Could be a bad cookie or maybe one of those buggers put in a registry key. Do you have AdAware and/or Spybot? Those programs are good at finding that stuff.

Oh, I'm sick of SBC's crappy phone service. I was at my bro's place taking care of his doggies while he was in PA and there is so much noise on the line that I couldn't even log on to the internet or do anything if I actually got a connection. That, IMO, should be illegal since it's a utility that you pay good money for, especially since you may need it for emergencies.

My uncle has taught me the best thing is anytime something is messed up, clean it then.  That way you don't have to go through the whole house at once, and cleaning never becomes too big of a job.

That's great advice actually.  That's what I'm working towards.  But you have to have a clean house at some point to start that process.  It just ain't happenin'.  (but thanks for the suggestion.  Really.) :)

Yeah thats true, it will still end up where from time to time you have to do a big cleaning.

I know how you feel. I clean all week and the house looks pretty good by Friday...then the weekend comes, and everybody messes it up again. It's an endless job! :-\\
You mean it actually MAKES it to Friday?  I clean one room and by the end of the day it's a mess.  That's why I don't really worry about it anymore.  As long as there are no dirty dishes sitting around, I'm happy :D  I don't understand how people with small kids that are home all day can actually keep a spotless house ???  They must spend all of their time cleaning, which doesn't leave much for the kids or themselves :-\\

oh believe me...my house is far from spotless!! ;)  It is actually really cluttered. I need to take one room at a time and get rid of stuff and organize the rest.  Now, I am not saying that it is totally spotless come Friday...but for the most part (after picking up each night)...it is clean (sweeper ran, most of the laundry done, dusting, mopped floors, etc)...just in time for me to start the whole process once again! ;) :D

I used to have a neighbor who would mop her floor and wipe down ALL appliances inside and out EVERY NIGHT, vacuum/dust 3X a week (at least), NEVER had full laundry hampers, cleaned her windows (inside and out) once every 2 weeks, NEVER had mail sitting around, shoes put away, coats hung in the closet, etc. :o  I swear, you couldn't tell she had kids....even the inside of her car was spotless :o

see that's how my grandma is. She's a NEAT freak...and when my dad and my aunt were little, she would put them in a playpen (nearly all day), just so that she could get all of her housework done. I don't know how many times I have heard her say how much she regrets doing that, and not interacting with her children more often. She was married to a very strict man though (my grandpap whom I never met, he passed away when my dad was only 16, and my grandma ended up remarrying), who expected everything to be JUST SO.  I have seen her even get on her hands and knees to straighten out the frays in throw rugs!! :o YIKES!

Lucky for me my little guy LOVES to help me clean.  Whenever I'm cleaning, he wants his own rag or broom (he actually uses the Swiffer) and cleans right along side me.  It's pretty darned cute :)

I'm SO SICK of "superior" people.  I was at the store today with my little one and he has a little cold.  He started coughing into his sleeve (which I've taught him) and a lady next to me makes a comment about it.  I looked at her (okay, more like GLARED) and she says "That's just not sanitary".  So, I replied "Oh, would you rather he coughed into his hand, got germs all over it, then put his hands all over the merchandise you're about to buy or cough into his sleeve so there ARE no germs on his hands when he touches the stuff you're about to buy?"  She just had this dumbfounded look on her face.  I said "Just think about it" and walked away. ;D

Yesterday, I listened to Chris Moyles breakfast show... he opened up with Primal Scream's 'Country Girl', and in the 3 hours they played Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy', The Kooks' 'Naive', Snow Patrol 'You're All I Have' and Keane's 'Is It Any Wonder'

Then at 10 I caught the opening few minutes of Jo Whiley's show, and I couldn't believe it... she opened with Primal Scream's 'Country Girl'!

Then in Art we listened to radio one and in 30 minutes they played Snow Patrol and The Kooks again!

Seriously, they're good songs and everything, but playing them at least twice a day is just ridiculous...

