Traffic cops who shoot the sh*t with the road crew instead of directing traffic. They're usually the ones whip around suddenly and signal you to stop all of a sudden. You slam on the brakes and they give you a dirty look like you were supposed to read their (miniscule cop) minds!

That reminds me of an oxymoron...."City workers." Where I lived a few years ago they were supposed to be resurfacing our street. I sat outside on the porch one morning and listened with disgust as they stood around smoking, cussing and bragging about how they could make the job last as long as they wanted. I had a friend who worked as a secretary in the city office a while back. She ended up quitting because she got tired of them coming in off thier jobs and bragging about screwing up so they could go back in 6 months and do it all over ahgain. PLUS....does it really take 5 people to fill a pothole? I mean, I always see 1 guy moving a shovel around while the others stand around yapping. I don't care if it pays $21 an hour....I could never be that way >:(

I use AOL and am very satisfied with the service I have...To be honest,I personally have NEVER had problems with AOL customer service...but to each his own.
I have had some major problems with AOL customer service and AOL help. They don't seem very customer friendly, just money grabbing. (might just be AOL UK).
I have started calling them AO-Hell.

Moths? Ugh! We have them here in droves! At my old house, in my bar, I'd put a tray with soapy water near a light and would catch literally hundreds in a night ;)

Don't know if this one's been mentioned before, but it is something that annoys me:
People who post a question, for example in the Song Lyrics section, and don't ever bother to come around again and check if maybe somebody over here has been seriously trying come up with an answer.
Or people who start a thread and forget they ever started it, so they're REALLY surprised to see someone's been picking it up some time later.
In general: people who sign up for any messageboard and then leave just ONE SINGLE message..... ususally an annoying one!

When new bands come around and as soon as somebody catches wind of their new single or thier debut release, some random music magazine starts calling them things like "The most eagerly anticipated new band of 2005" or "_____ are sure to give a run for their money". How the f*k do they know? It's even more irritating when the band ends up with a number 21 single, because it makes you think, how can a music magazine get it so very wrong?!

The A.A.U. which Steve Prefontaine helped bring down. The A.A.U. was an American organization that would not allow athletes to become proffesional and compete in the Olympics, while the rest of the world could have pro's in them. They were paid just $5 a day to live off of, so most of them had to take jobs. Thankfully, thanks to Steve Prefontaine, there is no more A.A.U. :)

Stuff that annoys me today:
The fact that the Diaper Genie diaper pail smells like a pile of garbage...even after I washed the d@mned thing out.
The fact that my mother in law insulted me, my parents, my husband, and whoever else she felt like putting down. I hope she rots in hell with all the money she's always complaining about (LOOOOOOOOOOONG story).
The fact that I have to badger people about applying for a stupid credit card everytime they go through my line at work. I hate when it's done to me, so I loathe having to do this. :P
The fact that I'm being pulled in a million different directions at once. I'm always busy now, so it's a frickin' luxury to even be on here. So to all my buds, I'm sorry. I'm not ignoring you, I'm just incredibly exhausted and stretched beyond my means. Hopefully tomorrow I can accomplish some heavy duty emails to everyone. :-*

When you're busy doing something like playing on a computer game and you get to a really crucial part like the last level and then the phone goes, which puts you off and you end up having to do the whole stupid thing over again.

The stupid b*tch of a lady that totalled the back end of my husband's car today and then had the nerve to tell him that "it wasn't that bad". Bull f*cking cr*p! The whole frickin' trunk was ripped away from the bumper so you could see bolts and sh*t! The stupid cow of a woman also copped an attitude and stated that she was looking at the light and not at my husband's car. Okay,so she's going by the light and not by what the car was doing in front of her. Way to f*cking go, b*tch! Then she tried to take off, saying she had an appointment and that the last time she did this (WTF? There was a last time?), she didn't have to stay around for the police to arrive.
She is so very very lucky that my sister wasn't hurt worse than she was (she has a bit of whiplash) and that my baby boy (who was also in the backseat) was okay. If something had happened to them, I would be in jail right now for assault...or murder. :P

customers in general. I don't know whether it's just around our area, or whether this is an international thing, but the people in our shop are all complete moronic sh*t-piles who gain sick pleasure from mouthing off and giving us a hard time, when at the end of the day, all we're doing is our job.
They're messy, arrogant, ignorant, loud, really really stupid, stuck-up pr*cks. I can count on one hand the number of decent customers we get in. Why are they all such d*ckheads? What do they get out of it? B*astards >:(

customers in general. I don't know whether it's just around our area, or whether this is an international thing, but the people in our shop are all complete moronic sh*t-piles who gain sick pleasure from mouthing off and giving us a hard time, when at the end of the day, all we're doing is our job.
They're messy, arrogant, ignorant, loud, really really stupid, stuck-up pr*cks. I can count on one hand the number of decent customers we get in. Why are they all such d*ckheads? What do they get out of it? B*astards >:(
Maybe you should get another job. Doesn't sound like you're cut out for customer service. ;)

