I spent part of the day formatting my computer (for the zillionth time). I visited a website to get some cheat codes for a Playstation game for my kid and a darn trojan installed itself onto my hard drive. Norton removed it (or so it said) but everytime I came back on the internet it installed itself again. Why do people create these things?! This all happened after work and I was already tired. Something I didn't need....oops, this isn't a B**** thread is it? So now I am updating everything again. Takes time when you are on dial-up. ÂÂ

Took the kids to a local waterpark and got challenged to a fight by a punk 14-15 y.o. with eyeliner/mascara halfway down her cheeks. (As I was walking away I turned and said "Oh, and next time, you might want to try waterproof mascara) ;D

I babysat two kids from 7AM until 2PM, then mowed our lawn. Then I had a fudge popsicle. Then I mowed my neighbor's lawn. Then I scrathed my nose. I made some beef nachos and had ice cream for dinner. Got a round of golf in before dark. Took a shower and now I am resting... :)
Tomorrow I plan on taking one of my friends golfing for their first time. :o Saturday I'm going to see Kansas in concert. :D

Today, I am going to Cardiff (Capital city of wales) by bus. The first thing I'm going to do here is go to the Fitness First gym down Newport Road, followed by a slap-up meal at TGI Friday's (www.tgifridays.co.uk). The last time I went to one was in November/December 1998 and I was in Bristol at the time. I remember seeing Babe: Pig in the City at a Warner Brothers cinema afterwards. I remember having a choc chip milkshake and cheese and ham wig wams for dinner. Here's my meal plan below:
Appetiser - Friday's Mushrooms 4 1 (£4.45)
Main course - Chicken Finger BLT (£8.35)
Side Order - Onion Rings (£1.95)
Dessert - Three scoops of Ben and Jerry's in Phish Food, Caramel Choo Choo and Peace of Cake flavours (£3.45)
Drink - Holiday Isle (£2.70)
The total cost for this meal is £21.40. I'm good at maths because I got a C in that subject when I did my GCSEs last year.
After my meal, I'll be going shopping around Cardiff and after that, I;'ll do my homework for college and spend the evening watching the two Lindsay Lohan (She's 18 today) films mentioned in my Happy Birthday LL! topic in the 2000s forum.

Just got back from spending 5 hours at the hospital with my mom. And, since the broad (not a nurse) at the nurse's station in the ER is an idiot, I never got to speak to the doctor as she had told him we had all gone home. I was standing right there when my dad told her "I am leaving but my daughter is going to stay...will the doctor talk to her to tell her what's going on?" and the lady said "Yes". So, after asking for the third time whether or not she was back from her CT scan, a nurse told me that she had been taken to the ICU and took me down there and apologized for them not letting me know she had been admitted. I said I must've been in the bathroom when she got back, and she said, "Well, we didn't even look for anyone as we were told you all had gone home". Too bad I didn't get the "idiot's" name or the hospital would be getting one helluva nasty letter from me >:(
OMG, Is your mom alright :-\\ I'm sorry you guys had to got through all that hospital BS >:(

Well, she had a "hypoglycemic incident" (she's diabetic) and took 2 Vicodin on an empty stomach. She just got out of the hospital on Tuesday after passing out and breaking her arm because she's not eating. Maybe this time she'll have learned her lesson. Needless to say, I read her and my dad the riot act (in a nice way, of course) last night. Anyhoo...Thanks for the thoughts :-*

I got up the extension ladder and onto the roof.
Cleaned out the leaves from the gutter, and sawed down the overhanging branches from the Leopard Tree, that deposit the leaves in the first place.

We finally got out to the boat yesterday. We were planning going up the lake to watch fireworks but one of the owners of our marina said they were going to have fireworks there. So we went to our mooring and did some fishing until the lights went down. (Well, fishing a bit of an understatement-they weren't really biting and what was, were very tiny-no fish for dinner). We did have a great view of at least three fireworks displays. Perfect view of the ones our marina set off and two off in the distance. We didn't know where to look. I'm sure we had a much better view then the people on the dock. There were others being shot off close by but we could only see the sky light up once in a while and heard booms-off in the distance. So very cool. I'm sure we had a much better view then the people on the dock. It was funny after a batch was set off and they were "reloading", everyone (my husband included) started tooting their boat horns, and making a whole bunch of noise. There was one person on the other side of the lake with a cow bell. What bothered me is that a few people on the dock had their own fireworks and were setting them off. We were down wind (and the wind was really whipping) and a few of them ended up right over our heads. :o I have never seen the lake so busy after dark.
We spent the night on boat but was woken up about 4 this morning by rain, rain, and more rain. When we woke up this morning, it was dark and dreary so we came home-didn't get in ANY sailing but had fun watching the fireworks anyway.

