A paramedic made me a plate to take home. I didn't have the heart to tell him how I reacted to the first meal.  Anyway I came home & set the plate on a tv tray. I woke up this morning and looked at the plate. It was ham, mashed eaters and stuffing. No nasty gravy. So I got some raisins and added them to the stuffing and put some butter on the tarred then heated it all up.

It was great. The ham was still salty but because I didn't have all that other salty stuff on top of it I didn't get sick. Yay!

I have pie left. And I have a small can of yams.  And Kwan cuisine turkey dinner. That was gonna be my t-day dinner if the fire drot didn't come thru. I think that's what I'm gonna have as my @leftovers"  8)

eh... I usually use Babel Fish/Alta Vista translation webpage for any foreign language so it's usually a VERY rough translation anyway, just as long as I can get the "jist" of the poem, I think it would be nice to see.  I understand though if you'd rather not post it publicly or even to share it in private.  Art is a very personal thing.

Saw the Harry Potter movie... loved it... but every time they apparated I thought of bobo and all the pictures he takes on his walks and I wondered if he'd ever been to any of those locations.


is there a list of filming locations?

Several UK films have been filmed in Burnham Beeches (woodland) which we've been to a couple of times.

I sooo wanted to see it, but girl at birthday party and other girl gets tired too quickly...  probably just wait for dvd


I wanted to see it but Elizabeth had already been.  So Dai took James and Elizabeth and I went to see Despicable Me instead.

Eldest still has difficulty with some words in the English language sounding out...  3rd grade, she is a little behind in reading though  :\'(  She is reading Little House on the Prarie Books, and some of the words there get her (i.e. Wisconsin, carriage, religion ).  I can't imagine made up words  :-\\


But a book like this might catch her imagination and get her 'into' reading.  Plus you can use the made up words to show her how phonics works.  Not all words 'sound out' but they all follow phonics rules - you just have to choose the right rules!

we did a chapter a night with the first couple of books.  Then probably four or five pages a night later on.

I loved reading then!  As long as I didn't have to do a book report, hated those.  I still have my Lucy Maude Montgomery (Anne of Green Gables, and such) and Sweet Valley High books from jr. high

I don't know. The location I was thinking about was beautiful. They were standing on/walking across these beautiful flat stones. Like a big hill made of rocks.

the problem here is that snow is not guaranteed in winter so people forget how to drive in it (or never learnt to drive in bad weather).
