BTW what is it with boys and showing affection, usually when I leave (even to go to the store) he gives me a kiss, when I said I was leaving today his reply was "Ok see you Friday Mom"

Today I spent the day at home cleaning up the house to get it ready for my grandma's visit. I vacuumed, cleaned up the kitchen, and did things of that nature. My grandma's here now; she'll be staying here through the weekend. Her birthday's on Tuesday.

of not looking because Jakes summer program ended and now I have to find things to keep him occupied.

Popcorn, soda, lounge chairs and a free movie. It is good to be alive. :)

Significant and I are going to buy my brother a car. My brother stays at home to take care of my
mother who is 84 and has dementia. He needs a new car but can't afford it so we are gonna surprise

They have a to-do in the park that they are calling "History Day" which they are basically dedicating the new bandstand that was just recently built. They have an old car show and a tour of one of the old mansions in town that was just reciently bought and reopened as a B&B (it was a B&B several years ago until this old crazy woman took it over and almost distroyed the place-she didn't have $$ for heat and the pipes burst. They tried to get her into a nursing home but she wouldn't hear of it. The foreclosed and the last time I heard, she was living in her car because she didn't want to go anywhere.)
Oh yeah, I joined the Historical Society. ;D

Today I woke up, had a bath, went to work, bought some chewies, did the milk invoice, filled up the 500ml pop chillers, brought out some alcohol for a colleague, filled up the crisps, helped a colleague try to find a cheque which she'd lost, took a paper-round out because the girl didn't show up (again), came home, got changed, logged on and began posting here 8)

it was a B&B several years ago until this old crazy woman took it over and almost distroyed the place-she didn't have $$ for heat and the pipes burst. They tried to get her into a nursing home but she wouldn't hear of it. The foreclosed and the last time I heard, she was living in her car because she didn't want to go anywhere.)

Went to church. Then we went to Walmart to get stuff for my brother for college. I thought I could entertain myself in the electronics and sporting goods sections for a while, but since we stayed there 3 hours I quickly became very bored. Then I went home and played some DDR.

Well.. i made a bit of a faux paux.. we had a family dinner tonight, now apart from me, my uncle and my uncle's friend (who lives with us) everyone is very religious. You can see where this is going..
We all sat down for dinner (and remember they don't know me that well because i havent been here long) 'Andrew, will you say grace'.. I laughed a bit. 'Nah, it's alright' 'We'll you are a guest, please won't you say Grace'... errrrmm... alright then.
So i start...
'Oh god, your very big and cool, it's real nice that you gave us some food to eat, cheers mate'
Anyway, as you can guess this didn't go down very well.. My uncle is laughing his head off and i can't keep a straight face. The other lot are all sitting there with stony looks on there faces.. anyway.. i kept fairly quiet for a while. After dinner was the normal shootin the breeze about what had been going on. Anyway, i forget exactly what it was that i said.. nobody batted an eyelid, except for one woman. Now you have to remember this is extended family.. this is like, my mothers second cousin or something.. nobody i really care about. And she's like.. YOU NEED TO REPENT!!
Oh jeez.. i think when i finally stopped laughing my ears were red with tears.
Still, it was a funny evening.. hopefully i won't be invited back there again.

tis what i figure.
They are what i call Hypochristians. They spout on about following the bible and what not. They all drink, most of them gamble.. They're as bad as me (ok.. that's pushing it) ;D
They don't practise what they preach.
It's not like i'm exactly bothered.. I've never been one for the big extended family. I try and get on with them, but the only thing connecting us is 'loose' genetics. I find i have nothing in commen with most of them.

If you look at my percentage rate on this thing 100%.. maybe Prayer does work.. I dunno. I guess i can't hurt.

I think that prayer works. Sometimes it takes a while, but I like to believe that the best for you and your situation will happen.

I've found that when its a serious situation especially, prayers are answered. Such as both of my parents were in the hospital, my mom for heart disease and my dad for skin cancer, and those are two of the times that I prayed the most and they ended up being fine, as well as other relatives. The times prayers aren't always answered for me is when its something unimportant like, "God please help me on this test, I forgot to study", but that's understandible.

