A nifty little thing I bought on Amazon-it is a turntable that will convert vinyl to CD through your computer. I thought about getting one for cassette too but I found out that you don't need any special cassette player for that-just the hook up. So I need to figure out what that is. That would be funny, since I really don't drink much coffee.  And when I do drink it, it's Cappachino (Italian coffee).  ;D  When I was in the hospital last year though, it wasn't anything I was missing except coffee.  After a week of liquid diets, you would think I'd be wanting...pizza or something.  But what I wanted was iced tea and to sniff my mom's cup of coffee.  Yes I'm a strange bird.  ;D

You make a tin of home made lasagna where the sauce alone takes 8 hours in a slow cooker and you have spent the better part of the day preparing the thing and it gets wolfed down in 5 minutes.  I have since learned to make a minimum of 4 tins and freeze all the ones that are not consumed on the preparation day.

I know it sounds odd, but have you tried cherry juice or extract pills?  Hubby suffers from gout, which is similar to arthritis and there's something in cherries that reduces the swelling.

By 10:00 last night, the problem was fixed. We had no idea what was wrong with our phone. We were able to make outgoing calls from our land line, but weren't able to receive any for some unknown reason. Like I said, the problem is all gone now.

Chancre sores eh?  Those things suck...there's like Orajel or some other over-the-counter stuff you can use to apply to those and soothe them until they heal, otherwise it's gonna be a pain to eat.

or if you buy a food item, keep it in your fridge, and completely forget about it (ie, never use it)...and when you finally take it out, it has expired and rotted. This happens sometimes when we buy packaged veggies.

Update...

By 10:00 last night, the problem was fixed. We had no idea what was wrong with our phone. We were able to make outgoing calls from our land line, but weren't able to receive any for some unknown reason. Like I said, the problem is all gone now.

That's why I Tivo everything...  I have a poor man's Tivo called Ultimate TV. I don't think they offer it anymore it was availabe through Directv. but those of us who got still get the service.

About6 years ago I got one Recorder for 80 bucks (it was an open box buy).....my friend got one and I liked it so I bought the last one... my friend decided to upgrade two years ago to Tivo and he GAVE me his recorder.... what a good friend. So now I have two and still only out 80 bucks!

Winter is the worst time for alot of people. More people are depressed in the winter. It's called Seasonal Affective Disorder. Shorter days of daylight, cold and dreary. My oldest daughter is going through a major bad time right now, and I told her, just don't make any big life decisions right now.  When Spring and summer get here something about the sunlight makes alot of people feel better.
