Yeah, that happened to me around 2 hours back. I went to the fuse box, thinking I'd be able to sort it out myself. Turned out that it wasn't a matter of just throwing the switches back up, as I'd thought all along. Further investigation revealed I couldn't pull the fuses out, as a metal face place .... well screwed down, impeded my pulling them out. I decided to go around and tell the people who manage the building .... having wasted 5 minutes and as many dollars (?) on my mobile ...... listening to an AUTOMATED VOICE ! (damn .... I hate that system !  >:(  .... I hung up in the end !  >:( ).

Turns out ..... that they could turn the electricity to my unit back on through a cupboard in the building  ..... so, I was wasting my time trying to replace fuses.

I'm not too happy though ..... that should / when it happens again, I shall be powerless (no pun intended .... really !) to resolve it immediately by myself, but will be dependent on others / having to wait in frustration ! (They would not give me a key to that 'common box'  :\'( ).

Predicament ..... yeah ..... I was concerned the food in my freezer would start to thaw .... and of course, I lost the internet too ! At least this all happened in daylight, with a few  business hours up my sleeve. Whilst I was QUITE frustrated / irritated / in a mini -panic at the time, I was trying to think ..... 'just maybe, maybe ..... this is a 'blessing in disguise' ?

Since I no longer had this site to distract me .... and knew people were coming around, I turned my attention to tidying the place up a little. It now looks at about as good as it's been in the last 2 weeks, or so !

Re the 'Buddy' thing ..... I don't think it does anything more than bold / highlight your 'buddies' who are NOT hidden,  .... so, if they're hidden, you get no notification to that effect  ...... or vice versa (if you hide, are on someones list .... they wouldn't see you even though you're currently active).

Not sure about here but in the UK some of these companies use premium rate numbers and I think they get to keep a percentage of the cost of the call.

Twice recently I've tried to cancel something and have been told that the computer is down at the moment and they will take down the details to enter into the system later.  Mysteriously this never happens and I have to phone again.  ::)

Actually, I lost electricity in my unit approx week or so back. Used my mobile to try this number to report it. unfortunately he did not. He still had a fever around 100 or so, and they won't let a child come to school if their temperature is above 100 degrees, so I had to keep him home. :(

Actually, I haven't responded to it as of yet. Sometimes I need to think about what to say; it doesn't always come to me.

I did something similar to that once.  I always let the washing machine fill up about halfway so that the laundry detergent can kinda dissolve BEFORE I put in any clothes...well I got sidetracked and forgot to put any actual clothes in the machine.  What a waste of $1.25 and 35 minutes.  ::)  ;D

That's EXACTLY why this happened to me ! I thought the detergent would get a chance to spread more easily .... if I added it in when there was a good supply of water already in the machine ! .....  :(
