Wow Beth, I hope this is only a temporary thing and you will be feeling better shortly.

For me, I will be needing luck, I have to brave the mall. I have to get my glasses repaired and it
requires going to the mall. I wish it could wait until after the Holidays but they really need to be fixed.

That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. When you park at the farthest part of of the lot
you never have a problem parking. I was able to get my glasses fixed and buy a pair of safety
glasses, all in an hour and a half.

Well let's see, I'll summarize this week since I haven't been here most of the week. I worked all last weekend.. came home, worked on Christmas cards.  Monday I worked, I was called in after being on call for 1 hour. It was a quiet evening at work that night and I even went so far as to attempt to log in here.. though I am a bit paranoid about logging into anything while at work, because of the remote management..  I posted maybe 2 posts, that's about it, then paranoia took over and I logged off. Tuesday, I went to the dentist, then did a little bit of Christmas shopping. I am not going to be seeing my family over Christmas because I am scheduled to work evening shift Friday, Sat, Sunday, Monday.  So I have decided I won't even do any Christmas shopping for my mom, brother, cousins, aunt, until Dec 26th. Weds, I worked evenings, and it was a busy night. I ended up getting an hour of overtime.  I came home, talked to the hubby for a bit and then fell asleep while reading my book. Today, I have been doing laundry, cleaning the bathroom, the kitchen.. I'll probably just relax for the rest of the evening..  So that's been my week.

Well...this morning I was at home, so I had an opportunity to send a Christmas card in the mail to a friend who lives locally. Then in the afternoon I went over to the college because I have a final tonight, which starts at 8. So I'll be getting some dinner pretty soon (it's about 5:15 Thursday night where I am right now) and then I'll do a little more studying.

right now I'm frying some crispy bacon and am going to make some toast and enjoy anice BLT sandwich, minus the T

Julie just got home from her school's basketball game and wants to have some computer time  so I'm gonna give it up and i will see all you fine people later.

I am trying to stay awake!  My husband and I are picking my brother in law up from the airport at 2am.  He's flying in from Virginia and I am excited to see him - he's the coolest.

Hmm, I don't think I have any soup in the house. I'm not going to the bloody shops, have you seen the fog outside. I went out the other night, about 25 minutes outside, by the time I got home my hair was wet and there was water running over my face, that much moisture in the air!

Tomorrow we are going to my mother's (which is about a 3-3 and a half hour drive). We are only going for the day but my sister (who lives in Conn.) will be going to so I am looking forward to seeing her.

We got out of work at noon today for the holiday weekend.  :)  I was able to pick up Jake at school, he didn't expect me so he was real happy.  Took him for a haircut, had my brows done.  Tomorrow we are taking the train to Providence to do a bit of shopping, unnecessary, just browsing really, have lunch, come  back and see the lights on the Boston Common, then come home.  :)

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you get better soon. I got sick on Christmas a few years ago-and we were visiting my SIL in L.A. Nothing worse than being sick on a holiday-especailly when you aren't home.

We went shopping a bit tonight, I had to get my dad something for our "secret" Santa. I found him a really nice and comfy looking green/black fleece shirt, and a gift pack of boxers/t-shirts.  Then, we went to Pizza Hut for dinner and they took forever making our pizza...so the waitress comes over and says, "I am so sorry it has taken so long, someone made a mistake...so you won't have a bill today, it's free".....what a nice surprise! We didn't even think anything about the pizza, we were too busy talking with Vaughn, etc. :)

I will wish her well, hopefully the best treatment available and some prayer .  I love a good cheeseburger too, and have one every couple of weeks. My friend with lung cancer has probably been the most health conscious guy I know, and look what happens, you just never know.  chest pains were just overeating pains, gas. I ate all day at work with all the christmas stuff and just need some Tums after the 2 burritos and bowl of popcorn for dinner. I'm good now.

You can tell him from me if you want - My Grandfather had a lung out in like.. '95. Started playing golf afterwards. Went around the world. Got a new sports car. He's pretty much only started doing all the things he really wanted to do after he had his brush with death, lives a much more fun life now!

I don't know much about this lymphoma deal. As you know I ain't real close with my family but she's one of the one's I really like. She always used to be real nice to me and my cousin Joe (her son) we'd be all off getting in to tons of trouble like what all kids do and she'd aaaalways stick up for us.  :)

I dunno if there's anything I love more than a damn good burger. Well.. a fine steak, maybe some kick ass fresh seafood.. that kinda thing.

Well...this morning I slept in while Chris and Vaughn went out to breakfast and shopping. Then we dropped Vaughn off with his grandma (they are celebrating Christmas at her house tonight...so he'll see his dad), then Chris and I did lunch and shopped a bit...now tonight we are going down to my mother-in-laws to exchange gifts.

