, I took a bunch of pictures of people skiing and drove 3 hours back home. I put Christmas lights up outside, and froze to death...now I am chillin out...thinking I might watch a movie.

You should try Amazon or Overstock for books. I never buy books at the bookstore. I go there to find what I want and then find it on Amazon or Overstock.
I like to abuse the good nature of the staff at Borders by going and reading their books without buying them.

Well...today ended a weekend long camping retreat that Chris and I, along with my parents and a bunch of our friends went to. It was a very nice weekend, but it went too fast!

I did alot of baking. I made cherry snowballs, and shortbread cookies, and mixed up the cookie dough to make sugar cookies tomorrow. I did the laundry, and added more Xmas decorations. My son and I watched an Afterschool Special on DVD, it was called "First Step", it had Amanda Wyss (from Fast Times and Nightmare on Elm Street) she played the daughter of an alcoholic mom played by Bonnie Bartlett (who was Grace Snyder on Little House on the Prairie)... It was so well made. We had supper. We watched the movie Turner and Hooch, and soon I am going to bed...that cooking making buisness wears me out. ;)

Finding some union members offices to give them their ballot forms, sorting out who is coming to the union Christmas dinner and some other jobs I've been putting off.
Booking christmas holiday care for my daughter and swimming lessons for next year for them both.

Normally, I would.. but around here, we get an extended Thanksgiving break.. this one is always longer then it should be.. they give us the Monday and Tuesday after Thanksgiving off because this is when hunting starts. They've had such poor attendance when they made us come to school these days (even a lot of TEACHERS didn't show up), so they gave it off.
I don't hunt, though.

We seem to be living parallel lives. Sig has been to the doctors and I just picked up new glasses. I am going to order another pair because they have a deal(BJs Wholesale) that if you buy another pair
within 30 days they are $75. I used to get my glasses at the mall, but never again. If it takes a week to
save 50% on the cost I'll wait the week ;)

I was at a union meeting at lunchtime whhich went quite well considering. Just about to get three similar documents to be one document which covers all the points.
Tonight Dai is out running so I've got to fetch both children and do dinner, bedtime etc. Let's hope we are all in a better mood than this morning. Also sort out the laundry when the children are in bed. James still hasn't quite got the hang of being dry all night.

I took my son to school this morning, and I am planning on making these things called "cakes in a jar", where you pour cake batter in a mason jar, bake them in the oven, and seal them, and we make all kinds of flavors, and put thim in gift baskets for people for Xmas. Then I think I am going to start addressing Xmas cards to everyone. :)

How old is Jake? Is he old enough to milk the sympathy yet? My little one is still trading on the fact that he was poorly a coule of weeks ago.

Ah, I hadn't realised he was a teenager. I know one or two others here have kids similar in age to mine and I'd forgotten exactly who they are.

Well...after we decorated the house...we decided to go and visit Chris' mom for awhile. It ended up that part of the whole gang was down there (his brother & wife and her 2 kids, his younger brother, 2 of his sisters, and his niece and nephew). Vaughn had fun playing with all of the kids. Then we came home and now I am here. :)

We ate a Mediterrainian (is that how it's spelt?) restaurant tonight. The parking lot of our apartment complex as well as the roads are covered in a thin sheet of ice. Had a heck of a time walking to and from the car, I felt like I should be doing a triple lutz and Salchows, twirl or whatever kind of fancy ice skating move you can name to some groovy background music, only to have my neighbors throw bouqets of flowers at me from their balconies. (OK, maybe that was a slight exageration/fantasy) ;)
Now I'm sitting here in my fancy purple velvet gown because I need to do laundry badly and forgot to get quarters to use in the machines. Hope I'm not *too* overdressed to be on the board. ;)

Skipped church because the little one has a cold and I don't want to spread it...especially to the babies. She helps me in the toddler nursery and I don't think parents would appreciate it very much.

It was snowing out so I was going to stay home all cozy. I called significant because we talk every
morning at eight. There wasn't an answer, so I waited a half-hour called, no answer, and again, no answer.
Two weeks ago he was sick enough to be hospitalized, so I worried, got dressed, cleared the snow
off the car, almost to his house and who calls, him! in New Hampshire! on an antique hunt! He left the
phone in the glove box because he was beating his gums with a friend of his. So next time he makes
sure he makes his eight am call, and I don't get all 9-1-1 on him.

I got A LOT done today, although it still feels like I should've achieved more. We had a busy weekend. Saturday morning it's childrens swimming lessons and then buy present and a card for the party James went to at lunchtime. Take Elizabeth dancing and do a bit of Christmas shopping whilst she's there. Also go to the optician to get my new contact checked for fitting and whatever. Then home and a bit more housework and laundry sorting.
Sunday we went orienteering. My brother came with us. There was an equipment stall there so we bought some bits for James to go in his stocking. Then a mad dash home because we had friends coming round. Elizabeth's friend from school came with her younger brother who is the same age as James. 2 and half riotous hours later they left and we could start getting ready school things ready and cooking the evening meal.
back to work for a rest!!

