Well, British teens who aren't Chavs want to be American, anyway! ;D
they go around watching American teen shows and listening to obscure American bands. I've even heard a couple of them using some American terms. Basically, they want to be like how the movies portray American teenagers
Personally, i'm proud of being British (more specifically, a mackem!), so i've never really tried to be American, Japanese, Mongolian or anything OTHER than British! ;D
I'd hate to be French, though >:(

I have nothing against the cockney accent, or any other accent for that matter, but I can tell you straight off that us Brits love (that's L-O-V-E) American accents... they just seem so cool!
Marsh's accent is really really cool (southern, isn't it?). I'd trade my accent with his any day of the week!

My ex had a Southern accent.. being Georgian and all... It was okay, but I've never liked the Southern accent.. I think it's cause I live in Hick Country, and everyone WANTS to be Southern, so they fake it.

No worries... I can sort of tell the difference between someone from New York and someone from Alabama, but most of the whole idea that all Americans have the same accent comes down partly to ignorance, partly to misunderstandings.
If there were two people from nearby regions who had accents that you would be able to tell the difference between without hesitation, chances are I wouldn't be able to pick up on the differences.
Same as if you heard a mackem accent and a geordie accent, or a yorkshire accent. You probablies wouldn't be able to tell them apart because they're all more or less from the same area (North East England)

No one cares that it was an inactive user's birthday. We played off the "BECKS" thing, and now the thread is continuing on. Again, I'll use this analogy: Compare this thread to "Bump Me!" "I Gotta Pee", any of jiminy's old joke threads. Except there's nothing offensive about this thread. There would be no basis to deleting it.
And I go with Beth.. is it really THAT big a deal? This forum is fairly orderly, sometimes you just gotta get the lead out.. you need somewhere to just spam everyone's ass off, and it might not be in just one thread. But as long as we keep to our few threads, no one gets hurt. If you don't like this thread, do what I do with threads I dislike: pass them by and ignore them. Chucky has been active several times since this thread's creation, and it never got deleted. So I'm guessing he doesn't view this as something that needs to be "taken down". So either wait for him to have a change of heart or for us to get bored and make a new retarded joke thread. Talking about how much a thread sucks only keeps it going. If you ignore it, chances are it'll die faster. If not, oh well, you're ignoring it, no big deal for you.

I've never experienced an earthquake of any scale before, but I imagine it must be quite scary... :o

This was a tiny one. We live literally.. right on top of the New Madrid fault, one of the biggest in the world. Basically when it decides to go properly.. St. Louis (where i live) Memphis.. and a bunch of other towns won't exist. Then there will be damage all the way to Kansas City, Chicago etc. Let's just say that last time this thing went properly the Mississippi river flowed backwards. Mississippi is i belive the third biggest river in the world ;)

I said the Earthquake one was funny and i said there was nothing 'wrong' with the other one. There was just no energy, no real talent there.

I know E-Pro. It's the one with the video where it's his head on like a stickman's body everything's just coloured outlines on a black background, and then at the end he's jumping on musical notes. It's an okay song, I suppose

You know...I believe MTV2 was created when MTV realized that there was hardly any music anymore on MTV, so they could start from scratch with another station that would be music 24/7.