Well, my sister just got back from the mall, 'cuz we bought my dad's Christmas present.  What a zoo!

my mother-in-law asked lady Di to run a Christmas shopping errand for her. She needed a couple of boxes of See's candy as gifts, & Di was to busy so I, being the good son-in-law I am, volunteered for duty. The candy store was packed, but amazingly I was in & out in 2 minutes because everyone wanted hand picked custom boxes & I need pre-wrapped boxxes, & there was no line at the register. Totaly rocked &  made my day, also nice that M-I-L threw in a 1 lb. free candy coupon for me to get one for myself so we're having candy for snacks tonight.  8)

filled up my gas tank and I'm in for the night, maybe we'll watch Christmas movies or cartoons.

Lessee...got up around 7:30 AM, started laundry, threw away a bunch of the stuff the ex left behind that I can't use, went to the bank, and the store and bought groceries, came home and put away said groceries, talked to my folks, moved two bookshelves I'm not using from the living room to the spare room, moved a computer desk in the spare room, moved a different shelf unit from the spare room to this room, took about 700 or so records out of crates and organized on said shelf unit, cleaned my bathroom, put up a new shower curtain and liner, took the dog on a 1.5 mile walk, came home, cashed in my change and bought some Panda Express for dinner ;D, wrapped my nieces and nephew's Christmas gifts, talked to the Renegade Retro station owner online for a couple hours, and made this post.

Yesterday's visit with my mother was actually pleasent-thanks to my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. Without them there, it would have been hell. In fact, when we were leaving, my sister threw her arms around me and said "Thank you so much". They are planning another visit in Augest and she is hoping that we will be there, too. So, my sister and I have discovered the trick to "surviving" visits to my mother-go at the same time.

Today, Carlos baked an apple pie for our nieghbors which we will be taking over there shortly. We were planning to go out to dinner but decided to go out to lunch instead. Then spend a nice quiet evening-just the two of us.  ;)

So after I log off for tonight, I won't be back until Christmas day!!

Today was a busy day. This morning Chris and I had to teach the 2 yr. old class at church...we had 14 kids! :o  It went pretty well though. Then we went out to my parent's for hor dourves  and opened a few gifts. Then we went to my grandma's house for dinner...we got to see all of my cousins, aunts/uncles, etc...it was pretty nice. Chris and I just finished putting out "Santa's" gifts, and tomorrow morning Vaughn will open his gifts...then we are going over to my parent's house for dinner.

It was incredible!!  WE had the best time.  After Christmas I'll post some photos.  The best part was the Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom.  It was snowing on Main Street in Disney!  So great!!

last night I saw something "jump" or fall from my Christmas tree onto a present and I thought for sures it was a mouse because I couldn't find a fallen ornament so I set a trap near the tree and this morning Diane said, "hey Hon', did you say you saw a mouse by the tree?, well you caught him and he's very dead"!  man, that was a quick catch, and hopefully just the one. haven't seen or heard any others.

My brother is in town so we went to visit him for a bit at the B&B he is staying at. My nephew came back to the house with us for a bit so we could show him the BIG DOG that is in the back yard. He said that he may  come back for a visit in the summer so we can go sailing. So, the family obligation is done and Carlos & I can now enjoy our nice quiet Christmas together.

after watching Christmas movies and cartoons all day, we're gonna pick up the in-laws and head up to Diane's uncles house for dinner in Walnut Creek, probably not to far from where HotStuff resides.

Girl, you need to play UNO with my sister, my friend Cara and I.  You think you and your family got loud.....you got nothing on the three of us.  Once, I made Cara draw like 10 cards in a row....she almost flipped the table over.  Good stuff. 

Today I am just straightening up the house....then when Chris comes home from work, we are going shopping. Then he has to go to a meeting tonight, so Vaughn and I are hanging out later.

We're meeting my in-laws for lunch and going to see "The Pursuit of Happyness."  Should be pretty fun.

After work i'm going to a guy's house for band practice...we finally got a third for our little combo!

Well...today was an eventful day. I went to this neat antique mall with my mom and Vaughn, and then out to lunch. Then Chris and I went to the mall tonight, and I got some clothes...then we had dinner, and then I went to Starbucks for a vanilla bean frapp...it was yummy-o! Then we picked Vaughn up at his mom's and came home.

Made a couple phone calls, took the dog out for a long walk, took the still weak dog out for a real short walk - I'm building him up.
Checked schedules for both the Mets and Yankees so I know when I can see my beloved Cardinals play. I'll probably see if they have any games against the Orioles as well, Camden Yards is such a great ballpark I'd gladly make the trip down.

Went shopping, then realised I'd forgotten my credit card bill so I had to go home and fetch it and then go into town again.  ::)
I've got to go and feed my brother's cat and give him his medication tonight.

I did some laundry, cleaned, put away Christmas toys, cleaned out my bedroom closet....all of that "fun" stuff. :D

Got one of my insulin prescriptions refilled, bought another computer keyboard (the letters are all rubbed off on this one I'm using now), bought some clothes at the Salvation Army thrift store for 50% off, got lunch and now I'm home. Whew!  I'm tired.  ;D

It's shaved from about halfway down my head down to the bottom, then scissor cut very short about a third, then I have the strip in the middle all the way down from fringe to the back which is just near my collar. The hairdresser cut it a little bit shorter than I wanted on top but no worrys, she said it was the first time she'd done anything like that.