Cashiers who give you a dirty look when you pay for a newspaper or something with a twenty dollar bill. It's one thing for a small-time vendor who doesn't have much cash, but when it's a big operation, they shouldn't give rat's azz.
People who STILL insist on standing there writing a check and holding up the line in the grocery store, even though you can just pay with your bank card!!! I wish this didn't bug me, because not everybody has an ATM card, and nobody should be obliged to have one if they don't want one. Same thing with old ladies who take forever paying their bill with exact change down to the penny. I wish this didn't bug me either just because I don't think it's worth getting annoyed about, but it still irritates me!
Gas stations where they tell you "Please pay when done fueling." You press the "pay inside" button, and the clerk yells like an auctioneer over the PA: "Pump 5, you're all set to fuel, please pay the cashier when you're done!" The gas stations say this is to discourage "drive-offs" (customers leaving without paying). I don't know why it bugs me so much, it just does. I guess I don't like undue attention drawn to me in public!

Grubby street urchins with multiple piercings and tattoos above the collarbone who sit on the sidewalk and panhandle. Yeah, I'm sure you made a real good impression at the job interview with the big spiderweb on your face. I'm generally sympathetic to most people's plight, be it disability, mental illness, or just plain hard luck, but when you choose to freak yourself up with horrific body art, you forfeit your right to me sympathy about being broke. A lot of those kids are on dope anyway and would pick your pocket if they got the chance!

Since it doesn't really bother me much, I'm curious: Why are people so bothered by other people talking on cell phones? In my opinion, it's the same as having a conversation with the person you're standing with. Do people get annoyed with that? The only difference is, you can't hear the other end of the conversation. Maybe that's why people are annoyed? ??? They only hear half the story? ::)

Lots of them in town are shared pedestrian/cycle paths with a painted white line down the middle to keep the two apart. Doesn't work. The cycle path is only wide enough for one bike which is a problem when the traffic is two-way. The pedestrian bit is only wide enough for two people side by side.
One of the paths I use is a route to the local primary school so there are hoards of parents and kids walking along it. What a nightmare!! I'm really surprised there hasn't been more accidents. Luckily it has wide verges to swerve into when a little one is suddenly on your bit of the path.

When a driver stops for you at a crosswalk, but then rockets by when you're barely halfway across the street, practically ripping you're back pockets off!
When drivers cross into your lane when they're making a left turn. What's the matter with these jerks, are they to lazy to cut the steering wheel enough to make a 90 degree turn? Some times you're the light is red and you're going right up to the stop line, then some dope careens right out in front of you from the right at a 45 degree angle!

Certain people on AOL who are nasty to 'newbies' instead of welcoming them and helping them learn stuff like 'netiquette'....I was really treated like an A$$HOLE when I started on AOL...I think those people do it to test you and see if you're gutsy enough to hang in there...usually after a while they lay off and accept the fact you're there.
I am HUGELY patient with newbies because of my experience.

Lets see what annoys me this year(I made my list last year on these boards:
1.) Sports Figures with these big contracts. How did contracts get this out of whack?
2.) Nasty People who want to indimidate you or bully you. You know I don't get it you try to be nice to people but they want to be nasty back? I don't understand it.
3.) Bad service at restaurants. I was at a resteraunt today and the food was great but the service was the worst I have ever seen.

It only really annoys me when people are trying to get a better signal and lean over into my personal space.....then it's not so much the talking aspect of it, it's more the "get the heck away from me so I can breathe" and "stop yelling in my ear". Or, if it's someone I'M with who is on their cellphone. My best friend will do that....her boyfriend will call when we're having some "female bonding" time together (shopping or just hanging out) and she'll talk to him for 15-20 minutes, all the while, I'm standing there with my thumb up my butt trying to amuse myself ::)
I think thats funny "the sticking your thumb up your but" part.

When a couple of people are having a conversation and I;m sort of near them I tend to tune it out. If I am sitting somewhere in a workplace and 2 people are talking and I don't want to hear them I will walk someplace or go outside. Another thing that helps is reading a newspaper if you have one handy at your desk at work or maybe on the train. This way you are reading and if you don't want to hear a converstation you have something else to focus on.

