I watched this bad lifetime movie (yes there are good lifetime movies  :P ) anyway I kept thinking the title was Everyone Hates Me (which would be appropriate  :D ) but it's actually called Not Like Everyone Else.  It's based on a true story of a Tulsa high school student who was suspended a couple days after Colombine. She had some short story about a kid with a gun on the bus that the school officials took as manifesto. Then, when she returned to school the following year she started studying Wicca.....I thought about you Cat they did a good job defining the Wiccan Beliefs (as she explained what it's all about to her friend/boyfriend) but---mostly the kids at the school taunted her and called her witch and there was talk of casting spells on teachers and crap it was lame...I about fell out of my seat laughing so hard when the door bell rang. instead of a burning cross on the lawn or a flaming bag of poop on the door step there were about 25 candles, a bible, replica 10 commandment stones, prayer beads and some other crap in a semi circle on their doorstep... it probably actually happened that way but it played so overthetopmelodramatic in the film!  The acting was horrible...

You have to understand that Tulsa is in the heart of the Bible Belt (used to live there & I still have family there). This girl I went to school with wore a ring with a stone and I asked her if it was her birth stone and she told me it was "re-birth stone."  ::)

As for the movie, I can believe that it did happen like that. A lot of "funny mentalist" believe that it is their calling to convert everyone who is NOT Christian. They think that is what God wants them to do. EVERYONE HAS to believe what they believe because they KNOW that is the truth. I'm sure they just thought that girl was "misguided" so therefore it was their DUTY to guide her towards "truth."  ::)

But, not having seen the movie, I can't say anything about the acting.

Oh don't get me wrong.. I know all about the bible belt... and I don't doubt that that incident happened... it's just if you could've seen how mellow dramatic the whole thing was... it was wayyyyyy over the top  ;D  The incident was real-I googled it.. of course names have been changed to protect the not willing to be mentioned  ;)  but dramatizations about real events usually embelish stuff for dramatic effect so an incident that say, had 2 students calling her names was amped up to about 20 students circling her and calling her names...

It is very good, the ending is a little weak, or good, I guess it's both.  Hard to describe.  It's worth full price in my opinion.

Now this one really surprised me!  :o  I went with my 14 year old daughter... and cringed with embarrassment as I bought the tickets.  HOwever, after seeing this film...I have gained some respect for 'The Bieb'. He actually has musical talent and is a multi instrumentalist.  He is still a precocious little pretty boy... but he DOES have talent.

I enjoyed the film... :)

It was ok. I've seen better & I've seen worse. Not too sure what all the rave about the movie is. Carlos fell asleep during it-which I knew he would. He said that the first time he saw it, he thought it was boring. We only watched it because I had never seen it. Since it is a classic-I HAD to see it at least once. I would give it about a C+/B-.

first time I saw it was in a film class... for that class we always screened a film, took a break then watched it a second time.

I knew Rosebud was a sled (revealed in a TV show long ago) so the whole time I was watching I felt like I was watching paint dry... it was like come on already!!!!

The film is a classic primarily for the cinematography... and the cinematography is fantastic but I'm a storyline/plot girl...lose me on that and you lose me in the film.

In 1942, in a small town in Czechoslovakia, the poor carpenter Tony Brtko is assigned "Aryanizator" of a small shop on the main street by his fascist brother-in-law Mark Kolkotsky. His greedy wife Evelyn is seduced with the promise of fortune, but Tony finds that the store owned by the deaf and senile seventy year-old widow Rozalie Lautmann is bankrupted and the old lady is financially supported by the Jewish community that promises a salary to him to help her. Tony befriends Ms, Lautmann and helps her in the store and repairs her furniture, and lures his wife with his salary. When the Jews are expelled from the town by the fascist, Tony decides to help the old lady.

Valkyrie was directed by Bryan Singer for the American studio United Artists, and the film stars Tom Cruise as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, one of the key plotters. The cast included Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Eddie Izzard, Terence Stamp and Tom Wilkinson.

Airplane!, a 1980 American satirical comedy film directed and written by David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker and released by Paramount Pictures. It stars Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty and features Leslie Nielsen, Robert Stack, Lloyd Bridges, Peter Graves, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Lorna Patterson. The film is a spoof of the disaster film genre, and a close parody of the 1957 Paramount film Zero Hour!. The film is well-noted for its use of absurdist and surrealist comedy.

If they were planning on remaking it they would use all new actors anyway. Although they could get Diana to play Lena Horne's role.

Yeah Ted Ross is dead. So are Mabel King and Richard Pryor.

But you don't need all those actors for a remake. The most important one, Diana Ross, is still alive. Give her a cameo and it'd be good.

I think every Marvel Movie to date has had something at the end of the credits. I was disappointed this one did not... I did enjoy the two cameos in the film!
