Subject: Associated Press now reporting that al-Zarqawi may be dead
Written By: GWBush2004 on 11/20/05 at 5:41 pm
It started with a few unknown sites, moved to middle eastern papers and now is being picked up by the Associated Press.

Hope it's true is all I can say. I'll wait until the troops trot out the body.

If it's true that al-Zarqawi is dead, and it turns out that he was killed by U.S. troops, would the soldiers responsible be eligible for the $25 million bounty that was placed on his head? I certainly think they deserve it.

"Oh, I killed Zarqawi"
"I killed Zarqawi!"
"No, I killed Zarqawi"
"No you didn't, I killed him!"
"I killed Zarqawi, and so did my lawyer!"

What I meant was, maybe they could divide the $25 mil among the members of the unit that were involved in killing al-Zarqawi. I mean, if an Iraqi citizen showed up at the U.S. embassy with al-Zarqawi's head on a silver platter and was eligible for the reward money, then why shouldn't our troops be eligible for it as well?

No, just as policmen cannot receive rewards on anyone. It is considered in the line of duty so they are
not eligible.
