I have no objection with Robbo's thoughts on Michael Jackson, and the fact that he supports him. It's the fact that Robbo seems to think that his ideology is correct and everyone who disagrees is... wrong. End of story.
And "King of Ladies"? <-- HA!!!

That's great that you have someone to do all that for ya... then, of course, you'll probably be unpacking for a while. We've been in our new house for 4 years and there's still some boxes that we have yet to unpack...as well as some reorganization in the office and in the garage to do. I'm sure we'll get it done at some point.

We moved here nearly 5 years ago and there are still some boxes to unpack. Mainly they contain curtains and things like that from the previous house that are too nice to throw out but don't actually fit the windows here! Not quite sure what to do with them really.

You should unpack them one day. You might get a pleasant surprise. We unpacked one of the boxes we had put in the garage to store and found a fleece blanket we thought we had lost. Still not quite sure why it was packed away there!

My WONDERUL step-daughter game me a Mother's Day card. It is only the second one I have ever gotten in my life (the first was from my cats-no joke. My mother was taking care of my cats when I was in Greece and she sent me a card with their names on it. ;D )
She was wonderful this week-she help me so much-not just with getting the place in order but also in dealing with my mother. I tell everyone that my step-daughter and myself are kindered spirits. I am just so lucky to have her in my life.

No real life good news (everything's pretty 'meh' at the mo), but on the management game i'm currently playing, Championship Manger 4, i'm manager of Liverpool, and we've won the prem last season, won a lot of trophies, and more impressively gone 42 games unbeaten! We just won Arsenal 4-1 away as well!

Ran away with it eh. They'll surivve next year. I reckon about 14th in the Prem, Sunderland have a good quality side and as long as they can get some money in they should do well.. i think they could be another Boltonesque team.

Yeh, I had my doubts as to whether or not they'd stay up, but there's a huge buzz around the club now. McCarthy's already been training them for the prem (notice the along-the-floor passes?), so I reckon they might just stay up. If they do, then chances are they'll improve further and in a couple of seasons time, who knows? They may even break into the top 10! Just stay positive!  :)

LOL along the floor passes. In McCarthy they have a manager with the experience needed and like i say, they may not have any big name charlie potatoes but they do have quality, grit and backbone. Anyway, Newcastle v Sunderland.. phwoar!
City managed to survive for Craig Levien released Lillian Nalis, Ian Walker, Keith Gillespee, Nikos Dabizas, Nathan Blake and Scott Gemill yesterday.. I'm sorry Craig, why did you get rid of the backbone of the team.
My prediction for next year..

LOL
It's never quite THAT bad, but there have been a few odd occurances during the matches, such as a couple of seasons ago there was a stripper ran onto the pitch (?), once when we beat Newcastle in a derby, the daft geordies went and smashed up their own town centre (?!), and there have been numerous rows and fights in the stadiums and in the city centres. Truth is, Mackems and Geordies despise each other, but the geordies tend to be a lot more full of themselves. I reckon we'll beat them at least once this season (probs the home match), but once will do fine for me!

I've not mentioned shyness, lol. However, I do hear the sound of pennies dropping. No worries, I get like that sometimes. ;)
Yes, so that's basically it. You show her you can do your own thing, she will have to make more of an effort - you are going to have to trust yourself here. Give her a little attention to be satisfied with because you don't want her to lose interest in you. :)

Long walk, and I'm tired. My dad's going out for the night, so I have more time to myself.
A bit hazy on how she felt today... she talked to me, but she seemed distracted... we were holding a group conversation, though...

I hate all the Napoleon Dynamite crap... "Tots" are not that funny, and Pedro isn't being elected for sheeshe. So stfu n00b.
I also can't stand how they keep cuddly and goth combined... you can't bloody own CareBears and listen to Slipknot. Unless, of course, you suck.
Well, I guess that explains why. ;D

Number one.....Nowhere in that movie did anyone say "I love Tator tots" NOWHERE.
Number two....half the trendoids that sport that crap wouldn't be caught DEAD with a person like Napoleon Dynamite in real life....so don't start pretending that you would now.
Number three....If I hear a lame misquoted line from that movie ONE MORE TIME...I am going to consider a killing spree.

We finally found out the date of my daughters graduation from her Medical Assisting classes. She's externing (I know, I thought it was interning but they call it externing) in a Doctors office now and she graduates July 15. Hopefully she'll get hired on at the Doctor office since she really likes it there. Now I get to plan a kick @-ss graduation party for her! I'm so happy that she finally found something that she loves to do! :)

Well, I've been in college for 7 years, and i'm in the process of possibly changing my major from Comp Sci to Math; right now I'm still in the "undecided" mode. I initially majored in comp sci because I enjoyed my programming classes, but the Cmputer Science major requires a lot of classes that are unrelated to programming, and I'd had a heck of a time with some of those classes. So I don't think I'll be able to finish a degree in that major. However, the math major contains a physics class which I seem to be struggiling with at the moment, and I really want to get a good grade in that class. I'm sure I'll find something. :-[ :-\\

