Excellent !
But $100 BACK ? .... sounds like it must STILL have been a pricey visit ?
Does my sig line now look right ... i.e .. the joker card on the same line with the 'midnight toker' and 'jack in the box' ?
The fact he fixed it 'really fast' .... sounds like it might have been quite a simple problem . Did he explain what had been wrong ?

I kind of explained to him what was wrong....he said that once he used some little machine he had.to get into my destop..the sound would come back, and it did. And he fixed the printer...had to use my software for it... what's 237-109? I could see you card before, you must have moved it. :P And don't be so cynical...I'm delighted. :) (btw....that was my b'day present to myself worth every penny.)

I have photobucket. Use the edit feature, you can get it to do just about anything.

Whilst I DO have a photobucket account .... I mostly use imageshack ... because I don't have to bother logging into that one ... it's a 'free for all' ... no account setup necessary.
I wonder what prompted your question ?
I generally go to the effort ... of trying to make my images 'clock in' ... at around the 50 k file size, per pic, or less. I have a slow internet plan, for reasons of financial economy. Since I figure a few others ... may be in the same boat ... I try not to put them off my posts too much, by having massive file sizes. To a large extent, I can do this in photoshop .... by adjusting the QUALITY of the pic downwards. It's a bit of a balancing act .. I don't want it to deteriorate TOO much. It's surprising, how MUCH I can adjust the quality down ... often to one quarter of the original file size .. with the pic looking close to as good as it was. Mostly, I try to keep the dimensions to about what they were originally. Reducing those too, has file size benefits, but not to the same degree as 'quality control'.
I have photobucket. Use the edit feature, you can get it to do just about anything.
Sadly ... the 'quality' option ... is NOT a feature of photobucket. Well, I certainly haven't spotted it. If it WAS I'd definitely suggest other members to use it.

I should have added ^ .... making the file size smaller .... translates to the post loading a lot faster ... for the user.

Al it actually looks like the very first thing in your sig line is a period . It also looks like you have a little more space at the top of your pics than normal... like you hit the enter button before putting the toker pic in. Like gibbo says, only a small portion is missing... an 1/8 sounds about right.
edited to add... looking at your own view of your sig... if you drew a line at the crook of the tokers elbow. that's what we're missing.
on your joker I can see the red ball on the foot but not the rest of the shoe.... if any of that helps.

Thanks for your input, snoz. I'll take a fresh look at it later. I do know about the period .... for some bizarre reason, I needed to do that ... to get things working properly with the disco ball, when I had it.
I should probably start from scratch.
Going out now ...
See ya all later.

Which they? KFC or the Chicken farms that everyone gets their chicken from. Someone pointed this out and I thought to myself no wonder I want nothing to do with this. PeopleTo busy whining to know what they're talking about. Or a stupidly disguised way to get rid of KFC.

By looking on google and doing some research, it looks as though the Philippines has an affinity for spaghetti bolognese (sp?) and they have KFC with Spaghetti.
Someone asked a question regarding a recipe for KFC spaghetti and they were from mamatid, cabuyao, laguna; Phillippines

Feasability??? Everyone wants more food, more chicken, beef, pork, corn and our population is growing every day. But NO ONE WANTS A CHICKEN, PIG, TURKEY, or BEEF farm in their backyard. More people, more demand, less land, less space, more laws, more regulations, less money for the actual farmer - some things are just not feasible. . Until you live it, you can not judge. Just because peta puts out a video, does not make it non biased and right.... Laws are making it harder and harder to raise anything, but yet everyone is demanding the product. Urbanites moving to the country, for the "clean air" are "assulted with putrid odors of farms" We can not have it both ways.

You have not said anything to make me think you are whinning. Other people on the site have and if they were just concerned about the chickens at the chicken farms like you seem to be, they wouldn't be talking about KFC or anywhere else. I myself have no problems right now with the chicken farm.
About my parodies, are you just saying I do a good job when I can get them out or did you think they had something to do with this? because they didn't.

I haven't really been following this debate ... that seems to be going on about chickens seriously/ checked out any links. I enjoy KFC ....and I HAVE seen a documentary .... maybe some years ago in the UK .. about how chickens are often raised in appalling conditions, quite sick and cramped. I think the argument is ... that if they're soon to end up on the dinner plate ... we can try to give their VERY brief existence ... a bit of quality, as a sort of thank you, for feeding us, now your time is up ? Perhaps this is the nature of TRUE karma.
If it added a few cents to my KFC bill, wouldn't bother me a bit. However, to be honest, I haven't been losing any sleep over it, either. :-[

