The mean people aren't leaving you alone.. are these the people who don't like the nuggets?
Sounds like your not far off that mark already Howard.. i'd say after 6-10 dates, that's kinda when your basically going steady.. any time over a month really.
Oh how i wish we got free refills on anything here. It's one of those things i really take advantage of in the states.. it's like.. "wait you telling me i can go up, fill up my cup and it's ok" "Yes sir it is" "saaahweet!"
I'll still give her some time to think about it. :)

??? Your IKEA sells food? Ours sells furniture and the like ???
Yeah it isn't like a super market but you can get a lot of stuff there, and there is like a little resteraunt and stuff.. it's neat, but it's right on between the two big city's around here on the highway.. so unless you don't mind driving a little way for dinner it's not really feasible.

Like a fool, I ventured out into one of these vast aircraft hangars about this time last year...bloody frightening...the crowds...
They do sell food (they have restaurants attached), as well as pointless bits of furniture...I think the only thing they don't sell is the thing you went in there for in the first place...!!

The local Ikea (which would probably swallow up 50 football pitches), is situated in Ye Great Wilderness Of Thurrock, Essex - known to millions as 'Lakeside'...
I suppose they have their fans, but I'm not really one of 'em - perhaps it's me...on that fateful occasion I did witness a young lady walking out with what looked like two armfuls of dead tree - probably very arty dead tree, but lost me completely...!!

block some of the daylight so as not to allow all the dusty corners to show. ;)

Not all women do this. I think the kitchen curtains have been closed all this week. We leave before it's properly light and get home when it's dark so I haven't seen the point.

We never had anything as cool as a bed with a slide on it, but we had bunk beds with a trumble bed underneth (with 6 kids, we needed all the beds we could get that didn't take up too much room). We would pull the trumble bed out, climb on the top bunk and jump down. We thought that was pretty cool.

We went to a party at the college president's house. To my surprise, I saw the teacher I worked with when I student teaching. We realized that we haven't seen each other in almost 10 years. :o It doesn't seem that long ago. Hopefully we can get together and really catch up. (It is so hard to do that at extremely crowded parties.) But it was great to see her.

Well,I just came back a few hours ago from my get together with Robin.Today,we wanted to go to a tex-mex restaurant but the had to reserve it for a party so her and I went to a diner for dinner and she had Chicken Parmigan and I had a Beefburger Deluxe. For dessert,we both had gelato which was very good despite the very cold weather in New York City.We both wanted to eat in the gelato cafe but I felt kind of nervous cause the tables that were set up were so close together and I didn't want to talk to a bunch of strangers so we left and we had the gelato to go.
As for Robin,I feel she's kinda demanding lately when last night she had said to me on the phone that either you get a paying job or we won't further this relationship and I won't become your girlfriend.Would you believe this crap? >:( ::) See,now I know I should've shut my mouth. :(

Crap is a good word for it. While she probably means well by what she says, it is YOUR life and YOU have to make your OWN decisions. Decisions made under a threat are bad ones. :-\\
Should you have kept your mouth shut? I say no way. Sooner or later she was going to "find out"... You can not enter into serious relationships under the premise of evasiveness or dishonesty. :-X

I, like Lyricboy am dismayed at this, Howard. I agree with him entirely. No way should you have shut your mouth because you would not avoid this problem by keeping quiet.
The best I can say is to bite your tongue and wait to find out whether Robin is merely being abrupt or is threatening you. If you find she is simply being abrupt and it is a misunderstanding, then you are still fine. If you find she is threatening you to do something you are not quite ready for, you have to decide what's best for your interests.

When you DO get a paying full or part time job, do it because YOU are ready and do it for YOU. Maybe she is right and its time for you to do that. I don;t know. Only YOU do, and threats do not help. ???
Hang in there buddy. ;)
But,why would she want me to be like her? I don't understand? The next day before our phone call she avoided to talk about it.So,that's a good sign.It seems like now going on our 8th get together,I'm feeding her way too much information that she wants to know about me.What do you guys think? :(

Well, you're one up on the MORON that passed me today in the right turn lane and promptly smashed into a Mercedes, thus making my 45 min drive home from the doctor turn into 2 hours because I was a good samaritan and stayed until the police came and gave my statement as a witness.

My son is crazy about trains, especially Amtrak. I mentioned it to a guy I work with and he said he had a friend who worked in the Amtrak yard and invited us down for a tour. We got to go into the engine and ride in it while they were switching cars, Jake got to blow the whistle. They gave him a safety vest and hard hat and it was so cool, he will never forget it
and neither will I. :)

I love taking the train. People who took the train this week got out of town while others sat
for 3 days in airports, they do all the driving while you look out the window, listen to music, read
a book, or get to know someone in the next seat. I have met a lot of interesting people on
the train. The ride is what you make it. ;)

That must have been soooo annoying. Some people can be self centered idiots. If that happens again
just take your seat ticket and move if you can, another car if necessary. I have done that, if the conductor
questions you just tell him why you moved, they are very good about that sort of stuff. ;)

All I want this time is to sit and be alone by myself.I don't want to interact with strangers.I want to try to have some nice peace and quiet( if there is any).I don't want anyone to bother me for 3 hours.I guess Danoota, you can't help people yapping on their cell phones.that's pretty commonplace these days. ::)

How was the train ride? Quiet as you wanted? My son always came down with a cold or
something from the trains/planes. Now I pony up for a business class seat, It seems to work.
The plane is a different matter though, don't know what we will do, we are going on a trip to

I read somewhere that in Japan there are some places (like movie theatres) that have "cell phone jammers" that disable cell phones and eliminate the annoying noise.
It would be cool 8) to have one of those.

Actually, they have them here, too. The problem is that they are soooo expensive to retrofit into a building so they are only installing them in new buildings ;)

What brought this on(or am I just out of the loop?)? Where in California, my sister went to San Francisco

R & R, CA is one of the funnest places to visit, but it's too crowded to live there (except maybe in LaJolla), and the way things are going, it will probably break off and fall into the sea :o Suggest you bundle up and stay in the Springs.

I just came back after my 10th get together with Robin today. We went to a mall.We were both shopaholics.I had bought 6 pairs of socks for $10.00 and a blue button down dress shirt for $18+tax which came out to $19.58.Also,went to eat at Sbarro Pizza, walked around and had a good time with each other.I kinda see some romance going on between us.Like,I got to sit on her lap which was comfortable,we both got to hold hands, I squeezed & pinched her belly for fun and laughter and ended it with a kiss on her cheek for the night in her car. :)

My daughter has been chosen for a very minor solo part in her dance school show. They are going to sing and dance to 'the ugly bug ball' and she has the part of the caterpillar. Now I've just got to convince her that her teacher wants her to sing loudly and not shout the words! The show isn't until June so we've got a while to practice.

Not to mention EXPENSIVE!!! I was watching an HGTV program where a 1500 sq. ft. ranch house was going for $500K+ :o In my town, the same house would be about $150-200K.
When I was out there (L.A. area), I looked in the real estate ads. For a two bedroom fixer-upper (don't recall the sq footage) they wanted something like $300K :o

Alcoholica, I might get to visit London in the next few months.
I've been trying to develop some business for my company here in the 'States by calling a London-based trading company, who has expressed some interest in our product. If they show enuf interest, I'll skip across the pond for a personal sales call to them, which would be cool. 8)
