It is certainly a curse. My wife and 3 daughters have just spent 2 weeks trying to rid themselves of this curse. We ended up getting some pretty strong stuff to put through their hair as those little buggers have become resistant to the stuff that worked last time! I suggested fire... but it was rejected!  Of course, I never get them ... as I have a number 1 clipper cut and they can't find any cover on my head.  ;D

To be fair we haven't had them for a long time.  In fact I think the last time was when I was pregnant with James and he's 9!  However my daughter has v long hair that tangles easily so this could be a painful session tonight.  I've bought some Hedrin which claims to only need one 15 minute treatment and it isn't an insecticide so they don't become resistant.  We shall see!

Apparently years ago the showroom was broken into and the computers were stolen.  This happened in a few showrooms so they decided not to replace them.  Also (shocking I know) people were using the Internet for non-work-related searches and things!

So the new system is like a company wide network where the showrooms have computers that just act as terminals to the main national system (or something)

I eat at my console and sometimes I don't get to eat because I'm working with a butthead who refuses to get me food even tho I didn't bring any with me.....what I'm saying is the time I spend online at work are the closest things to a break I get.

Probably not a good idea, then. ;D

We have to be compliant to a set of PCI rules.  Not sure what it stands for but it is basically heavy security.  But, good.  If some of the numbers get stolen and used for identity fraud, and it was traced back to our company we would be fined $10,000 per instance.  We are a small company and that would knock us out for good.

I'm torn between fudging this restaurant as a whole or not.

It was kind of a comedy of errors...

We went to this little place called "Little Asia" on the way back from a doctor's appointment.  They seated us in the courtyard/skylight area of the restaurant.  It was nice.  The waitress was nice, although I think her capability of understanding English wasn't quite up to par.  Everything I ordered, I had to point it out on the menu (it also had oriental writing next to the English word).  She's sweet and smiles alot then puts our order in with the kitchen.  After our order is placed, a group of college kids come in and sit at the table behind us (I could see them, but my hubby's back was towards them.)  About 40 minutes go by, our waitress is cleaning tables and rolling silverware into napkins (normal stuff to do in between customers.)  10 more minutes go by, no food, no refill of drinks.  A different waitress goes up to the table of college students and I notice it's everything WE ordered.  She put all the food in front of the kids and they kind of blankly look at her.  The two kids start eating the crab rangoon... The second waitress walks by our table, and I kind of saying something like, "I think our food was delivered to their table by mistake"  She looks shocked and goes back to the college kids and asks "Did you order any of this?  Is this what you ordered?"  And the kids all shake their heads and say no.  She picks up the food from in front of them and brings it to us.  I'm a little queasy because how do I know if they've eaten it or not?  I know they ate the crab rangoon...  8-P  So, we'd been waiting so long and had to do other things that day, so I just bit the bullet and ate what they took off the kids' table.  It tasted good and I was hungry.  Then a third waitress brought out a second order of crab rangoon and put it in front of the college kids table and I sort of waved at her and said "I think those are ours."
I didn't raise a fuss at anyone, mistakes happen, and college kids will try to get free food when they can.  It was really a comedy of errors.  It was just a little off-putting.  Food was great though, so I shouldn't complain.

Fudge the compulsion to hoard.  I consider myself a fairly logical and practical woman, and yet I have this house that looks like a junior version of an episode of Hoarders.  I am going to my family reunion today in a few hours and to help fund the next year's festivities, each attendees has to bring a covered dish AND one or two small wrapped items (with only a clue as to who it would be appropriate for - i. e. small child, space alien, beloved pet (whatever)) and then each item is auctioned off in a "white elephant sale".  I found a good deal at a local hobby store.  Two Webkinz (stuffed animals that you register online to take care of them, kinda like a Tamaguchi (I guess).)  Buy one, get one free, so they cost $3.50 each.  Fine that part of my obligation is done, now on to what the heck can I cook that A.) is easy to cook and B.) is easy to transport in a drive that is about two hours away.  I might just buy something at a deli once I get down there.
Tonight I go to wrap these Webkinz up.  I want to keep them.  They are really cute and are both exactly like my real cats.  One is white and the other is black.  Now, realistically I KNOW I don't need them.  I'm almost 42, I DO NOT NEED STUFFED ANIMALS.  But they are cute.  If I keep them, then I have nothing for the auction.  I realize this, just telling my rational brain that the only logical choice to is stop buying stuff and get rid of stuff (even if it means to throw it away.)  Doesn't make it any easier to get rid of these stuffed animals.  :\'(  I am a sick woman.  :-[

You are not sick patty. If you were you would've bought them and ten others to hide away. The solution is simple. Take them to the auction and bud on them yourself. Okay that is crazy. I say keep them and find two other items to give. There's nothing wrong with buying toys just like your pets. Hellihave a crap load of toys and animals and stuff and there's nothing wrong with me. Although, I'm going to this thing today where Maxwell caulfield is going to be. I know I have a grease 2 8x10 of him on a motorcycle but I can't find it.  I ve had it since I was in high school it's in a photo album. I can find a crap load of my other 8x10s and the TWO Tom Cruise photo albums I made in high school but I can't find the one I made of my favorite stuff. I can see it clearly. It had flashdance pics, grease 2, and other movies/celebs I admired at the time. What the hell did I do with that damn thing? I m the one in need of an intervention  ;)

I tend to hoard... and then one day (when I'm in a bit of a depression) I just throw almost everything away. This is why I only have a couple of knick knacks from my youth.  I usually regret some of it though!  :-\\  e.g. birthday cards I kept from since I was 4 years old ... threw 'em out! ...Phantom comic collection....gave it away! (hundreds of comics worth $5 dollars each at that time) ... old letters etc...I have none of this stuff. Photos? ... I have a total of 6 from before I was married!

ebay has actually killed my business. I used to collect toys and could make hundreds of dollars per item but once ebay came along the stuff became more accessible and therefore my collection devalued significantly

No I can't!!! Food should not be mixed til it hits your stomach.

I'm a compartmentalized eater Howard there are only a few foods I'll combine.    when it comes to eating I have a bit of OCD. I generally eat my least favorite item to my most favorite but with breakfast I eat the same way each time-  bacon first (it's the only exception to my eating my fav item last.  That's because I love bacon but I hate bad bacon. If I eat the bacon first I delimitate the risk of it being "bad" bacon. I think there's a Murphy's law that reads not all bacon is good but all bacon will instantly become  bad bacon if you anticipate it being good and save it for last.  ;D. Then I eat the hash browns. Then I dip my toast in my yolk. Then I take the left over toast and egg carcass and make a fried egg sandwich.  Toast and egg are the foods I'll combine at breakfast except for the one breakfast burrito I will eat and then I only put potatos and egg on that particular burrito.
