Because of some personal turmoil (I believe Gideon is going to try and resolve...). Other than that it has always been a mystery. Rossi, has always been part of the show... he just stepped up as lead.

It's weird how quickly he takes over things, where Aaron 'Hotch' Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) is supposed to be in charge... :-\\ Well, I suppose he was only an interim leader. And I don't really like him anyway.

Here's the deal Henk.. Hotch has always been the leader... he was Gideon's boss. But Hotch also recognized how knowledgeable Gideon and Rossi are so he often let them take the lead... you may have missed it but Rossi was one of the first members of the BAU and he trained, or helped train Hotch.

Because of some personal turmoil (I believe Gideon is going to try and resolve...). Other than that it has always been a mystery. Rossi, has always been part of the show... he just stepped up as lead.

He's 6. He loves video games and boobs. His love affair with boobs began as an infant. It was noticeable how he would snuggle into a woman's bosom as a wee babe, more so than nromal. His love affair continues to this day, he expresses it thru photography (my daughter and I have deleted many bosom shots from our digital cameras) and thru his love of all boob humour. His reverence for nursing mothers brings a tear to ones eye as well.
Some families ignore these things, we celebrate and laugh. :)
