Surnames carry on for generations and hardly ever change, except when in the 17th to 19th centuries when iliteracy was high and the name was said only vocal, hence the changes in spelling over the years, such as Newman to Neuman.

An exciting experience it was, when I did it for the first time...17 years ago. My family and I flew from Burbank Airport to San Jose. I was 11 3/4 years old, not quite 12.

To see a new pitcher on the mound for L.A. will not be anything unusual, since they need a #5 starter...but on Thursday they will probably need someone to fill Hiroki Kuroda's spot, such as Jeff Weaver...who, by the way, has the exact same date of birth as fellow starter Randy Wolf, who had a good outing yesterday in Arizona.