But I also like some of the DJs. I enjoy the Chris Moyles Breakfast show, you get a few laughs from it. And Colin and Edith have a good chemistry. But Jo Whiley is just plain boring, and I don't find Scott Mills paticularly entertaining, so

I guess it's all a matter of opinion

Moyles actually isn't that bad. Although, a couple of weeks back he had Halle Berry and someone else in as guests, and after the interview he spent 15 minutes slagging her off for being snotty and not taking an interest in the interview. That's one thing I don't like about Moyles that much... when he has a point to prove, he spends half an hour going on about it. He likes referring to himself as "The Saviour" a lot as well

True  ;D

Saying that, the BBC do owe him big time. The ratings before he came along were absolutely dire.

On Monday morning, he didn't even bother turning up for his show, and JK and Joel (Tweedledum and Tweedledummer) had to carry on for him, meaning they had been on air 7 hours. Still, at least we got to hear more than 4 songs in an hour  ;D

Moyles phoned up in the last 20 minutes of the show sounding wrecked, (he's a Leeds fan and had been in Cardiff the previous night). This morning though, the BBC were trying to cover it all up by saying it was "all a stunt to entertain his listeners". Pffft  ::)

Eating the same meals over and over again...I need new recipes and kids who are willing to eat things besides mac&cheese and chicken!  LOL!!

What are you eating now, and what's popular at home?

At the moment, I'd suggest:

1) Make Mac&Cheese, but do it with real cheese.  Any kind of mozzarella will do.  Use a 50/50 mix of shredded mozzarella and parmigiano reggiano - not that "Parmesan Cheese" stuff that comes in a can.  Pay $8-15/lb for the kind that comes in a little wedge and calls itself "parmigiano reggiano", and $4-8/lb for the kind that comes in a little wedge called "parmesan cheese".  Get one of each, and try both.  You will be able to taste the difference - but choose whichever you prefer and/or can afford.  But avoid the powdery stuff in a can.  The powdery stuff in the can is not parmsean, nor is it cheese.  Just trust me on this.

Grate the cheese yourself (takes a minute or two at most, and is easily done while waiting for the pasta to cook), drain the pasta, throw in a teaspoon of olive oil, and you will have mac-and-cheese that God himself will come down from  Heaven to eat.  Probably won't even need to add milk or water -- but a splash of milk won't hurt.

2) Chicken?  Lovely stuff.  Too versatile to even make a suggestion.  Just randomly google "chicken recipe" and see what strikes your fancy.  At $1.50/lb for a whole chicken, it's the cheapest and most versatile protein source on the planet.

And when they do turn, I want to scream because they could've used their lazy finger to acknowledge it for the rest of us.

The only time I'll refrain from using my blinker is when I know not a single absolute soul is behind me.

I'm sick of being the neighborhood babysitter and feeding all these rugrats.  If my kid plays at someones house I send something with her, chips, candy or juice boxes.  I just bought a box of juice pouches for school...they're all gone as well as one bag of chips.  Not to mention they leave without picking up one darn thing.  >:(

That's a very good question.  Why is that??

I'm sick of asking my coworkers to do something and having them ignore me.

Can I vent?  I'm in charge of customer service and so I made a request.  If I answer a phone, and the customer takes five minutes to explain their question....and I put the customer on hold and I tell the appropriate person "this customer needs X ...."  That person should then get on the phone with the customer and say, "Connie tells me you have a question about player pianos" or "This is Andrew.  I can help you order the bench you need."  But instead they get on the phone and say, "Hello.  How may I help you?"  So then the customer has to explain the whole story AGAIN and our whole initial conversation was a complete waste of time.  Is this process so difficult to understand??

grrrrrrrrr

I'm sick of using $20 bills to buy little things in 7-11 or something.  It's bad enough the ATMs only spit out 20s...but even at the drive-through at the bank they gave me 20s....even when I asked for smaller bills.  Then I go to buy a candy bar and I have to hand the guy a 20.  I'm grouchy about it. My neighbor plays her music at a certian volume where you can hear it muffled through the wall- she finally stopped playing it at 12:34- AT NIGHT!!

My old neighbors had a big screen TV in their rec room and they had it loud enough at one point where I could hear a Trident gum commercial through the wall

I HATE THIS!

I have a big thing about breaking notes and as I usually take the maximum amount out of the ATM (to avoid accruing more fee's) I often end up with $50's. I abhor breaking a $50 for something trivial like a sandwhich or a soda.
