Funny story about doing dishes: When I was living on campus while I was in school my sophomore year, I had the most slovenly roommates EVER.  The dorms at Georgia State are like apartments; there's a full kitchen, living room, and everyone has their own bedrooms and you share a bathroom with one other person.  Well, when I came back from semester break, the kitchen was filthy and the dishes were stacked up in the sink. They hadn't been cleaned for 3 weeks.  So my mom and I threw every single plate, dish, cup, and utensil in a garbage bag and put it in the garbage can.  I left a note saying that if they wanted their sh*t back, they better go into the bag, take it out and clean it themselves. 

From that day on, I never had to clean another dish that wasn't mine.

I hate being without a car  :\'(

I'm all for putting cat turds in candy wrappers... and maybe a razor blade in an apple.. but just one, more would be mean.

When I was a kid, I loved it.  I got to dress up, get free candy and run around and be silly.  However, I'm 24 now and my sister is 18.  We're too old to put on costumes and walk around our subdivision asking for free food.  And what's worse; I get door-duty.  Which means I have to sit on my stairs all night with a bowl of candy waiting for these little monsters to come to the front door, scaring the sh*t out of my dog.  It is not a fun day for me anymore.  Back when we lived in Chicago, we'd turn all the lights off and shut the blinds so no one thought we were home and therefore, wouldn't ring the doorbell. 

My sister and I's grammar school would have a Halloween Party where you'd come dressed up in your costume, they'd hand out huge bags of candy, there'd be costume contests.....stuff like that.  Growing up, I never once walked around my neighborhood at night asking people I didn't know for stuff.  It's too dangerous.

sorta, although they also come off looking pretty ignorant and unlikeable, in a way that the show's creators seem to be doing deliberately. that seems to be the tendency in reality t.v., that there really is NO ONE who's likeable.

well, i take it back. the family who "adopts" paris and what'sherface seem pretty sympathetic, they're honestly trying to do the right thing and getting hosed down at every turn. i only saw a few episodes and thought they were funny -- maybe i just liked the company -- but i get the feeling i'd get tired of it too if i watched a bunch of em.
