Subject: What should Michael Jackson be sentenced to?

I say life without parole. He seems pretty hopeless, but he's too weird to give death penalty imo.

Yeah I hope he/she/it goes to prison for a long time, at least 20 years anyway, and I hope he/she/it gets butt raped many times while in prison.

Ok. Honestly, I don't even pay much attention to these celebrity justice stories -- what is he even being accused of doing? I know 'molestation' supposedly but what specifically? Buggery?

IF he's guilty, then I say 10-40 years. He probably won't last that long in prison so IMO, that would be the same as Life or the death penalty
Yeah, I can picture him being some big hairy dude's b!tch.

A convicted murderer would kill him in a second. While more forgiving people may show him some mercy, murderers and rapists will not.

If I had to choose, that's what I would say. If he is guilty of:
1. molestation
2. drugging with intent to molest
3. Contributing to the deliquency of minors (drugs, alcohol)
If he has in fact done these things for years, concealed it from the authorities, and then lied repeatedly about it, I would have no problem with MJ getting 20 year stretch.
I wouldn't put him in with the general population so he'd get devoured. I would allow him a special but spartan life in prison.
As I have said before, I would be content with supervised probation for MJ, and I would require he stay away from all non-family minors.

First of all, you can't buy your way out. Not legally anyway. He could try bribery, but isn't he broke anyway? That's what the media reckon, but with the suits he's been wearing to court, he must have some money.
What's with all this, "I hope he gets life in prison" crap. He's being charged with plying a minor with alcohol with intent to molest and then molesting that minor. He's also up for 28 overt acts of conspiracy. Out of those 28 "overt acts" only about 10 sound "overt" to me, and only 3 of those 28 "overt acts" involve Michael Jackson.
I bet that atleast a few of you have given alcohol to someone under 18 before. Whether it be the time your son asked for a sip of your brandy, or when you turned 18 before all your friends and brought them all a 6 pack. I know of alot of people that are guilty of "intoxicating a minor". So if Michael deserves life in prison for this, then send half of American to prison as well.
The molestation itself didn't happen, I know that as a fact. I was with Michael during the taping of "Living With Michael Jackson", I saw how the accuser's mother and Martin Bashir were organising a trap for Michael to fall into. It's a big, big set up. These charges will get thrown out as soon as the defence present their case (if not sooner).
If Michael is found guilty of 3 conspiracy charges he wont even get a year. He'll be out by the end of 2005 or the start of 2006.
All Michael has to worry about is a few months in jail.

I read something about how the accuser's mother contacted a number of other celebrities prior to even meeting MJ -- among them, Jay Leno, who soon afterwards contacted the police with his suspicions that this woman was "looking for a mark".
Of course, that's from the New York Times, so take it with a grain of salt. ???

If Michael Jackson is found guilty, he should be forced to go to Folsom Prison and recreate note-for-note Johnny Cash's classic album "Live At Folsom Prison." It'd be funny to hear Michael Jackson try and stammer his way through "A Boy Named Sue" as hundreds of incarcerated Hell's Angels and members of the Aryan Brotherhood are jeering him and pelting him with debris.

I think you all deserve life in prison for the horrible thinsg you've said about Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson.
60 Million Singles, 200 Million Albums
15 Grammy Awards
The Biggest Selling Album of All Time (Thriller)
The Biggest Selling Remix Album Of All Time (Blood On The Dance Floor)
The Biggest Selling Double Album Of All Time (HIStory)
The Most Successful World Tour By Any Artist (HIStory World Tour)
The Most Money Contributed To The Most Charities
The Most Grammy's Won In A Single Year (8 - tied with Santana and Ray Charles)
The Most Expensive Music Video (Scream)
The Longest Running Music Video (Ghosts - 40 mins)
The Second Biggest Selling Solo Artist Of All-Time (250+ Million records)
The Most Awarded Artist In History
The Biggest Television Audience (1993 Superbowl Half-time show)
The Most Requested Music Video On MTV (Earth Song)
I could go on and on with great achievments by Michael Jackson, but I think you all get the idea. Notice it's not only music. Michael is also the person to have contributed the most money to the most charities. His a loving, caring person, who unfortunately, made enemies with the wrong people, people who have the power to arrest him with no evidence at all, and then get on TV and say he is guilty of child molestation, without any evidence, or having gone through any sort of trial systemm. Tom Sneddon didn't have any evidence until his second Neverland raid in 2004. Even then, all he got was Michael's DNA and a couple of adult porn mags.
A loving, career, innocent, musical genius. What ahve ya'll got against this great man?

Right then, let's use your logic shall we...
The Beatles:
17 Number One Hits, more than any other Group.
They have spent more time at the number one spot (69 weeks) than any other group.
They have had more consecutive numbers ones than any other group (7)
They have sold more singles than any other Group (20.8 million)
The most consecutive top 10 singles for a group (18)
So here we can be sure that The Beatles are without a shadow of a doubt the best group to have ever picked up instruments, and thus anybody that dosen't like them.. well.. well..well.. THEY SHOULD FRY DAMMIT!

