He always shows a face of disgust when a singing round is annopunced by Drew which he has to sing in it. I think he does not like singing.

Sorry!  I guess I never came back here last night after the Shuttle went up! I didn't know if anyone would really be interested.

I'm in Tampa, but we can see it go up from Kennedy Space Center over in Cocoa. I took pictures but am still not getting the hang of posting them in a thread here yet.  Really from our street or backyard you can see it up over the trees pretty brightly, even up til they drop the rocket boosters, but it's not like being there.  It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive across the coast for us, and we've gone plenty of times to watch them in person. If I can today, I'll try and get a couple of shots posted here.  I'll provide the link  to KSC for those interested in knowing more about it.  :)

http://www.nasa.gov/centers/kennedy/home/index.html

This is the home page that tells you really all you need to know-you can check out anything you want to know about the history of NASA, the shuttle program itself, etc.  It's a really great place to visit when you come to Florida.  Some people get tired of Disney, Universal and the Beaches and want to see some real history. I recommend it highly.  I'd been several times over the years, but my son's class had a trip there last year and it's so great to see it from a kid's point of view. Great for adults and enough fun to keep kids interested, too.

I take pictures of everything.  ::) I'm the one who takes her camera everywhere she goes just in case there's a good shot to be had. I take it to the theme parks, the beach, the zoo, school events, parties, etc. I've taken some really good ones lately that I'd like to post in the photos threads, but no matter what I try, I can't get it to work.  It's probably for the best, you all would probably get sick of seeing pictures of mine all the time... http://www.inthe00s.com/smile/14/laughing11.gif

Yes, whenever I go over there I take a ton of pics.  I also took some great shots from when John Glenn went back up in '98.

Probably the image is too large.

Somewhere there is a thread telling you how to post images.

Thanks!  I keep trying, sometimes I can't figure out how to resize some photos and some don't need it, but the whole copy and paste with the picture icon is just baffling me for some reason.  :-\\  It's ok, it's a mystery I vow to solve eventually.

If you are trying to post a picture that is stored on your hard drive you need to use the 'Additional Options...' option that appears below the reply box.  Click on Additonal Options and then you can attach the photo by clicking on Browse and then finding the photo on your hard drive.  It can only be 128kb in size.

Only problem is, if I display an image from there, and then I take it down, an erroneous image (one that says something like, "This image is no longer available", or something of that nature) will display in its place. :-\\ I know from seeing older posts on here.

Nice...

It was on 17 February of 2004 when I officially registered (this was of course on the old board, which had crashed 2 months later); and that old board didn't have a very exciting library of avatars to choose from as I recall. I had uploaded a custom pic, but I don't quite remember what it was.

As for the sig line, I used to have a different image before I found the dolphins. And at one time when the dolphins weren't showing up, I had used a seasonal image (Thanksgiving), but that didn't have the same feel to it because it wasn't animated. The dolphin pic was back up and running shortly afterwards, thankfully.

ask Tam?  ???

I don't think she'd ever tell. If she did, then it wouldn't be a surprise.

They want to keep it a surprise. Even if you PM'ed them, they probably wouldn't divulge the information.

Well, welcome back.  Should have known that was up with you gone.  I don't play them, so didn't notice.

Yes, that was only temporary. All had been back to normal by midday on Wednesday.

I had to wait long due to the time difference.

Yep, just like last year's prank, the mods had started it when it was early evening in the U.S. so that the people in the UK and Australia could see it when they woke up.

Yep!

I was not expecting anything of that nature, may be something on a minor scale.

I think the April Fools 2007 prank was the most "minor" one, where they added the month of April to the profanity filter and replaced it with J-u-v-e-m-b-e-r. They had to change it back. (As a result, I was not able to type that word correctly; I had to insert the hyphens in between.)

That was it, I just about remember that.

That was it, I just about remember that.

Similarly, in 2005, all that was done was the addition of t-e-h to the profanity filter. Chucky said he was going to "ban the (sic) next person who mentioned the (sic) secret word"...I'm sure we all knew what that word was.

This is off the April Fool's topic, but since it is Miscellaneous, Did anyone else watch the Retrospective and 2 hour series finale of E.R.?  I cried my eyes out!  :\'( I watched it from Day one through about season 8 or 9, then dropped off slowly as I got busier with my son and work, but last night was SO good.  :\'(

Not me, no. I have never watched it. But 15 years is a long time for a drama series to be on the air.

We have to wait for a month for the broadcast of that in the UK

It's definitely worth the wait if you've ever been interested in the show at all.  The retrospective show is a must see. And the 2 hr episode has quite a few nods to earlier episodes over the years. I'm really going to miss it.

you probably weren't around as regularly during that time, so you wouldn't know what t-e-h word might have been *hint hint*
