Our next-door neighbor's 19-year-old son has wrecked two cars in as many years, and believe it or not his parents just bought him his third car...

That's what happened to Linz, the first one was her fault but the second wasn't, within a 9 month period, 2 cars gone. They hang on for 3 years, so in Feb. 2009, maybe the rates will go down.

I got a letter from our electricity suplier to say we were £182 in credit and they would keep that in our account 'towards future payments'! They are meant to refund you when they have over £100 of your money.  >:(  So I have to wait until next week to demand my money back and also ask them about lowering our monthly payment as we are obviously paying too much!

I got my absentee voting ballot.  It was the best solution for me, as since I'm moving in a couple weeks and you have to have been a resident of the state I'm moving to for a full month in order to be able to vote (and I won't be), I decided to vote before I actually moved (slightly ahead of schedule).  Having said that, I'm STILL not sure who I want to vote for.  I see things I agree with for both candidates and things I strongly disagree for both candidates.  I feel I SHOULD vote if for nothing else then because of the women (suffragettes) of the past that have fought hard for me to be allowed to vote.  I'm going to have to really sit down and look at issues and see who is the lesser of two evils.  lol  Not that I feel THAT strongly about either being evil per se.  They both have to make a living as best as they can, and I feel that both will say what they think people want to hear, in order to get votes, then do whatever the hell they wanna do after elected.

Also got in the mail something from 1-800-Diabetes (which I never called) so I'm on somebody's list somewhere.  lol  It's slightly amusing that they use that logo, as I can't imagine anyone calling up and saying "Yeah, I'd like to order that nice looking chronic disease I saw in the catalog on page 8!"  Yeah I'm in a funky mood tonight.  :D ;D  I have not opened the box yet to see what they sent me.  Feel like it may be symbolic of Pandora's box.  ;)

We got a letter from the town office that the listers needs to come and appraise our house. This will be for tax purposes. While I don't mind having the house appraise, I do mind the fact that they have to come in and look in rooms that I really don't want them to look in because...well...let's just say that they are not the cleanest.  :-[
