Yeah, I, too have had experience with cliques, so I get where you're coming from. Especially since I changed neighborhoods and schools alot when I was younger, I was often the new guy among the established cliques. And that can be a sorta weird/unsettling feeling. Even nowadays, I sometimes don't look forward to going into new environments for this reason.

With me, it was never really a feeling of being left out or disliked per se, but merely "less accepted" if you know what I mean. They were cool with me and stuff, but like if we all were hanging out at lunch, I wouldn't get talked to as often as they would with each other, or wouldn't get invited to hang out with them as much as they themselved did with each other. Out of resentment of this, I used to try really hard to fit in with certain groups to be one of them, which in retrospect, probably made it even worse.

Nowadays I'm like "meh whatever" and don't care as much if I find myself in a situation like that.

I've come to accept the fact that some people are just comfortable with their own crowd. Whereas someone like me is kinda the type that likes and can get along with everyone, so it's just two different types of mindset. I don't think the cliquies are purposefully trying to be mean or shut anybody out, they probably don't even think about it. Although when you're on the other side of it, it can be a bummer.

There are probably dozens of people at your school who feel the same way.  Try talking to them instead of focusing on the cliques.  I speak from a lifetime of experience as an outsider.  ;)

Well I say if somebody doesn;t like me than oh well! Not everybody is going to like you or accept you and thats just the way it is.  I understand being in High School is a tough thing and trying to fit in. I was never in a clique until my junior year of gigh school but being in that clique but it just didn;t work out. I however did find a group of people that did wan to spend time with me in my senior year of high school. You look back on stuff such as cliques in High School years after after you are out of High School and the things that mattered in High School seemed so silly as you look back on them.

There's one in particular that seems to come around every day, regardless of what time of year it is. Not only is the melody it plays annoying, but the truck itself is in run-down condition (actually, it's more like a van, but still), like most independent companies that sell ice cream. :P

I hear where you are coming from Girl. EVen at 15.8 they are still asking "Why?" and "How come?" and saying ".. but ... but ... but..." or "I don't know, not me, I forgot" !! Enough already! I whole heartedly agree...the one that I talked about in my post from a couple days ago, I even mentioned that it looked like it was in run-down condition, with a very unpleasant appearance.
