It turned out to be a beautiful day in my neighborhood. :)
Mr. Rogers ;D
It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
It's a neighborly day in this beautywood,
A neighborly day for a beauty,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.
So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?
Won't you please,
Won't you please,
Please won't you be my neighbor?

Everything is cool between me and Mary. Just fine. We talked today in class like normal, and I'd say she even seemed to be friendlier than usual. Makes me feel much better. :)

NERD NOTICE:
!!!
SASHS has unofficially placed third in the Pennsylvania Math League competition, below Cedar Cliff and (who else?) Cumberland Valley!
C.NOIZE ends the Math League season with a total of 19 points, placing him within the top ten!!
NERD NOTICE UPDATE:
SASHS is not third in Pennsylvania Math League, as I had stated before. We're actually around 60th. :( We are third in the county, though. (This is all still unofficial.)
Also, I have successfully attained fourth place in our school's PAML competition! (This is official.)  :)

I scored twice which is a change..
Usually i play just in front of the defence so don't really attack all that much, however today i played just behind the two strikers and had an excellent game.

There was a duck that laid an egg in my front yard yesterday. My daughter and two of her friends saw it and went to check it out. They scared her off and I was afraid she wouldn't come back. Since Mr. Staver said that if someone beat him in badminton in gym class he'd give them an A for the rest of the year, I'm going to ask him if he'll do that if someone breaks five minutes on the mile. That would mean no more volunteering for those dang questions.

Not a bad idea. You'd be the one to do it. It probably isn't necessary, though, 'cause I don't think he's worried as much about the volunteering now that we're in the reproductive unit. If you keep quiet he'll just assume that it makes you uncomfortable and not think too much of it. But then, I almost never volunteer and still get A's.

That's because you get 146% on everything. Although, the girls next to never volunteer in class and they still get A's, and with Justin sitting right in front of me maybe all his volunteering will make up for mine.

I LIKE volunteering on this unit... but I really wanted a reason to yell either "CERVIX!" or "ORGASM!" before it ended... still time.
Anyway, making a rare post here:
Things are looking up for me. In time, I might even get what I've wanted more then anything for a while now. Might, but I'm hopeful.

I had another track meet yesterday. I tied my best time for the mile with a 4:50 and got my best time for the 2 mile with a 10:41. I got second in both events, but our team lost.

Today I gave my very good friend Lindsay a copy of "Tortilla Flat" by John Steinbeck that I bought her, along with a bookmark with a quote on it "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll land among the stars" or something along those lines, and I gave her a card I bought at Hallmark with a cute little poem about being there for people and making them happy and how its good to know a special person like them. Basically a thank you card, like "thanks for being my friend and being there for me".
We both enjoyed reading "Of Mice and Men" together and I figured that she would like Tortilla Flat(I haven't had the chance to read it yet myself). Plus she is going tommorrow afternoon to get her wisdom teeth removed. She will be laid up in bed for a few days and I thought she might like some reading material. We sat next to eachother and talked all period 6th period. About various things, likes and dislikes, what we did this weekend, hopes for the future, you know, that old chestnut. She at first seemed tired and bummed out this morning, but she seemed really happy when she was talking to me.
It will be one year Thursday since her mother passed away, and I know she is going to have a tough week. Plus she will be feeling crappy because of the oral surgey and subsequent pain meds. Shes going to have a rough week. I sincerely hope that my kindness makes things a little easier for her.

I know I'm a moron for not realizing this earlier. We have been friends all year, and she always treats me loads better than anyone else, she always talks to me, we get along great, I actually like talking to her, we even smile the same(said Aaren after viewing a couple of pics Lindsay and me took together), there are a million reasons why would be a good couple..
But I am afraid of messing things up, and losing a really good friendship. Its a tough pickle. I don't know. Maybe its too late. I've wasted the past 3 months drooling over Mary when there was a great person who cared about me right there.
If I don't get to be her boyfriend it is what I deserve.

^Yes, something like that.. ;D
I'm taking it slowly.
Although she did puzzle me a bit today.
During our conversation she asked me "Has Mrs.(our school counselor, can't divulge her last name) told you anything? You seem to know a lot of things you wouldn't know any other way" and I was caught off guard..I had no clue what she meant..i asked her "um, what do you mean? like, about you or something?" and she said yes and I said "well Lindsay, I only know what you tell me". And she was like "oh ok" and brushed it off rather casually. Strange..
I don't know if I should be worried or not.

Perhaps you have a good memory for details that people tell you. Therefore you might have mentioned something that Lindsay said to you ages ago that she had forgotten she had told you about. (Something reasonably personal, say like about her mum dying or whatever).

AFA good news for me....I got perfect scores on 2 of my papers...I've pretty got an A in the bag unless I ROYALLY screw up the test (which is take-home so that's not really likely ;))....I can get a low D and still end up with an A :)
Fabulous!!!!
That's the right way to do it.. When i did my GCSE's in 4 subjects i had to get an A on the exam to pass the subject. A+ in History, A in English Lit, A in English lanuage & A in Geography ;D ;D
But that's excellent news, so your this . . close to being done then..

I've been smoking regularly since 1990 and about 3 or 4 years ago I quit for about 8 months. Then I gradually started back up again. This is my first serious attempt at quitting since then. But I now know why I started back up again, and I'd like to pass it on to you (even though you may already know this): Once you quit smoking and if you want to stay quit, you can never have a cigarette again. Ever. Not even one. One is all it takes. That's all it took for me. Don't even mess with them.

Actually, I have smoked on about three different occasions since then. And none of those gave me the desire to start back up. I just smoked for social purposes.
I don't know, maybe its not as addictive to my system as it is to others. Quitting was very, very easy for me.

That may very well be, I'm learning that my addiction is more psychological than physical. I got paired up with a regular co-driver who doesn't smoke, so I thought I'd take advantage of the situation. The true test for me is if I can handle drinking beer without smoking. That's the hardest part.

My Dad was an unfliltered Camel smoker from the time he was about 14 or 15 until he was about 40 when the doctor told him quit or die. He cold turkeyed it, even though my Mother smoked. The guy I go out with was the same and did the same.