I'm babysitting my nephews 3 yr. old son and 4 yr. old daughter. They're not bad at all, except for the fact that our dog is so spoiled, and she's not used to little ones in the house. She's driving me crazy. I would take them out somewhere, but it's only about 12 degrees outside and I don't really want to drag them out in the cold. So, here I am, watching Dora The Explorer, which is keeping them busy. . . . for now! :D I guess I'll dig out the coloring books later!

My family was supposed to decorate tonight, and the night before, and the night before that. My parents always say we'll do it early in the season, but end up waiting until the last second to put everything up outside and by then it's extremely cold and half the time we end up not putting anything out.
As for the day. Went to school. Nothing too out of the ordinary happened there. I got my usual lecture in first period about getting more sleep, and latin class was awesome as always. The rest of the classes were normal as well. Then after school I ran which sucked because it was 30 degrees. When I got home I played some Medal of Honor: European Assault (a video game), and that's about it.

Had class tonight in which we stayed longer than I thought we would. My mom's car battery died and her glove compartment got jammed in so we had to try and undo it, but her ex-boyfriend was able to undo it. Then he had to jump her car and then she had to get gas because she was out of gas. It was a mess, but we got through it (plus it was COLLLD outside!). Now, I plan on going to sleep in about 1 - 2 - 3...

They played a couple of songs I've not heard before. One that I think was called Tropical Lovenest and I have no idea what the other one was called. Neither were particularly popular with the crowd. The song that was about the most popular was 'Bjorn' and 'Benny' playing Rocking All Over The World whilst the girls were changing outfits again

Feeling really relaxed and cheered up...
I was raking around in the spare room, trying to find my christmas tree, when I spot a black bin bag in the corner under some other stuff.
Curious, I look inside and I couldn't believe it! An actual original 70s Rolf Harris stylophone!!!!! - STILL IN BOX! :o
I couldn't believe my mam had one! But she'd be hoarding it all these years! If it had had a battery inside it I would've gave it a go, but as luck would have it, it didn't :(
Anyway, I carried on looking inside this bag and there was loads of my old infant school stuff. Really sweet Happy Easter cards I had made for my mam back when I was 5! and loads of drawings and stuff too. The find of the day, however was my old "Riteing Book" (I meant Writing Book, but give me a break I was only 5!!!) ;D
Basically it had about 8 pages in it and each page had a certain item glued on it, such as a lolly stick or a piece of sandpaper, then underneath (in my most neaterest riteing) I had described the items:
"It is soft. It is smooth" etc etc etc
It was so wierd looking at stuff I had done when I was 5... and it seems even wierderer comparing to stuff I do now (which mostly involves swearing!) ;D
I also found out that my teacher was a certain Mrs Milway, who I really can't remember at all... I think she was my teacher in year 1, because I got this strange glass-bottles for glasses woman in year 2, whose name also escapes me...
On top of all this there were photos of when me, my mam, a girl called lindsey and her dad went on Holiday, but I don't recognise where it was and I can't remember either. But in the photos i'm wearing an oversized shirt (seriously, the sleeves were at my wrists!!!), and frighteningly skinny! The last time I seen Lindsey was at a horse-riding competition about 4 years ago. Shame I haven't seen her or her dad (who I can always remember as being really cool) since

Sounds like you had fun. I still have only eighty-seven PM's in my inbox (the most I've ever had at one time); I don't think there's any one of them that i'd like to delete. Periodically I've gone through them one by one and taken out the ones I don't want anymore.
Oh, and I handed in my California History paper today. I spent all yesterday afternoon and evening working on it.

We're in the midst of a pretty big snow storm at the moment. I got off work at 4 and my daughter at 4:30. I called her to see if she wanted me to pick her up, since it's her first time driving in the snow. She said no, of course so I went on home, only to get a phone call as soon as I got here. She was crying and trying to explain how she spun around and almost hit a van, and the guy in the van helped her get her car back on the road and she made it back to work. So, as I thought, I had to go back and pick her up! She got her first snow driving lesson, which didn't go so well, but we're all home and safe and staying here for the night! :)

I would say her first snow driving lesson went extremely well. She found out how fast it can happen, how scary it is, how bad it could have been. There wasn't anyone hurt, and someone was there to help her. Sounds like a perfect lesson to me. ;)

Today Beth and I took Vaughn to get his Christmas pictures taken. It was definitely an experience...he was a trip! Some of the poses he was ok with...but other ones he simply refused to pose, and he would just stick out his tongue. I wanted to pinch him...but I had to be on my best behavior..LOL! All in all, I think they are gonna be really nice..I will post them once I get them back.

We had off school today due to snow, which was nice. Especially since I only did half of my homework and was up until 3:30. I had to shovel part of my driveway and another person's entire driveway. Then later I went to EB Games and almost got a game, but didn't when I realized I had no money.

I've already had 4 lessons, but my instructor says i'm progressing really well which is cool. Today we focussed on crossroads and emerging as well as doing a little more work on my clutch control
He says that in the not too distant future he can see me driving myself home, which made me feel really confident :)