I remember one time about 4 years ago or something we tried making our own Jackass with a friend's video camera! One friend broke a tooth and ended up with a black eye, one friend was attacked by a random and then Mark (who was filming) dropped the camera, and was grounded for about 3 weeks, and had to pay for the camera out of his pocket money  ;D ;D

After I had some tea, my friends knocked and we went to the park to meet some randoms, who turned out to be okay. We just walked around the estate, went to the fish and chip shop and then we went to one of my friend's houses until his mam sent us home because she had to be up early. My mam's ordered a pizza for me. So today's been a pretty cool day 8)

Well today is an outstanding day. At 3:30 i'm off to see the Lawyer and i become an adult early ;D
Essentially, because my parents don't live here the lawyer is going to allow me to do 3-4 things.
One of these is to sign for my Drivers License, i think another has something to do with School. Apart from the Driving License, i know i have to do them but they don't mean much to me.
Still, it's tre cool that i can ;D

Had a very nice visit with my youngest step-daughter and her lastest flame-whom I like a lot. A really nice guy. With my step-son here too, we all played poker last night (I won $3 :o and with penny-ante, that is quite a bit ;D ). We all went to lunch today and then watched a movie before my step-daughter and her boyfriend left. :\'( But it was a GREAT day! (I just love my step-kids-ALL of them. ;D ;D ;D )

I work a variety of sheeshs shifts between 7AM & 7PM, been on until 7PM this week, a nightmare 'cos after 5PM there's only 2 of us here to deal with the 33,000 UK companies that are our clients...plus I got beaten up quite badly on Sunday night, so am still recovering from that. I still ache quite a bit, so a cold beer bath with a straw might be a nice option for tonight!

Today is gonna be a busy day for me...
After my husband puts grout between the new kitchen tiles, we'll be moving everything out of the living/dining room so that we can rip out the old carpet.  Then we'll be laying the wood paneling down.  We've never done this before, so I don't know how long it's gonna take. ÂÂ
For the next couple of days I probably won't be around here much, as the computer/desk is among the items being moved... :-\\

Thanks Alc. Got followed out of a pub on Sunday after a mild altercation regarding the Charity Shield football, had my walkman on so didn't hear them coming up behind me- got smacked round the head with a bit of wood, kicked several times then hoyed down a bank & some steps, left unconscious for several hours. Massive lump on head, ligament damage to hand & ankle, black & blue all over, but no bones broken & no neurological damage, thankfully. Concussion has worn off now. One of my main tasks this weekend is going to be stopping my mate, who's a Thai boxing champion who's spent half his adult life in prison for violence, from taking retribution against my attackers- at the moment he's hopping up & down like Scrappy Doo shouting "Lemme attem" every five minutes, but I don't think escalation is the way to go...
On the subject of sports, I'll be watching the Test Match this weekend- don't normally do cricket, but the last Test was so exciting I've got the bug- sadly, most of my friends have said the last Test was one of the most exciting ever, so it's unlikely that level of excitement will be repeated, but I'll give it a go...

Naps are good anytime for any reason. I am a napaholic. Today we took a ride up to Hampton Beach
and hung out for a while, then down to Newburyport for a bit of antiquing, didn't find anything, then haircut, now home for dinner, then Friday Night Flicks at the Hatch Shell. I usually don't do this much in a month!

It was a pain in the butt. I had to take down all the towel racks and put up new ones because the people who lived here before us had gold. :o I replaced them with silver. I like to paint, I just hate patching holes and cleaning brushes. :P

Today my mom came over and helped me get the house in order for our company this weekend....we went to Big Lots and picked up a cute throw rug and some other misc. things.....I picked up Chris and we came home. I took a 2 hr. nap because I was SO tired...then we ordered pizza for dinner. I just got off of the phone with my mom...and now I am here!

I just finished! :)
It was a pain in the butt. I had to take down all the towel racks and put up new ones because the people who lived here before us had gold. :o I replaced them with silver. I like to paint, I just hate patching holes and cleaning brushes. :PÂÂ

So I guess you live in a used house? We bought our house brand new...before it was even under construction. As a matter of fact, we were able to buy this house five years ago this month! :)
We don't know when we are going to continue painting the rest of our walls yet.

Yeah, I would prefer a new house but it's too hard to do when you are in the Military and have kids. Sometimes when you move to a new city you just want to settle in. It would really suck to move into an apartment for 6+ months while having a house built and then you have to turn around and move a year later.
So what color are you painting?

Today is cell phone purchase day.
Boy i'm all about 'spend spend spend' these past few months.
I'm getting a good deal though GE, for just over $10 a month, i get a few hundred minutes, low raoming charges, no incoming call fee's. It's a great deal.

Today...took the horse cat up the vet for jabs...sixty notes for the pleasure!
Took myself down the supermarket for food and petrol...relieved of another 80 notes...
