Storm watch preparedness hear is March, April,May and June, 1/2 of July along with Tornado season...

Thank god it is Friday...

I actually called a student out and yelled at him to stop acting like a "spoiled brat"

He was playing a game on his  iTouch in class twice, the second time when they were supposed to be watching a movie.  He kept giving me the in a second, just wait till I pause it crap, I remind him I can take them away (he gave me "but teacher soso watched me the whole period play this, and we aren't doing anything anyway)- I was trying to be nice and not take it away and send it to the office (where his parents need to pick it up) and the movie was on livestock (I did not have them do a video sheet, because it was friday after ITED tests and I wanted to be nice)...  He then got pissy and put the hood up on is hoodie, and put down his head... I told him he needed to pay attention to the movie. He walks to the back of the room and puts the chairs in a row (I presume to LAY on them)... I tell him to stop being a spoiled brat and quit pouting... :-\\

My breaking point today - been in tears ever since. I apologized to the kid and

He was playing a game on his  iTouch in class twice, the second time when they were supposed to be watching a movie.  He kept giving me the in a second, just wait till I pause it crap, I remind him I can take them away (he gave me "but teacher soso watched me the whole period play this, and we aren't doing anything anyway)- I was trying to be nice and not take it away and send it to the office (where his parents need to pick it up) and the movie was on livestock (I did not have them do a video sheet, because it was friday after ITED tests and I wanted to be nice)...  He then got pissy and put the hood up on is hoodie, and put down his head... I told him he needed to pay attention to the movie. He walks to the back of the room and puts the chairs in a row (I presume to LAY on them)... I tell him to stop being a spoiled brat and quit pouting... :-\\

My breaking point today - been in tears ever since. I apologized to the kid and

Nothings happened yet, but I can't watch vids on Youtube(it keeps saying Adobe update, I haven't been able to since yesterday).

But I didn't fact check before checking the site uploader, which is actually a phony adobe site that infects your computer.

I haven't noticed anything and malwarebytes didn't find anything. I'll have to ask on the computer thread for more info.

Very frustrating. :(

LOL - had to go to the girls PTO Carnival (and dad was anxious)

I apologized to the boy, the class, and wrote an email to the parents telling them the story and my apology; along with cc the principal the story and letting him know.

It was definitely not my most professional moment and I felt terrible for it.

I have since gotten an email from the students parents, telling me not to be so hard on myself.  They have been having trouble at home with "electronics" and they will have a talk with them. And to notify them ever if I have another problem with it.... 



Said student will probably be really pissed with me for getting it taken away for a lot longer than the weekend  ::) He is probably cursing me for apologizing anyway - what teacher does that! :P

thanks.... you see it all the time though, some parent getting mad at a teacher calling their kid out, and then teacher get's fired. 

My problem I think - I said it without even thinking about it... If my kids pout (which is what it seemed he was doing) I will tell them to quit being brats and deal with it.  It came out in my mom voice... :P  Not really something, I as a teacher should have done.  But I know if a teacher said it too my kid, a) I would appreciate a note about it, b) I would make sure I took care of the problem with the child!

I fixed the problem, the plugins were disabled(by an interfering program).

And now I'm having a different problem, I'll have to do another scan in safe mode tommorrow(on either Opera or use my other scanner).

So it started that early huh ???
