As if this was supposed to be "cool" or something. It's amazing how out-of-touch some of these ad writers can be.  8-P

Yeah, I think the drug commercials are very annoying where the list of potential side affects (mentioned at the end) is longer than the actual commercial itself.    Side affects include constipation diahrea, bleeding eyes, hole in stomach, no erection, hair falling out, brown teeth. and so on and so on.

ALL Paid Programming blocks. In essence, they are "supercommercials" because like your typical 30 second spot, they pay money for the station/network except that its 30 minutes long! That same phone number on the bottom of the screen the whole half hour, that you remember the number more than the product! What's worse is that many occur on major networks on weekend daytime hours when many people are free to watch TV! Also I don't know why 20 or so shopping channels exists on TV where you can just go either online, or for the non-internet shoppers, to the store! Just QVC, HSN, and ShopNBC will do!

The fact is that gold & silver are up these days. In fact, I'm planning on selling some of my coins-but I will NEVER bring them to some place like that. Those guys are in the business to make $$$$. They will probably pay you less so they can sell it for more. What I'm going to do is take mine to an auction house. This way they are going directly to the buyers-and avoid the dealer. Unfortunately, it is going to cost me because I have to pay the auctioneer. But, there is the possibility that the price can go WAY up-rather than just a fixed price that a dealer will pay you. However, there is the possibility that it won't get as high as you would hope.  :-\\

When the Flo commercials first came out I thought she was sexy in a cute, quirky kind of way but lately I've been finding those Progressive commercials have been getting Progressively more annoying.  :P


And speaking of annoying car insurance commercials, how about The General? The CGI in those ads is so crappy that it looks like it was done by an 80 year-old man from rural Minnesota.  ::)

Furthermore, I hate any frikkin' commercial in which they trot out the kids and the family dog.  If you are a local business with 30 seconds of air time, don't do that.  Spend the same amount of money to pay an art student from the college, it's guaranteed to be better than mom and dad and bud and sis, and a little dog named Snuggles. 

One caveat: The art school kid might think it's hilariously PoMo to do the fam and the dog routine.  Don't fall for this.

The caveman sketch was funny the first time they did it, then it became the Energizer Bunny.  Coors is a sh*tty beer and I resent all their ads, especially the Coors Window thing.
