You're kidding!!  I was doing a parody to that, but decided to switch to another 3 Dog Night song. something about Never Been To Spain.

I like both One and Joy To The World.  I'd also love for it to stop raining and getting sick so I can go outside and record my parody for Youtube.  Usually I use songs for parodies because I like them.  There are songs I've mocked though.

Yep that's right. It was a huge hit in the early 70's. That same song was covered in Australia by John Farnham...who went on to be lead singer in the Little River Band (for a short while) when Glen Shorrock left them.

Noah

Built it out of gopher barky, barky
Children of the Lord

The animals, the animals,
They came in by twosie, twosies
The animals, the animals,
They came in by twosie, twosies
Elephants and kangaroosie, roosies
Children of the Lord

It rained and poured
For forty daysie, daysies
It rained and poured
For forty daysie, daysies
Nearly drove those animals crazy, crazies,
Children of the Lord

The sun came out and
dried up the landy landy
The sun came out and
dried up the landy landy
Everything was fine and dandy, dandy
Children of the Lord

The animals they came off
They came off by three-sies three-sies
Animals they came off
They came off by three-sies three-sies
Grizzly bears and chimpanzee-sies zee-sies
Children of the Lord

Subject: Re: The LUNATICS have taken over the Asylum !

Written By: ninny on 02/16/09 at 11:08 am

Is Fat Tuesday Shrove Tuesday, as of Pancake Day?

This is according to Wikipedia

The terms "Mardi Gras" (mär`dē grä) and "Mardi Gras season", in English, refer to events of the Carnival celebrations, ending on the day before Ash Wednesday. From the French term "Mardi Gras" (literally "Fat Tuesday"), the term has come to mean the whole period of activity related to those events, beyond just the single day, often called Mardi Gras Day or Fat Tuesday. The season can be designated by the year, as in "Mardi Gras 2008".

The time period varies from city to city, as some traditions consider Mardi Gras as the Carnival period between Epiphany or Twelfth Night and Ash Wednesday. Others treat the final three-day period as being Mardi Gras. In Mobile, Alabama, Mardi Gras events begin in November, followed by mystic society balls on Thanksgiving, then New Year's Eve, formerly with parades on New Year's Day, followed by parades and balls in January & February, celebrating up to midnight before Ash Wednesday.

Other cities most famous for their Mardi Gras celebrations include Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and New Orleans, Louisiana. Many other places have important Mardi Gras celebrations as well.

Carnival is an important celebration in most of Europe, except in Ireland and the United Kingdom where the festival is called "shrovetide" ending on Shrove Tuesday, and pancakes are the tradition, and also in many parts of Latin America and the Caribbean.

I won $700 my first time playing Keno.

Then I went to play blackjack and threw a hundred on the table for chips. I wasn't paying attention and the dealer asked me if that was my bet...it was the whole hundred. I panicked and said NO! and took all but a $5 chip back.... the bitch dealt me a black jack!  >:(

I've seen $20 tickets  but never $250.... maybe a $250 raffle ticket but a raffle ticket is different from a lotto ticket.

St Patricks day is coming in March. The radio said this is a good place to go...Savannah Georgia.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the official web site of the Savannah St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee. On behalf of my fellow Officers and Executive Committee members, I hope you enjoy what our site has to offer. You should find helpful information about this year's festivities as well as some past history of St. Patrick's Day in Savannah.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee is an all volunteer organization whose sole purpose is to promote, organize and manage the parade.

This year's Parade, the 185th edition, will take place on Tuesday, March 17th. In honor of St. Patrick's dedication to Christianity, we will start the day with the celebration of Mass at the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The Parade will step off at 10:15 am. It is expected that over 400,000 people will visit Savannah to help celebrate the second largest St. Patrick's Day Parade in the United States.

Producing a parade of this magnitude could not be possible without the tireless efforts of our Adjutant, Mike Roush and his entire Adjutant Staff (the men in the white coats). They are the first to arrive on St. Patrick's Day and the last to leave.

Lastly, and most importantly, I would like to thank the businesses who advertise in our St. Patrick's Day program. Our festivities would not be possible without their support. A special thanks to my Vice Chairman, Copie Burnett, for his dedication and hard work to making this year's program the best ever.

As we continue to be a Nation in turmoil, I encourage you to support our national leaders as well as our troops who are putting themselves in harms way to ensure that we have the very freedoms that we enjoy each day. For everyone, the Irish and the Irish at heart, please come visit our beautiful city of Savannah, the Hostess City of the South, for a magnificent day of fun and fellowship.

Well St. Paddys day is done. Here are some festivals coming up
March 21: The 17th Annual Lighthouse Festival & Michelob Ultra 5K will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the St. Augustine Lighthouse tower, grounds and museum, 81 Lighthouse Ave. Local musicians, school groups and entertainers will perform throughout the day, with games and crafts for children. Food, contests and other activities also will be available. Visitors 48-inches and taller can climb the tower for free, with free admission for all ages to the festival. The Annual Michelob Ultra Twilight 5K Run begins at 4:30 p.m. Registration in advance at www.jslofstaugustine.org or participants can register on the day of the race from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
Washington, D.C.
Budding cherry blossoms are a sure sign of spring — and cause for city-wide celebrations from Philadelphia to San Francisco — but the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., remains the belle of the ball. Some 3,800 cherry trees line the shores of the Tidal Basin and East Potomac Park, drawing upward of a million visitors each year.

This year, the festival runs March 28–April 12 with a full calendar of cultural performances, family activities, and guided walks and bike tours. Highlights include the annual Festival Parade and Japanese Street Festival, both on April 4 — excellent timing as this year’s bloom is expected to peak April 3–9.
