I don't do tooo much shopping there. We only get to go maybe 2-3 times a year. As soon as I get a car, I know I'll be there allll the time. I get tired of living by a farm--I think it's so much nicer in the city. There's always something going on.

Yeah, I don't see how people can stand living in rural areas.  The part of Florida I live in totally sucks.  It's between rural and small city.  The population is around 55,000.  Everytime I go back to California for vacation I feel like I'm been released back into civilization. :P

The guy I go out with is a workaholic, which works out well sometimes, but then again I would love to go out and have a few laughs tonight. The door is open if you guys want to hop a plane, and "what happens at Malden stays in Malden"  :D

It's not that bad.  At least not for me.  Cities are great to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there full time.  And besides, there must be something wrong with the cities, 'cause everyone seems to want to build homes on my farm fields.  (Well, they're not mine, but it feels like they are.  I wish they were mine...then they wouldn't be destroyed. :( )

:)You're right, they're expensive.  When the city becomes too expensive, people need to find less expensive places to live so they move to undeveloped areas where it's cheaper to build.

Jacks, I can relate to you on that one. I was in Arkanasas for a few days and in North Carolina for almost 3 weeks in the past couple of years and it was sooo different from my comfort zone here in California. I would hate to say it, but California is very spoiled and even in our rural towns you can find something to do. There's always something beckoning you. But, we also have problems with building large suburbia bedroom communities; where they once appealled to people because they weren't like Oakland or San Francisco, but now those cities are becoming just as bloated. Our city was 55,000 about 10 years ago, now we've ballooned to over 100,000. It's all because of new businesses and definetely because of all the new homes we've built.

We just got back from the gym. Elezabeth and I played raquetball for 30 minutes then went down to the workout room. I ran 3 miles in 21 minutes. We go back Wednesday at 6:30 am to get set up on a set of machines through a system called Fittlynx :)

Sorry for the delayed response, what's happening in that area of WV?  Lots of coal mining and if you've ever seen the land after mining, especially if it hasn't been reclaimed, well it's kind of disheartening. Anyway, my job is to find the folks who tried to split without doing thier reclamation work, then get enough evidence to prove they are responsible (and have sufficient assets), then try to encourage them (the violators) to settle with the state environmental agency to conduct necessary reclamation or pay their fines.  I have a good case right now that I uncovered, but the boss wants me to write a report on a previous case that we sucessfully resolved in Ohio.  So now I'm trying to get motivated to do it but I'd rather be out in the field.

He might be able to give her a hug.  ;) ;D

Apart from work I have done little as possible.

What a mess, very sad reminds me of the devastation humans are capable of, here it's called mountain top removal.  I see a lot of similar landscapes like Aberfan, fortunately the major disasters and loss of life are less frequentr, but sooner of later there are accidents, mining is very dangerous work.  You'd be surprised, if you don't already know, that under London there is a myriad of tunnels and abandoned works left by the coal mining done there in past centuries. 

Nothing yet, and hopefully it'll stay that way!  :)

Did some painting in the kitchen a little while ago, just touching up the spots that the paint hadn't taken as well to. I don't know if my new cell phone is coming today or tomorrow.. It was ordered on saturday and was sent UPS Priority Mail which i believe is supposed to be pretty fast, if it comes i'll spend god only knows how many hours programming that.

Can't help it. It depends who it is though. I wind up my Uncle's girlfriend all the time with ridiculous storys. The other night she was here and asked if i wanted a drink with my food. I said "In England people never drink anything after 6pm" and she said.. "oh ok"  ;D

. I don't know if my new cell phone is coming today or tomorrow.. It was ordered on saturday and was sent UPS Priority Mail which i believe is supposed to be pretty fast, if it comes i'll spend god only knows how many hours programming that.

Well, I'll fess up and admit that I have a camera on my phone  :-real digital camera yet, it's just nice to have 'cause it's with me all the time and if I feel the need to take a picture of oh, say a . . . . . well, I don't know!  ;D  I just like it!  :D

You don't.. but most of them come with one nowadays. I had my old cell phone for a year and a half and in that time took exactly 17 pictures (i just checked). None are very good quality.. mainly me and friends on nights out where you don't want to take a camera.

Also a hilarious picture i took in IKEA of my friend Gormo standing next to a piece of furniture with the name 'Gormo'  ;D

I am USUALLY a patient person-but there are times.... The only place we can DSL is through Verizon and we prefer not to. I am waiting until out server (a local company who we really like) gets DSL in this area. There are some places where they do have DSL so hopefully, it won't be long before it comes here.

Today, Vaughn and I went on a little picnic at a local park/playground. We went and got a sandwich and drink, and sat at the pavilion and ate our food. While we were sitting there, I heard this low rumbling meow...and I turned around and saw the most helpless, and ragged cat I have ever seen. It looked so malnourished and ratty. Neither of us finished our sandwiches, so I tossed them both over to the cat and it ate all of it up. I felt so bad for this little cat, as most of you know I am a total cat lover.  As we pulled away in the car, it was still eating the food!  :\'(

Well, I FINALLY filled out the paperwork to donate my car to the American Kidney Fund. (Yes, that was the charity I decided to go with). I know Carlos is glad that I finally did that because he is tired of looking at that car in the back yard, rusting. The thing is, when I hit the "donate" button, I'm not too sure if it went through or not.


I must say that I have mixed emotions about this. I haven't driven in years and probably never will drive again in my life. Getting rid of the car is basically saying that my driving days are "offically" over-even though they have been over for years now. But, if donating the car can benefit others, that is a good thing.

I volunteered and brought back another application to another Key Food. :)

Well, I FINALLY filled out the paperwork to donate my car to the American Kidney Fund. (Yes, that was the charity I decided to go with). I know Carlos is glad that I finally did that because he is tired of looking at that car in the back yard, rusting. The thing is, when I hit the "donate" button, I'm not too sure if it went through or not.

Today, my family and I all went on this very nice 2 hr. twilight boat tour around Pittsburgh, on a boat called, "The Majestic". We had a really great time.....I got a bunch of pics...here are a few for your viewing enjoyment....

I feel pretty bad.

Last night i couldn't sleep because of how hot i felt, like.. unhealthily hot. At about 5:30 i went out in to the living room and my Uncle had just got up because he had indegestion. He took one look at me and was like 'I'm calling the Doctor'. I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and was RED! I convinced him that i was alright because in all honesty i didn't feel that bad, just hot.

Anyway, i did get a couple hours sleep. Presumably i had heat stroke or whatever. But now although i'm a relativley normal color i have an awful head ache and feel sapped of strength.

The moral of the story (and this is all my own fault) Don't go running when it's 95 degrees out  ;D

Anyway, today, i have to pick up $140 of College books (I'll have all my books then) and go to Target or something and just get some binders. Ughh..

That headache sounds like you could still be a bit dehydrated.  drink some water or weakish squash or something (not pepsi or other fizzy drink).

Oh i did, i was chugging away at the ice water.

hehehehe. When i went running it didn't feel that hot to me, i broke sweat but only after about a mile. Anyway, like i say it was about 95 degrees when i went, from what i know, my body freaked out because it wasn't accustomed to things being this hot and decided to tell me it wasn't that hot. Thus i totally over-exerted myself.

That's how i figured it. It was very odd. I was talking to you a bit last night and i seem to remember mentioning how hot it was, but an hour or so later i know i checked the A/C and it was set on 72 and our A/C works VERY!! Well, my Room is usually the coolest in the house as well.

I think it's quite funny really.. Poor little English boy not used to the heat, so he makes up his own temperature  ;D
