This is that coding letters and numbers to be sent in posting an e mail.

I'm not quite sure I understand. Anytime this comes up I say that I want to ask Chucky about it, either on his Ask thread or in a PM. We already asked him about XML Feeds with no trouble, and he explained that (I think it was in 2006).

An "80s repeating bird toy"?

Now that might be something I'd be familiar with...except I didn't discover a toy like that until later than that. I just posted a reply in that thread too, suggesting it might be the "Talking Toucan". I saw it at a store in the mall sometime in the mid-90's. It seriously did repeat anything that a person uttered.

Of course. He is a classic advertising icon.

But still, I remember coming across the Talking Toucan one day while I was browsing around in a store in the mall one time in the mid-90's. That store, JohnT's, had all kinds of cool merchandise, including puzzles and games (but I never bought anything from there; I just liked to look around). I came across the Talking Toucan, and was amazed to hear it repeat things that a person said...in the same voice every time, regardless of who talked!

The Youtube clips up above provide examples of how the toy works. As does this one. :D

I remember a few from the early 1990's or thereabouts. It was then when they introduced the lime green flavor. Then the blue and purple flavors were added to the mix.

yeah... my family often buys canned veggies to have on hand for times when we don't feel like cooking the fresh ones in our crisper. As for canned soups...we've often purchased Healthy Choice soups in the cans...and sometimes Progresso.

I think some of the Smith's stores that closed out here became Food 4 Less...now that I think about it I believe I saw another one on the east side of town one time.

I still see a lot of empty big box stores that used to be Albertson's, Smith's or Vons.  :(  On the south side of town, this store that used to be Albertson's is now an Asian supermarket.  I drove past it a few times, but I haven't been inside yet.

We still have Albertsons and Vons supermarkets in California. In fact, we often go there to shop for our groceries. There's also Ralphs, but we don't go there very often.

What gets me is that there have been several supermarket chains buying others out over the years, thus making fewer and fewer places to shop. Just like the banks.

Wayne Manor (Batman residence)

In DC Comics, Wayne Manor is the personal residence of Bruce Wayne, who is also Batman.

The residence is typically depicted as a huge stately mansion on grounds outside Gotham City that the one servant, Alfred Pennyworth, somehow manages to keep in good condition. The manor has belonged to the Wayne family for several generations.

The exterior shots for the fictional Wayne Manor were filmed at a real mansion located at 380 S. San Rafael Avenue in Pasadena, California.