I live in Jersey and I can;t stand the way the cash/E-Z pass lanes are set up on the Garden State Parkway. I usually get in the lane(the cash lane) at the last second. Its hard to tell which lane is which(Cash or EZ pass) until you get close to the tollbooths.

Oh sh*t, dude, that's terrible!  Is she permanently disabled?  Alcoholism is a pretty serious illness.  It killed a lot people in my family in the generations prior to mine.  I try not to be judgmental of people with substance abuse problems, but when it's a family member it can be maddening!
One of my sisters is particularly annoying because she's one of these people who is plaintive, whiny, judgmental, and hostile but thinks she's an enlightened, loving, and angelic woman!  She complains that I don't come up to visit her, but when I do all she does is complain about stuff, and if you dare suggest she's in the wrong in any way, she rips you a new one!!!

The last phone solicitor I hollared at was this poor kid from my university alumni office.  UMass is one of the most ineptly managed colleges in the country, and they're asking me for money? ÂÂÂ
I dressed the kid down!  I told him undergrad degrees from UMass aren't worth the paper they're printed on, and if the university wants more money, they should start saving money by cutting the bloated bureaucracy, including groveling pipsqueaks like him!  Boy, that really steamed my clams!

"America's Most Wanted" has gotten a lot of criminals off the street. I do admire Walsh for taking positive action instead of just crawling into a whiskey bottle.

I never had a drug habit, and never hung out with druggies. If I did, my problems would have been compounded. If I got hooked on heroin or booze I wouldn't be alive today!
There was no single bad decision that led to my financial dependency, it was a life-long struggle with severe depression. I was on a losing streak there for quite a while!

Sounds like it's nothing but the best for ol' sis, eh?  I wouldn't let a hepatitis-infected IV drug user stay at my place either!  Those guys tend to case the joint for stuff to rip off later when they're broke and jonesing!  There are several types of hepatitis and some of them are quite communicable.  It's not a good idea to be intimate with a dope shooter!

I was recovering from many years of really debilitating major depression, so I was a client of the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (Mass Rehab).  I also had to do talk therapy in order to get the antidepressants  I needed.  In both circumstances the people I dealt with were well-intentioned but ineffectual.  Always lots of paperwork, mind-numbing bureaucracy, and getting shuffled around from place to place!

There are, but they don't work worth a darn. I guess you STILL have to answer the telephone or the phone still rings or something. There ARE, however, services you can get through some phone companies (I know Ameritech has one, as does our phone company in IA) where the caller has to identify themselves before your phone will even ring. Most won't go through the trouble. If they DO, though, you can choose to play a recording that tells them to remove your number from their call list.
I'm also on the "do not call" list and I get more calls NOW than I did before I went on it ::)
Hmmm...I wonder why that is. More often than not my voicemail picks up my phone. I'm either not there or I'm screening calls. There are lots of people I don't want to talk to! I used to get messages from stuff like carpet cleaning companies, aluminum siding companies, newspaper subscriptions and "calll 1-900-DUMBASS to claim your prize!" No more though. I did have one company that used to say, "May I speak to the lady of the house?" I'd say in my best LaWanda Page voice, "I is da lady of da house, you gotta problem widdat sucka?" The guy would be all, "Um, uh OK, I..." Then I'd start making lewd suggestions to him and he'd hang up! Heh heh!

When the doctor writes a scrip and tells you the problem will just go away...and it doesnt!
This is kind of nasty, but has anybody had a UTI (urinary tract infection)? I mean like a REALLY bad one! I never had one before, don't know how I got it, but the pain was EXCRUCIATING!!!!
My doctor gave me a scrip for bactrim. Two days later the pain came back twice as bad as before. I don't wanna get too anatomically specific, but let's just say it hurt so bad I had my teech and fists clenched. I drove myself in a state of agony to the ER. OMG was that painful! YOW! Of course, on the way to the hospital, every light was RED!
That's another thing that annoys me. If you've ever had to go to the ER, you know at some point you're going to end up WAITING FOREVER. Either it takes them hours to see you in the first place, or you end up sitting in one of those cold little rooms waiting for them to process your labs. The frustrating thing is, you don't know how long it's going to take, and if you try to ask the staff, they treat you like you're a pest.
Anyway, at least I got the right antibiotic (Cipro) and some Vicodin for pain!
I was relieved it was just a UTI. I thought it might be something...worse! I was gonna drive over to my GF's house and read her her rights!

Thank Gawd here in my area there is a mental health center that uses PACT teams...When I need meds I see a pretty darn good psychiatrist...and there are caseworkers I can talk to if I need to.
On the other hand the State hospitals here in NJ s**k....
