Actually, I did get addicted a little bit there to FB but now it seems I am addicted to something a little different. I have been totally getting the house ready and stuff set up for the return of Big Nasty!!! Wish I could give out dates and such, but we all know that certain things must be left out of online communication! ;) All I will say is that y'all will be the second ones to know! FB being first because family will need to know! 8)

on her computer to play games but nothing more. My kids tell me I should get an account so I can keep in touch with old
friends. The way I see it is; if they aren't in touch with me now then they are not really friends.

You can put an automatic spell check on your browser. I do so I don't use the spell check here anymore so I don't miss it now that it is gone. You go through "tools" on your browser and there should be a spell check option.

I have something like that on my Firefox browser. It underlines unrecognized words in red, sorta like MS Word does. Then I just right-click on them and it brings up a list of possible suggestions.

Many apologies. The Son is graduating from high school this Friday and we have been insanely getting prepared. Not to mention that Big Nasty is home now too, so of course y'all know that I have been busy with him!  :D

So now I am awaiting the arrival of the In-Laws tomorrow and the rest of the family early Friday. The In-Laws are staying until the 5th of July - so I can't guarantee that I will be online a whole lot... here anyway... but I will try my best. I see him all the time on Facebook.  He plays a game that I occasionally play there and we exchange virtual "gifts" for the game.
He posted a bunch of photos of the flood on FB when it was happening in Australia, not real sure how far away he lived from it, but it was rather messy.  He is doing well otherwise (I understand.)  :)

She listed Poltergeist. I joked that Poltergeist wasn't a horror film.
Three or four people said they thought it was scary too.

I know she was supposed to go back to work yesterday...I suspect it didn't go well so its possible this site became her collateral damage.

I can assure you it was about being called a chicken over thinking poltergeist was a scary a movie. But then it led to more personal matters.
Apparently, King Tut was 'warned' by some other members... saying that someone here likes to "take immense pleasure at continuously hurting and destroying others." As well, there are supposed to be "tribulistic rituals" that happen around here...

I handled all of the reported posts and sent King Tut a message letting her know what was being done and what wasn't being done.
She then replied that I was not to message her, that all of my messages went into the garbage and that I should stop harassing her. Umm... I was sending her a reply from her reported post. ???

Then she sent another message saying she figured out how to delete her account, so we could all cheer and give each other high fives. Apparently I am a bully for handling a situation she wanted handled...

At any rate, I have kept all of the correspondence, to include what was posted in the Halloween thread. You know, just in case those that "warned" her want proof of what went down.

I only had limited contact with her, but I thought by the responses that she was a female. I always thought it was odd she called herself "King Tut" :-\\. I just figured she liked the movie or King Tut.

when i saw steve martin do "king tut," back in 1981 or whenever it was, i remember thinking he'd jumped the shark. (although we didn't have that term back then.) and you have to realize, i was like 11. but i loved (LOVED!) his standup albums and then this king tut thing came out and was just so bad. so funny because i love almost everything from that general era, but... ugh. i have very similar feelings about paul mccartney's "comin' up," which i think happened around the same time. i LOVED early wings, but when "comin' up" came out i was like, ok, western popular culture is now dead. and it turns out with some rare exceptions, like metallica, primus, radiohead, and louis ck, i was right.
