Wasp's on the lake.
I was out sailing with my old man one time and there was no wind at all, and we were basically just sitting there eating our sandwhiches.
These wasps come along, about 10 of them and start flying round us, and we're jumping up and down shouting at them, I've grabbed the plank and am swinging it wildly, he's swatting at them with his hat. Everybody was lined up on the jetty laughing.. bastards.
Oh yeah, we'll have to check what time it's playing.

Last movie I saw was Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, which I LOVED. Funny with heart. Greg Cole(Lumberg from Office Space) was great as Ricky's dad, Sacha Baron Cohen(Ali G, Borat) as Jean Girard, the gay French formula one driver(LOL), and Ricky's kids.

I watched an Indie flick called 11:14, starring , Hilary Swank, Henry Thomas (Elliott from ET), Rachael Leigh Cook, and Patrick Swayze. It was pretty good. Kind of along the lines of Crash, Go, Pulp Fiction.. that sort of thing.. with the multiple characters all intersecting in different ways.

The Last Waltz- a musical documentary featuring The Band, with many guests, including Neil Young, Dr.John, Muddy Waters, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Ron Wood, Ringo Starr, and others.. I had never seen it before, but am thinking now I might have to go buy the DVD if it's available.

I watched "Match Point" starring Scarlett Johansson. It's a Woody Allen flick. British. Quite good. The movie just sort of stops abruptly however. I think I would have liked a better ending.

I just watched "The Chumscrubber" . It's an indie flick with an all-star cast, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, John Heard, Rory Culkin, Rita Wilson, Carrie Ann Moss, and a host of others. It's a very disturbing movie about how apathetic we have all become in this day and age of medicating every last emotion away.

Yeah, you've got to have the right frame of mind to be there, but also the right person with you. There is actually a lot of beauty in L.A. People think of smog and stuff, but when I was there, all I could see were beautiful blue skies above me. And Hollywood, it is so much smaller than one would think. It changes your whole perspective of that "Big" Hollywood image they've carved out.

and agressive drivers. Yeah, if I could do without that, L.A. would be better, but again - you can avoid the 405 (freeway) by taking alternate routes within the city. Following Sunset Blvd out to the end is probably faster than the freeway ;D

that's how I was when it first came out....I like...couldn't get enough of it. I have that glossy pictured book....sometimes I take it out and look through it still.
I still remember the first time I saw it. It was released on December 19th, 1997 and one week later, the day after Christmas, my dad took my sister and I to go see it. I also saw it again on my 16th birthday in 1998......6 months later and it was STILL in theatres.

I remember the first time I saw it as well, it wasn't long after it was released and I remember that it was just packed at the theatre. I remember it took forever for the tape to be released, much longer than usual, I'd imagine it was because it's theatrical success lasted so long they held off the video release.
It wasn't released on VHS until September of 1998. I know this because I went to the store the day of release, right after school, to go buy it.

Return to Salem's Lot, a not-so-great vampire movie from 1987. I still enjoyed it... in that way that I always enjoy horror flicks with terrible acting and hokey plots. (I'm not being entirely sarcastic.)

That would be a sequel to Salem's Lot, the Stephen King book and movie?

Yeah... sort of. From what I've read, it's a sequel "in name only" and has little to do with Stephen King's original story or cast of characters. I haven't seen the original Salem's Lot (nor read the book.. I'm not a fan of King's novels), but I've heard that it's a much better horror movie.

The other night we watched Trapped in Paradise with Nick Cage, Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey.
Apparently we bought it some time ago and forgot about it.... pretty funny flick.
