Hi, everyone, this is Andria, and I am feeling like posting something weird. The weird thing that I am posting is a true but sadly unverifiable situation that I witnessed and was part of in a park in downtown Eugene, Oregon in 2003. On that day, I was walking around under the freeway overpass that covered much of the park, when I saw a man who appeared to be dressed as a stereotyped American Indian chief, running around with a bow and arrows, and he threatened to shoot anyone who appeared to be a law-enforcement officer.:o I told him that I would notify the police and that he would most likely get a psychiatric evaluation and might even get locked up for life, and he attempted to shoot me between the eyes with an arrow. Thankfully, my car was parked nearby, and after I jumped into the back seat (which has one tiny "opera window" on each side and a huge back window with numerous bumper stickers for outward vision), the man ran off, and I neither saw him nor heard of him again. I am quite grateful for the fact that God was on my side and that my car was and is extremely hard to see into, at least in terms of the back seat. ;D

Governmentium: New element discovered

Research has led to the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to
science. The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25
assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy
neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.


These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which
are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called
peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it

  After I hired some neighborhood teenagers (not the ones who constantly hit on me and/or throw eggs at, spray shaving cream and Silly String on my cars and truck and the converted garage that I rented before I bought the place that I am writing about and even set fire to a grocery bag full of what seemed to be horse manure that had been saturated with some sort of flammable liquid on my doorstep) to get rid of all the vegetation for $20 each, I found a backyard that had a mound of old tires that was taller than I am (I am 5'6"), rotted gunnysacks full of old Rainier beer cans, pieces of broken concrete, several badly rusted kitchen ranges, two 55-gallon drums full of broken glass, several old lawn mowers and about 30 rusted-through aerosol insecticide cans. All of that useless junk was promptly removed (thanks to my father, my significant other and his best friend, I could not afford Junk-Be-Gone or whatever the Sam Hill it is called), and I walked into the house, which had a very thick layer of dust on everything and had seen better days. I was surprised to find two rooms stacked to the ceiling with still more old tires.

  Anyhow, I have new grass growing outside, the outside door was replaced, my Obama-Biden sign and other political advertisements went into what will be flower beds for the first time in over 20 years this spring, and my ongoing (and likely neverending, or at least until I send it to the junkyard or sell it on Ebay as a parts car) 1981 Lancia Beta Zagato project car went into the carport with a blue tarp weighted at the corners with cinderblocks over it.    I like the place, and I am not planning on moving, at least not anytime soon.  :)