Casablanca in Morooco.
Is it safe there?
On May 16, 2003, 33 civilians were killed and more than 100 people were injured when Casablanca was hit by a multiple suicide bomb attack carried out by Moroccans and claimed by some to have been linked to al-Qaeda.
A string of suicide bombings struck the city in early 2007. A suspected militant blew himself up at a Casablanca internet cafe on March 11, 2007. On April 10, three suicide bombers blew themselves up during a police raid of their safe house. Two days later, police set up barricades around the city and detained two more men who had escaped the raid. On April 14, two brothers blew themselves up in downtown Casablanca, one near the American Consulate, and one a few blocks away near the American Language Center. Only one person was injured aside from the bombers, but the Consulate was closed for more than a month

Of course, but lots are ghost towns now.
Blitzen
Blitzen was one of the many settlements
that arose in the Catlow Valley in the
late 1800's. The town was named after
the Donner and Blitzen River which
flows nearby. (Donner and Blitzen is
German for Thunder and Lightning; the river
was named in 1864 by Captain George
Currey as he crossed the stream during
a raging thunderstorm.) Sources vary
as to the year in which the post office
at Blitzen was established. One record
lists the date as 1888, another 1915.
It is believed, however, that a man named
Stewart became the town's first
postmaster. Stewart opened a prosperous
general store that eventually fell into
the hands of Robert Bradeen. Several
residences, another store, a school,
a saloon, and some minor buildings were
constructed at Blitzen over the years.
Gradually the town's population
dwindled to zero; the post office was
closed in February of 1943. Many of
the original structures at Blitzen are
still standing, although all are in an
advanced state of deterioration.
Humbug,AZ
Humbug, along with nearby Columbia, came into existence during the early 1870's as placer gold was found in Humbug Creek. A mill was constructed and the town operated until the turn of the century. A caretaker resided at the mine for years and then production started again. The town thrived and the mine was extensively worked until the early 1930's. I had the opportunity to interview Warner Watkins, who had worked at Humbug in its later years. He told of what life was like when he he had to drive to Wickenburg every night to get milk for the town, or how the miners would walk to Crown King (about 20 miles uphill) every weekend to go to the saloon. Today many buildings remain and have

There was a Ice storm Friday & Sat in the northeast
Temperatures fell over the ice-coated Northeast on Saturday, where storm-related power failures had already plunged more than a million homes and businesses from Pennsylvania to Maine into the dark and cold.
Officials expected to see more people in shelters with temperatures forecast to dip. It was the third night without power for many.
Utilities in New Hampshire said it would likely be Thursday or Friday - a week after the storm - before all power is restored in the region, partly because of the sheer number of outages and partly because of the devastation.
"What is facing us is the apparent need to rebuild the entire infrastructure of some sections of the electrical delivery system," said Martin Murray, spokesman for Public Service Company of New Hampshire.
Crews across the region saw electric poles, wires and equipment destroyed. The extent of damage was unclear because some roads still were impassable.
"We'd put one line up, and it seemed like another would break," said Stan Tucker, operations supervisor in Springfield for Central Vermont Public Service Corp. "It seems like every line has multiple problems."
In New York, all but five roads managed by state highway officials had been cleared on Saturday.
About 1.4 million homes and businesses across the Northeast suffered power outages after a storm coated trees and wires with ice Thursday night into Friday. Most of the outages were in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine and New York. Somewhere around 800,000 appeared to remain without power Saturday evening, although some utilities weren't regularly updating their numbers or were reporting combined outages for multi-state territories.
Four states declared either limited or full states of emergency.
At its peak Friday, more than 430,000 customers were without power in New Hampshire, the worst power outage in state history. That was down to about 258,000 on Saturday night based on late updates
There still is a power outage near Albany, hopefully it will be fixed by the time we get there.

We could go to all of those and Rodeo Drive
Rodeo Drive is probably the single most famous, most prestigious shopping street on the planet, and it anchors a larger shopping district that is absolutely without compare.
As you saunter along Rodeo, you'll recognize the name of every single store...Prada, Gucci, Valentino, Armani, Versace, Dior, Cartier, Tiffany. Rodeo is a living theater of fashion and art and an endless parade of fascinating people from everywhere.
One block east, Beverly Drive exudes a little less formal air. Beverly is home to the flagship stores of national retailers including Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, Gap, Banana Republic, Williams Sonoma, as well as Beverly Hills institutions such as Gearys of Beverly Hills and XIV Karats.
On the next block east, you'll find Canon Drive, lined with smaller local boutiques...you'll also find Spago of Beverly Hills. Anchoring the southern border of the Golden Triangle is Department Store Row (Wilshire Blvd. from Roxbury to Rodeo). Along these four irresistible blocks live the titans of luxury retailing, Neiman-Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Barneys New York.
Fashionista epicentre - Beverly Hills is - where the pages of Vogue and Elle actually come to life. From the best-known names to the smallest, one-of-a-kind boutiques and designer vintage shops, the fashion offered in Beverly Hills is second to none and has established the city as a major market among high-style couturiers.
