They must still do that in Canada. I guess the digital TV switch must've only affected the US...unless I find out otherwise. I'm just not sure where rabbit ears are still in use, that's all.

Some tv's had two knobs: one for VHF and the other for UHF. To get the UHF channels, one would turn the VHF knob to "U" (located between "13" and "2"). My old TV didn't pick up UHF very well, mainly due to the location I was in.

The good old days...

Well, for a while during the 1980's we actually did pick up a couple of UHF channels; I do have a few memories of watching Sesame Street on KCET (a PBS affiliate), channel 28 in Los Angeles. After we got a new TV in early 1989 (one with a remote control), we didn't pick up UHF much at all. Like I said, it was mainly due to our location, and the edict of our mobile home park that we couldn't put antennas on our mobile homes. It was either use rabbit ears (which helped improve the picture quality of some channels, including a couple VHF ones) or pay extra for cable (which some folks did).

Yes It Is.

Yes It Is.

I figured; since New York City is known for its subways. :)

In Los Angeles, there are two subway lines: the Purple Line (which stays in the downtown part of L.A., going as far west as Wilshire/Western), and the Red Line (which goes into Hollywood). Up until maybe five years ago or so, both lines were called the Red Line, since that was the name given to the entire subway system when it first opened. But then they wanted to distinguish the lines, given that they split at Wilshire/Vermont. So the route that terminates at Wilshire/Western (which I had been using to get to and from work) is the Purple Line, and the route which goes into Hollywood is called the Red Line.

definatly be something I'd try.  I was looking at some methods of tieing the shirts, Ive only done a sprial before.  I've never done like a rats tail and tied it up as much as possible.  so I think I'd like to make that my first project.  I have teal, blue, and purple die and I might want to do a couple of them in just the teal and purple and two in all three of the colors to see how they mix.  Still thinking about how I would do the other one.

I loved Fun House, especially the bonus round, which featured the title attribute. The winning team was given two minutes to go in there and grab tags relating to prizes offered. One of the kids would go in and grab three tags from the various attractions/rooms, come back out, and let the other kid go in there, and keep doing this pattern until time ran out. It looked like a lot of fun. I wished I could have gone on there.