Just because a person has achieved success or contributed to charity doesn't mean they're not a sick SOB. Heck, look at all the Catholic priests that have been molesting little kids....public persona has nothing to do with what goes on behind closed doors. ::)
Behind closed doors? I suppose you know everything about what goes on behind closed doors? Listen, I've worked with Michael since Thriller right up to Invincible, and I have witnessed genius in all it's glory. I have spent loads of time with Michael and guess what, he is COMPLETELY different to what you people think he is.
He is into women and is quite the charmer. He's a lady's man.
He loves all forms of art, from music to art to film. He loves Charlie Chaplin, Michaelangelo, Beethoven. I feel this is something the public don't know about him.
He's a very, very funny guy! He drinks, he curses and he doesn't have that high voice all the time! He says he was trained by his record company to talk that way because they tought it gave him a innocent, childish, carefree, appeal. So when he's presented to the public, at award shows or in interviews etc. he naturally uses his high voice. But when he's at home, he has a deep voice, it's still mellow sounding, but deep.
He feels the need to help people, because people helped him get to where he is by buying his records, so he feels he owes something to them. He is always donated money to charities and bringing in terminally ill people to go on the rides and enjoy the last days of their lives. He really feels that's important. And it's not only ill kids, it's ill adults. He also brings in orphans, inner-city children, and everyone that is unfortuante. He's a very caring person.
I know Michael didn't molest the boy. I can't understand why the prosecution have no evidence, the accuser's brother admitted to lying, every prosecution witness so far has helped the defence more then they have helped the prosecution. It's common sense that the family is lying. I believ it was the boy who said he didn't knwo what time it was at Neverland at some particular event, but in police raids they found clocks in nearly every room and a big huge tower clock outside. The accuser's brother said in his cross-examination that there were no computers at Neverland, however in the police raid they seized over a dozen computers. One was Prince's, one was Michael's, about half a dozen were for Neverland employees (business purposes) and the rest were stored away because they were either broken, or just old. One was also a laptop which Michael uses when he travels. The accuser's brother also said he witnessed Michael molesting his brother, however there is no way that from where the kid says he was standing, that you can see the bed (this is where the boy himself claims he was molested). There's so many lies that the family has told. It's ridiculous and sickening. I say the mother should be locked up. The kids should be either sent to juvi or given to a foster and family and the mother is never to see or speak to them ever again!!

Presumably, these have been pre-worn by one of his (and this word's for you, Robbo!) alleged victims. It would give the sicko a chance to stand on stage (sorry, in court) and laugh in the face of everyone. I don't share Robbo's blind idolism, he's not been found guilty yet, but even by his admissions on the Bashir documentary, he sounds like a danger to young teen boys.

Robbo, dude, while I respect the support you give your man, it shouldn't mean slandering the accusers or the people on the messageboard. Defend MJ with politeness :)
Not to say I am supportive of that creep myself. :P

Ok. Honestly, I don't even pay much attention to these celebrity justice stories -- what is he even being accused of doing? I know 'molestation' supposedly but what specifically? Buggery?
???
So, what exactly is he supposed to have done again? Rape? So far, I've heard something about looking at porn mags with 13-year olds, serving alcohol to minors and sleeping in the same bed as children... all of which sounds pretty damned inappropriate. And none of which sounds anything like 'molestation'. So, what juicy tidbits have I missed?

Uh, he taught em how to jack off and touched their d*ck when they did. And the alcohol thing, which is part of what is so atrocious about the crime.

??? What?
If it's about the crime, if he's guilty that's what happened.

??? Nothing.
To my mind, "if that's what happened, he's guilty". But that's just me.

Agreed. IF he is guilty I said life w/out parole. Although with MJ it would most likely be better in a mental home than a prison. He is truly mindless.

They're digging through the evidence...
After the victim gave some of his testimony you have to think...if he was being coached(as some are saying)...it must've been by some other pediphile..how would he describe all this so accurately without scratching his head to try and remember what someoneTOLD him??
MJ in court in his pj's trumps the crazy family card so the field is now based on the testimony.... :D

I think whatever the outcome, guilty or innocent, Michael jackson is finished. If guilty its a shakespearean tragedy of a successful, talented individual undone by a major character flaw. If innocent, well will anyone really believe he's innocent now? The guys finished and even if they put him in prison, hospital or Disneyland his worst punishment will be to see everything he had disappear. I believe he might take his own life if found guilty anyway. A truly sad, sad case for all involved and a terrible indictment of unrestraiuned celebrity gone mad !

I disagree, if he is 'proved' 'innocent' then although i don't think he will ever have the same kind of success he will still be able to sell Records.
As P.T Barnum (me thinks) said.. "I don't care what they print, as long as they spell my name right"