This morning I finally made the ceramic bowls I'd been promising my mother-in-law. ::) :)
Pretty soon I will be taking the kids to McD's for lunch and then at some point I'll have to pick up a few groceries for the week. Other than that I'm just trying to relax after the busy day I had yesterday. :)

Don't feel bad. Rice and I were supposed to see it this past Saturday, but it was sold out for like the next three showings. To top it off, the matinee ends at 2pm on weekends, which would have resulted in us buying $8.75 tickets. :P So we just left and I bought tickets on Fandango for the next day.....early. ;D

Let's see, cleaned some this morning, did some yardwork, got tickets for my brother and his wife to fly up tomorrow for my mom's surgery, took a shower, went to the hospital to see her, then cleaned her house, now I'm about to go clean out one of my kitchen cabinets where the kids' crayons, markers, etc are as it's a total mess. If I can't sleep, I might scrub the grout in the kitchen ::)

Today I celebrated my birthday. In the morning I went to church (since it's Sunday), in the afternoon I had cake and opened presents, and in the evening my parents took me out for dinner. I was gonna bring a friend along, but I called her last night and she said her car was in the shop (plus, the drive would be kinda far for her).

Today I must: Clean the room, wash mine and Rice's clothes, give the dog a bath and find room for all the baby stuff my aunts just gave me. I'm not complaining though because they gave me a box full of baby clothes, a portable playpen, a crib, a baby bather, and two car seats, one of which is an Eddie Bauer model. I'm sure that the baby clothes are probably name brand too. My cousin had a habit of dressing her kid in Nike gear and other name brand cr*p. ::)

Well, today, because Emma's staying at our house for a week, I went to town, had a McD's (because my brother works there..), and I just generally basked in her warm, glowing, warming glow. All day.

Went to the computer place today and the guy copied the drivers I needed into a folder so I can burn them to a disk....now I can crash and fix my computer whenever i need to! Also worked at the shop and now I'm home waiting for the All-Star game to begin....Go NATINAL LEAGUE!

I bought it cheap from France and it is gorgeous but would not consider making my own. Everybody thinks they can make beer like the professionals as well because they have bought a fermentation bin and a canful of black treacle like stuff - the end result often tastes awful. I know because I have tasted my dad's offerings. :P

Today I went to the doctors, found out I have a UTI. :P
For those of you who don't know what that is, its a Urinary Tract Infection and let me tell ya, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy! The best way to help prevent it is drink LOTS and LOTS of water and Cranberry Juice. There are also vitamins to take as well. The only way to get rid of it though is with antibiotics, which I am on now, finally. *sigh of relief*
(Sorry if it grosses you guys out, but I wanted to say something so people know how to NOT get one of these babies, cuz they HURT!)
After that, I went to get my Rx filled, then came home.
I go to work in two hours. Yay.
I am also going to go to the pool today cuz it is SOOOOOOO hot out here!
Well, I am gonna go now, cuz that pool is getting more and more tempting!! Bye!!

Today I went to the doctors, found out I have a UTI. :P
For those of you who don't know what that is, its a Urinary Tract Infection and let me tell ya, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy! The best way to help prevent it is drink LOTS and LOTS of water and Cranberry Juice. There are also vitamins to take as well. The only way to get rid of it though is with antibiotics, which I am on now, finally. *sigh of relief*

Ouch! You my sympathy on this one RIo. UTI's are not nice. You're right about the cranberry juice. It helps kill the bugs that cause the infection. There are sometimes some other causes

My wonderful husband, who said that he wouldn't help me with digging out some ferns so I could plant my wildflowers, rented a rototiller and helped me with it anyway. ;D I did plant them today-doubtful if I will get anything this year because it is so late in the season but hopefully by next year, that spot in the back yard will have TONS of wildflowers. ;D

I love wildflowers. I put down some wildflower ground cover once and got a ten foot tall sunflower mixed in with the flowers. That was pretty dang cool.
Today I did the church thing then took my daughter to my friends house. My babysitter is out of town for a couple of week so my friend is keeping her this week and next week. I did this last year too, and I missed the little bugger.

Thanks Bobo. Actually I feel GREAT today. I feel that I have had 10 tons lifted from my shoulders. I already have what makes me happy-a wonderful husband who has been right there beside me through all the b.s. and supports me in this decision. I have wonderful friends who are there for me. I underestimated the weather and got sunburnt as well, resinchaser. I got a bit of a water blister on my cheek at the moment. It burst this morning. :(
