Yeah!!!!  That is the best snow!  Unfortunately all of our snow has melted, it has been raining here for 2 days :). Cold, wet icky rain!  It is not soaking into the ground ( the ground is frozen) so we are under a flood watch!  And it can turn freezing anytime, so then we have ice - YUCK!  I WANT SNOW!!!

I just had a piece of red velvet cake - couldn't wait any longer.....  Yummy :D

The snow (a good 5 cm) was followed by rain - and lots of it. It is still raining as we speak. Now nearly all snow has disappeared, so no white Christmas after all. Sad face.

Christmas drama seems to continue  :P  Hubby has not spoke of it (I do not know if he switched his weekends with the employee who wanted too).  I do not know if we are going to my mothers, as a family this weekend....  BUT he just said that he hoped to get Miley clipped, and take her to Linda's so the 2 poodles could play...  (Which is good, because this is his mother's side of the family whose dad has irreversible lung cancer - and I am not sure if he will have another Christmas)???  We missed Thanksgiving with them, for my mothers, I hate to miss Christmas as well. 

Bad news is, that means it looks like I will be heading up Christmas Eve by myself to make sure that my mother has someone there :-\\  Man I am going to miss my girls :P (not sure about the husband right now)

Well this 10 year anniversary was a bust - same as every other anniversary....

I went grocery shopping the other night and bought a lovely filet of beef and had the butcher trim and tie it...  I prepared a lovely peppered filet of beef roast, and king crab legs.  So we had a beautiful Surf and Turf meal with parsley & paprika baby potatoes, grilled asparagus, and fresh pineapple.  So we had our "Anniversary dinner" with the girls and I then proceeded to clean the house; later fell asleep on the couch...

I do not think my husband has a romantic bone in his body...

He gave me my gift, it was lovely (but not anything that I would wear, and I have no where to wear a cocktail bangle too...) I am way to hard on my jewelry to have something with high prongs and delicate arms....  Does he know me at all???? I am feeling more lost than ever (I am really beginning to hate the Holidays - and I used to love them)

on the bright side.... 10 years is tin or aluminum so he could have given you a can of creamed corn and some reynolds wrap.

Just had a wonderful time at my mother's house (we went up as a family today, hubby too).  She was in a good mood, instead of frantic and miserable.  She didn't even complain about the new 40" flat screen we bought her and set up (She normally, hates any "new" technology we get her).  Really it was time for her 30+ year old console set to get a much deserved rest.  AND she loved the Channel #5 I bought her (she hasn't had a bottle of it FOREVER - but all of my life she has kept an "empty" bottle in her room).  I always new it was her favorite, but she never had enough money to buy it. She cried.  We then were able to eat out, at a favorite local restaurant (that I haven't ate at in over 10 years) - and it was as DELICIOUS as ever!


Aw Sami I'm glad you had a good visit with your mom and that she received her gifts lovingly! 
Wish I could give ya more karma... and if you ever wanna give someone a 40" TV again... ahem... I'll be right here!!!  ;)

at 8 an officer brought me pancakes
at 1230 a student employee brought me a hamburger and fries from Joke in the Box
at 2 an officer brought me a hamburger and onion rings
at 3 the fire captain brought me a cookie plate and shrimp cocktail (and told me I would get dinner)
at 440 the paramedic brought me a plate with prime rib and mashed taters (I didn't eat the cheese broccoli and cauliflower for the obvious reason)
and now there's that weird dessert with jello and pretzels but I'm gonna eat it cuz it confounds me...  ;)

and i have cookies and brownies for this evening....  seee... bad girl.

Oh well - I have to make the best of it for my girls.  AND good news, my brother (from AZ) and his wife are coming into town next weekend.  So we will see mom again then.  We had a really good day with her, last Sunday.  No drama, no hysterics, she loved the perfume, and she did not argue about the new tv.  Talked to her today, to say I was sorry to miss today with her - weather was too iffy.  She said, that was fine. She wants me there next weekend anyway. 8)

And once again, the lord provides for us in ways we can not understand.  He does not give us more than we can handle 8)
