The show is basically about a guy and two robots (seen in gemini's pic) that are stuck out in space on a ship and they are put in the theater and shown B-movies to see how much they can take.  During the movie they make jokes about how bad it is and generally mock the whole thing.

I was thinking of a famous football coach in the news at the moment. By the way, I was within 100 yards of the FA headquarters in Soho Square yesterday and did not think of viewing the area, to see gathering press as shown on the news last night.

I am now a famous football coach!  ;D

Not many changes to the original team this season. I managed to buy top-class attacking midfielder Farnerud to replace bad-tempered AMC Colin Cameron who spat out his dummy and left in a huff at the end of last season (he isn't missed - in just 2 games, Farnerud has scored 2 goals... the same amount as Colin Cameron scored throughout last season). Hibbert is now my DR, and I managed to snap up Gardener to strengthen my central defence. The rest of my team are all present and correct

I discovered on clicking on Dog Pages that this messageboard is currently offline, thus giving us a good chance in catching up.
Nova board is also dead. (Well, not 100% sure, but it's all advertising now)

Other than gettin married and having a kid during the 80's, I don't find myself strongly attached to that decade. Apparently alot of others do.

For a lot of people here the 80's were their high school years (me included).  I think that tends to be the time when you start to form opinions on music, films, etc and that's why the attachment forms.

Comparing the two decades 80s and the 90s, I find reflecting back the 90s to be more eventful.

It seems for me that more was achieved in the 90s, or is down to the memory factor?

Still not clear on whether you mean globally or personally.

I'm talking more in a sense of culturally I suppose.  I'm not sure that more was achieved in one or other decade, just that people often are attached to the decade in which they grew up.  My mum and dad for example like most 50s music because that's when they were out dancing and dating and that.  by the 60s they were married with children.  The whole Beatles thing passed them by.

I was at high school then starting work in the 80s so most of my meaningful films, music etc is 80s based.  In the 90s I married and then started a family and paid much less attention to pop music and films etc.

Quite right.  I was in high school in the late sixties and I listen to the music of those years, up until the
80s I am ok, when we get to the 90s I get lost, now I am just hanging on by a thread as to knowing
who is doing what.  I wouldn't know a Britney Spears song from a Jessica Simpson, an R. Kelly from a
Nelly, and as for rock and roll, well, unless it is older rockers I am completely in the dark.  The same way for
the artists and writers, though I am a bit more aware of the writers.

Sorry, I am thinking personally here, but do not wish to discuss the major side of things here.

For globally, the World is changing all the time, where one event leads on to another.

From personal experiences I dont really care much for both the 80s & 90s... only the 90s for childhood memories etc. The 00s is where it's at for me.  8)

I've had to start being more aware of the current stuff as my daughter gets more into it.  I need to steer her the right way though.  Last night she declared that Hollaback Girl was her favourite ever song  :P
