I am making the Turkey ( or duck, or turducken) on Wednesday - my mother's turkey is never (a)cooked all the way through (b) frozen stilll when she puts it in the oven (usually resulting in -a ) (c) dryer than the Mojave Dessert (d) contaminated every counter, shelf, sink and clean dish in the house by the time she gets it in the oven :P
Either way - I am safer in cooking it the day before and taking it tooo her house ::)

My mother is a horrible cook (and getting worse as she ages) - but she won't go anywhere for thanksgiving....
Stay away from the sweet potato stuff - long grey hairs have been found in the marshmallow topping :P

Unfortunately at the sale there were more cattle than buyers and no one was bidding - he stalled at $850 and we no saled him (we would get more money for him selling him by the pound - and he's tame) - the girls groomed him and led him in (he's kid broke)...

I even broke a lightbulb and had to get that all swept up before a little one or a pet stepped on it

yes but no sauce mixed in it - called a maid right here (steamed loose meat burger - some seasoning) and add ketchup, mustard, pickle and onion as you like

They always let me eat with them.... but not last year :\'( so I'm afraid they may forget me this year... plus they eat at 2 and I am off at noon... I don't want to sit around here for two hours waiting for dinner... what would I do? Watch football 8-P that's worse than eating cheese.

It sounds like it may not be as "worth it" this year- I usually go (hit stores by 4, get the doorbusters I want and get out - done by 1:00 pm - when the stores get really crowded)
This years sounds like lots of stores are staggering their "door busters" throughout the day - not as "efficient" for me ::)
