scary frog over foot? yes.... frogs scare me but I can look at pics of them... I don't want to be in the room with a real one...well if its in an aquarium its okay... but honestly the sight of bare feet real or image truly disgusts me to my core...  8-P

How do I look busy?


We discussed this in another thread Howard. If there are no carts to collect then find something to clean. You clean the kiddie ride and collect trash out of the carts. How about cleaning the front doors or sweeping the walk.

I worked in a grocery store for two years. I started as a bagger/vart collector. When it was slow I cleaned everything. I cleaned and resstocked the checkstands. Did extra sweeps of the floor and volunteered to clean the bathrooms.

Because I always kept busy and always volunteered to do the jobs no one wanted to do I was promoted to stocker. I hated my managers to. But Its rare to find a good boss. You just have to suck it up.

I've had 8 jobs and three times as many supervisors. Only four of them were worth a sh!t.

Pretending work is better than getting caught sitting on your ass doing nothing. Plus talking to the customers is good customer service. People like friendly staff

Yeah, but the staff hates friendly staff...didn't really like my co-workers or bosses, plus it was union so there were no merit-based promotions :P

It is always better to keep busy with things that you might not like to do rather than the boss finding something for you to do (which you will hate).

Well, I have seen one exception: my wife, who works at Stain-Mart, took it upon herself to mop up a spill near the front entrance. She put up the wet floor signs and all that, and still got bitched at because, get this, she could have caused a fall.

I smite STAIN MART, the sheeshhole, crappy-ass store that it is. I hope they go bankrupt.
