Requirements to be a "Good Liberal", which is an oxy-moron
You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on demand.
You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.
You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean communists.
You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.
You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving SUV's.
You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural
.
You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.
You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th-graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but urban activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do.
You have to believe that having self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.
You have to believe that Mel Gibson spent $25 million of his own money to make The Passion Of The Christ for financial gain only.
You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.
You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.
You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Gen. Robert E. Lee, and Thomas Edison.
You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.
You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very nice person.
You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.
You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House.
You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites, and bestiality should be constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.
You have to believe that illegal Democratic Party funding by the Chinese government is somehow in the best interest to the United States.
You have to believe that John Kerry’s Purple Hearts are legitimate, and that a Massachusetts Senator more liberal than Teddy Kennedy can be elected President of the United States.
You have to believe that this message is a part of a vast, right wing conspiracy.

These "criteria" are old hack. Everybody's seen them and they've been posted here once or twice before. But hey, if you keep on saying them, one day they might come true. ::)

Criteria? More like "bacteria"! Yep, "tell a big enough lie often enough..."

So, if I don't believe 90% of what is listed above, what does that make me ???
A Progressive (knowing your politics)?
Silly rot. Refuse to take the time to refute this bull dung, or to make a similar list re conservatives.

I'm startin' to think it's a good idea not to believe 90% of anything. It's figgerin' out which 10% to believe that's the challenge!

This one is credible. America's biggest employer, Wal-Mart receives government subsidies to manufacture all its products in China, where they don't have to observe any of the intrusive labor and environmental standards the U.S. government constantly shove down the throats of honest, hard-working, American entrepeneurs such as the Walton family.
Who was on the board of Wal-Mart? Hillary Clinton! It's all starting to come together now!
as Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of General Electric, recently said, 'When I'm talking to GE managers, I talk China, China, China, China, China. You need to be there. You need to change the way people talk about it and how they get there. I'm a nut on China... Outsourcing from China is going to grow to $5 billion. Every discussion today has to center on China. The
cost basis is extremely attractive.'
But one has to realize, the outsourcing of jobs to China, the rising trade deficits the U.S. has with China, the gigantic debt the U.S. government owes the Chinese government, does not benefit corporations such as Wal-Mart or GE. These corporations are simply trying to stay afloat with their narrow profit margins in a sea of greedy American workers who refuse to work for less than six bucks an hour. A Chinese worker will work for ten times less. American workers are the pigs of the world!ÂÂ
The coming destruction of the American living standard is, in fact, a conspiracy between the Democratic party and the Communist Chinese government. You see, once America sinks to 1931-level living standards, the demoralized populus will be once again ready to accept the Maoist dogma of Hillary Clinton and Howard Dean. Then in marches the International Maoist Front with their Little Red Books, and China, with the aid of the DNC, takes over America, and then THE WORLD!
Muuaah ha ha ha ha!

Oy.. nothing to say.
Dude, seriously, this is for DEBATE, not "EVERYONE IS STUPID BUT ME!"
And it's not like we've never seen a chain letter before. This one just happens to be anti-Democrat.

A word to both parties out there: this is only political humor. None of this is to be taken seriously. If a set of agendas is what you define a political party, you have a narrow-minded view of politics IMHO ;).

Unfortunately, there is nothing funny about the state of American politics today, regardless of where you stand.

Agenda is the plural, agendum is the singular, but if you say "agendum," people say, "Huh?"
::)
Anyway, what the bloody h*ll else has a political party ever been? It's a set of agendas vying for overall societal priorities.
There is a major problem with the claim that dumb list is "humor." The spokesmen* for the American Right--such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Pat Robertson, and Pat Buchanan--sound EXACTLY like that when they are trying to be serious--and, oh, how they try! Ain't it pathetic? They have utterly blurred the line between doctrine and farce. The Rush Limbaughs of the our country have so well primed the populus for Fascism over the last fifteen years we don't even pick up on the absurdity anymore.
If you heard the O'Reilly Factor in 1975, you would think it was a spoof on Conservatism. Back then, you had to subscribe to the John Birch Society newsletter just to approach the kind militant paranoia FOX News broadcasts night after night!!!
:o
* I was gonna say "spokespeople," but I wanted to avoid charges of PC!

All I know is there are mean people on BOTH sides. My EX boss found out I voted for Bush and proceeded to call me a fool. Yet then I recieved the Christmas Bonus...for delivering a liberal publication...then she got in a car wreck and was out for a couple months. Upon her return she complimented me on my great work...a week later she fired me "There were numerous complaints about you're deliveries." After I was fired I visited each and every place I had delivered to and they all were shocked I'd been canned. some even cancelled thier service :) Evertime I see her now, I cough the words Bi-polar and she gives me a dirty look ;D