Highlight of my year so far:
There's this woman at the place I work who, when she has a problem with something I say or do, instead of just telling me she sits me and the manageress (who's uber-cool) in the back office and basically she rips me to shreds. This has been happening for months. Usually i'd get all upset about it and end up being depressed, but not tonight. tonight was different.
I worked with her last Sunday night, and predictably, she decided she would take me and the manageress into the office for another conference tonight. Her opening line: "Do you have a problem with working with me?" (expecting me to just say no and not argue or defend myself), me: "sometimes, yes". At this point, the woman's face dropped and she went slightly red in the cheeks because i'd caught the stupid bitch off guard. From then on, instead of her making all these stabs at me telling me what i'd done wrong, I was questioning all her statements, defending and explaining my own actions and basically just putting forward a much stronger argument, whilst she stuttered and mumbled and changed the subject when I asked her why she had done and said certain things to me that had upset me. She left work in a mood, and i'm really proud of myself because i've shown her that she can't always win, and from now on, I demand equal respect from her.
My manageress said she was really pleased I had defended myself, and I feel a lot more confident about approaching these situations.
I know it may not seem like much to you, but this has just made my day :)

Thanx Bobby. My manageress says her problem with me may be because:
She doesn'e like younger people, people who are newer than her or men - i am all three
Jealousy. She may simply be jealous because I am all those three things mentioned, yet I am outperforming her
She did mention during the discussion that she feels i'm trying too hard to impress, but when I asked her who I was supposedly trying to impress, she waffled on about something else and changed the subject. She did that a couple of times when I asked her what she meant

That figures, mate. I worked in a store full of women (shudder ;D). I was the only bloke working there and, despite not being a practice to sexually discriminate against, I'm sure it does under the guise of something else.
Questioning people is always a great way to make people answerable to their own ignorant ideas. :)

I know I haven't posted in a while, but oh well. During this track season I was able to get the freshman record for my school in the 1 mile and 2 mile. My time for the 1 mile was a 4:44 and my time for the 2 mile was a 10:12. I was able to go to Conference which is where about thirty-five or so schools from my district compete. For the 2 mile I am now the number 1 ranked freshman in the district and ranked 20th overall in the district. For the 1 mile I am the 2nd ranked freshman in the district and 22nd overall. But sadly track ended today.

that was the only thing that helped me to lose some weight...
I would love to get back to it again...but I have to take care of some minor medical problems before I can start running again.

I think Layne Staley was one of the greatest rock singers of the last 20 years and am still saddened by his untimely death. I've never understood why so many extrordinarily talented individuals place such little value on themselves. :(

I found out today that Lindsay has been accepted into Sam Houston State University. WOO HOO!!! :) :)
And my uncle called me and told me he has a job lined up for me over the summer. Its a 60-day apprentice program with a web design company, where I'll learn business skills, office management, and web designing. It's a customer of my uncle's(who is a paint contractor) I met one time who really thought a lot of me. Its a great oppurtunity. Plus my uncle said he will pay me 40 or 50 dollars a week to help him out with various things, like passing out fliers.
Also, Sunday I met with my friend Keith, and accompanied him to his dance studio(he is a ballet dancer). Well the lady running the place told me she is considering letting me play the role of the King in this ballet they will be performing here soon(its called Saharazod or something like that). Its about two brothers in ancient Arabia who feud over a princess or something like that. If I were to be in the role of King I just sit there a couple of scenes, and at the end I dance with the Queen but its a slow dance, not a ballet dance. Pretty cool, huh? The guy who is supposed to be playing the King hasn't been showing up to rehearsal, so shes thinking about giving him the axe. If she does, she'll call me. I hope I get to do it.
:) Man, like is looking up.

The job interview at CVS went excellent.I sat down, shown her my old resume and an updated one and she said it was very impressive, you've got a very nice resume.I told her what I do during the week is that I attend a program 2 1/2 days a week and I volunteer Thursdays & Fridays at a hospital doing in-patient filing 4 hours a day 9am-1pm in the hematology/oncology unit.I let her know my selling points and even that was a good start but anyway, she told me that they need stockboys, cashiers and some light porter maintainence during the morning afternoon and evening shifts(after 9:30pm when the store closes).I also let her know that I'm very flexible and you can always count on me for excellent attendance cause I live right around the corner. But anyway I told the employer let me talk and think it over and I'll get back to you after the Memorial Day holiday in June. This is something I've been waiting for and it's been 11 years and I'm ready to work and to get my life back together. :)

No Rob. You see, when I went to work at the station, it was Sherry who helped make that happen. I was there a couple weeks when the program director ASKED me for any suggestions that I might have to help with the station. Well, they promo thier station by saying "Colorado's only REAL Classic Rock....I tols him that since they aren't the ONLY Classic Rock Station in Colorado...much less in Colorado Springs. I suggested "Colorado Springs Original Classic Rock Station"....anyway, he gave me a short reply and left. Then I heard from Jennifer, the younger girl that is in the pictures with me, that he was irritated with me and suddenly SHERRY had even more work he piled upon her...so, against Sherry's wishes...I quit. Jennifer told me things are back to normal for Sherry and the guy isn't demanding so much from her. It was hard to do because Sherry and I had grown very close...but also because of that I just felt it was the right thing to do :-\\

It was hard to do because Sherry and I had grown very close...but also because of that I just felt it was the right thing to do :-\\
Gosh! So one suggestion turned him against you? That's pretty harsh - especially when you stated your reasons for your suggestion. I guess what you should have done was ask him what he thought before you offered your suggestion. Bosses quite often just want validation. ::)
I am so sorry to hear this as I know how much you liked your job. :-\\

I have two weeks study leave after half term (which means in total I have 3 weeks off), but during study leave I have only 2 exams, so it means I have 2 weeks to sit and do nothing! Life is good, friends! 8)

She almost stopped by my house. This would be great news, but my mom was here, and that stopped her. Figures.

It was a planned meeting to deal with some finances left over from our relationship. Let's just say the idea of us being friends is still out of the question. She said 'I can now ride off into the sunset' - charming that. ::)
