Beverly Hills Chihuahua. We watched it on DVD last night.

The title character in the movie has the same name as my dog, also a chihuahua...but mine is a long-haired chihuahua, whereas the one in the movie is short-haired.

ah that's a hot one. i worked in a movie theater when that came out and got endless free movies as long as i wasn't working, and i saw that movie a hundred trillion times. it was out at the same time as another movie i really love, the witches of eastwick. i'd go see one, and then the other, and then the first one again.

........It was pretty good...........

While cleaning I put in Hickey and Boggs. A 1972 Noir like thriller w/ Bill Cosby & Robert Culp, reteaming 4 years after I Spy went off the air.The 2 are P.I.'s tracking a missing person & all their leads are ending up dead. It's a great example of 70's Film making.Directed by Culp and the screenplay is by Walter Hill{who went on to do the Screenplays for 48 Hrs. , The Warriors , The Getaway , Hard Timesand The Drowning Pool}and many others.

Yet another variation on The Most Dangerous Game .Only more brutal this time out..... This Film had a brief release, probably because of the much bigger success of Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, just 3 months earlier.

Watched The Omen remake from 2006.
I'm trying to decide if I like it......I thought it was blasphemous {pun intended  ;) } that anyone would remake such a classic.
Liev Schreiber is no Gregory Peck.....and Julia Stiles.....is no Lee Remick.
The original worked because of the caliber of Actors that Peck & Remick were.
In the technologically challenged 70's...If You wanted an effect done...You had to figure out how to do it....Now in these technologically dependant times .....CGI.....create an effect with a computer.
The photography of the Film is great.Lots of rainstorms, stark dream sequences...
Pete Postlethwaite & Mia Farrow are very good in the Movie. The leads...leave much to be desired.....I'm gonna have to watch the original again....

I saw it in the theater when word of mouth was spreading it was funny tho because some of the humor is dark and so- in the full theater- I was the only one laughing in the beginning.. Q, I can't watch Beaches - too sad!!!  :\'( How was Bride Wars?

bride wars was not bad...if you like that fluffy kind of movie... I like Anne Hathaway and I like the chemistry between her and Kate Hudson...
It could have been better but fed my immediate chick flick need... I'd watch it again!!!

I forgot how much I love Beaches!!!! man I was totally into it...didn't even realize it was 6am by the time I finished it...

This afternoon I was watching Dog Day Afternoon with My Dad.
We saw it back in 1975 when it came out {with My Favorite Uncle}
What an incredible performance by Al Pacino. The "Attica" scene is a real classic.Pacino plays it perfectly.
The character realizes He can do anything and get away with it,as long as His partner's holding the hostages at gunpoint.

Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion,
Bridget Jones's Diary
Sliding Doors

I love Sliding Doors, such a cool film.

Mind you I did feel a little sad that at the time of the film I had my hair like Gwyneth, and the same 3/4 black coat which I loved, and 12 years down the line she still looks pretty much the same and I........don't. I think the moral of the story is eating crap, drinking lots of wine and never exercising catches up in the end!  ;D

It was Richard Grieco as Bugsy Siegel, Patrick Dempsey was in it  (back when he was still McGeeky), Christian Slater and Costas Mandylor (sp) What a handsome cast.....(I loved Grieco from 21 Jump Street, etc, I actually thought at the time that he'd end up as popular as Johnny Depp is now)...so I stayed with that til I fell asleep. Denzel's & Travolta's chemistry is undeniable. Their verbal jousting was great.......
