Yep, I last ate one on September 11, 2003.
I don't like to eat them anymore because they're not very healthy. So I'm trying to see how long I can avoid eating them.

yeah, I never thought that this version would last for nearly 5 1/2 years. The version before that (powered by YaBB) had crashed in mid-April of 2004 and we had to wait for the new version to be launched. I was a member on the old messageboard, and many of our other veteran members (including Catwoman, Rice cube, Howard, and IndyGent, among others) had been members there. So we all had to register with brand new accounts and rebuild our post counts.

At that time, I believe Amiright still had a separate messageboard, where anyone could post anonymously. It was a completely different format too. I even made a post or two back then. I'm pretty sure it was a month later when the domain name inthe00s.com was founded. I would know that info since I have been a part of ChuckyG's community for a very long time now. I discovered Amiright.com in April 2000, and inthe80s.com shortly thereafter.

I got addicted to the PBG right away!!! :D The caption "Confused? You won't be once you enter this board!" is so true!
I remember the very first day of this new messageboard (April 21, 2004) very well. I wanted to register here as soon as I possibly could, but I couldn't do so until the afternoon because I had a very early class that morning, and I had to be in the computer lab for the rest of the morning, since it was a Wednesday. But as soon as I was done with the assignment I had to do, I logged on to the internet right away and found that the board had started anew. I had to register a brand new account (since the old ones couldn't be imported from the old board), and then start racking up posts!! It didn't take me very long to clear my "Wheezy" status...and then on to "McVitie" and then "Pingu"...all in one day! I had so much fun during the afternoon that I just couldn't stop. By day's end, I ended up with 81 posts...and that was just the beginning of my rise to the top in post counts.

I was adicted to PBG for a short while too. Back then my average posts per day was up in the 70's. I deliberately stopped/reduced posting there as I was prone to spending too much time away from my family (as we live in the same house and all) ....and I got a bit bored with typing similar responses over and over.
I remember a contributing factor at that time was that my internet was playing up and it's a real pain when the system goes slow and PBG is all about being quick (especially if there are several people posting at once)!

For the record, my very first post on this new board was in the PBG. I just wanted to get started right away.
And in just two weeks' time, I reached Tuxedo Sam status. At the time I thought it was the highest of the rankings...but I found out later on that there were several levels beyond that. Also, I was the first to reach 1,000 posts.
As I'd said above, I really wanted to be registered here on the morning of April 21st of 2004, but I had a class in the morning and other obligations before 12 noon. Needless to say, that particular class was a tough one for me (intro to Operating Systems, and I was taking it a second time), and that whole semester (Spring 2004) had been challenging...and that's what had led me to contemplate changing majors. But that is all behind me now.

That was recently. Torey gave me the link in the "Karamel Exchange" thread.
The "1,000 post celebration" had been bumped in December 2006, after I'd made an additional 76,000 posts, but I had to lock it so it wouldn't cause confusion.

At first I didn't think I'd like it (and figured I might not be able to deal with it for two weeks)...but when I saw that just about all of our regulars were getting ambushed, I began to enjoy it! :D :D There are still some of us that haven't gotten our monikers altered, but I guess they will sooner or later. I think this is way more fun than last year's April Fools Day prank. ;D

I do get confused by some of them (and it looks like some people have already had at least two), but I can eventually figure out who's who. I am already keeping a written list of the names for my personal reference purposes.

Sence I've gotten my new pair of glasses and they seem to fit tighter, I only wear them when I'm on the computer or something when I really need to. In fact, I can read the computer without them, but couldn't read the menu at a Carls Jr. I can read without glasses, It'sjust certin types of light. The glasses I had before( 2nd pair) had a 50% tent on them. the glasses I have on now have not tent, but a coating to prevent glare. Doesn't make a difference which ones I use while on the computer, but I got my tented glasses on because I think I'm part gremlin anyway. I use to wear sunglasses all the time and have a polarized clip for my glasses somewhere.

I got my first pair of sunglasses from a Sunglass Hut store in the mall in August 1995. I didn't wear them very much, altho I probably should have...and they didn't have a very good storage case. In fact, I lost that pair in July 1999 while attending a show at the Henry Fonda theatre in Hollywood, and bought a new pair the next day...only to get those broken a month later. So then (August 1999) I had to spend money for another pair of sunglasses, only to lose those a couple years later. During the last week of May 2002, when I was in Minneapolis with my family, I got a good-quality pair of sg's from this department store, and the sales associate suggested not to put them over my head, because that's how they can break easily...so I took that advice to heart and kept them in the best condition (they even had a really good protective case). But I accidentally misplaced those in May 2004---just two years later---and had to spend $136 on another pair shortly thereafter. Those ones lasted me four years before they got broke, and my mom bought me a new pair of sg's last June.

I believe the most I ever spent on a pair of sunglasses was about $150.00 5 or 6 years ago. They were Kate Spade (sister-in-law of David Spade) brand, and they've outlasted every pair of sunglasses I've ever owned! :D These days I alternate between those and a nice $10.00 pair I bought at Target 2 years ago. :)
