You won't know how big the crowd is until you get there. I went to BC place today (where the Opening ceremonies will be). There's an 8 foot high fence all around the stadium. Police, security guards..
There's so many little makeshift tents/places/restaurants for little gatherings still being constructed. I visited some new sites and walked around downtown a bit today. No big crowds of tourists yet. The only big crowd I saw was at the Bat (store that sells Olympic stuff), very crowded, a little line up outside and wall to wall people. I didn't go in, too many people.

Best thing to do with snowballs is put them in your freezer the night before, then the next day, the snowballs are ice balls. They really hurt.

You can pick them up because the snowballs are not usually perfect circles and there are ways to grab them (little small bumps, here and there).

This is so true, I know my daughter never listened to me or her father and we all know where that got her. My son told me one day when he was around 14 that he stopped listening to his fathers advise when he was in 4th grade when he said he realized he was all ready smarter than him, luckily other than drink with friends he does seem to have a good head on his shoulders.

'Twas before my time (only by a couple years), but I still know about it, from having seen the video on tv, and reading about it in various sources...such as the aforementioned book, Saturday Night Live: The First Twenty Years (even though it technically covers the first nineteen seasons).
