I don't think so... ~1000 members at ~1700 posts per is 1,700,000 posts. You'd have to make ~300,000 more posts to break into the top 10 in the post per member department.

Increasing your average would help with the total post per board standing though.

The board in the number one spot is 'GAIA Online' . They have 1,293,776,759 posts .... a HUGE lead on even 2nd place ..... and are unlikely to be caught by ANY board in the foreseeable future. However, they have achieved this feat with the aid of 11,859,640  members !


On THIS board ... we have (officially )  ::)  :-X  1,025 members  ..... who have contributed  1,872,799 posts (and counting ....).




These 1,872,799 posts , although admirable, are a drop in the ocean compared to Gaia's total, and many other board on the 'Big boards' ranking. Most of the boards have a lot more members than us  .... so their 'achievement' is a relative piece of cake ..... and we just cannot compete to any meaningful level in THAT arena.  :\'(  That doesn't stop us getting excited when we move up one or two spots .... from our current 851 st spot to say 850. We are highly unlikely to ever get even into the 700's .... given that we've generally been in the range 850-880 (?) over the last few years ?




Big Boards also ranks the boards by their 'Post Ratio'. This is the number of total posts made on each board, divided by the total number of members  each board has. In THIS regard ...... we CAN compete  (especially with the likes of Philip Eno on board ! ).

The thread 'Big boards we're slippiing'  .... is in regard to our overall position of the 1000 (?)  biggest boards as rated by the company 'Big boards'. It is judged by the number of posts.


The board in the number one spot is 'GAIA Online' . They have 1,293,776,759 posts .... a HUGE lead on even 2nd place ..... and are unlikely to be caught by ANY board in the foreseeable future. However, they have achieved this feat with the aid of 11,859,640  members !


On THIS board ... we have (officially )  ::)  :-X  1,025 members  ..... who have contributed  1,872,799 posts (and counting ....).




These 1,872,799 posts , although admirable, are a drop in the ocean compared to Gaia's total, and many other board on the 'Big boards' ranking. Most of the boards have a lot more members than us  .... so their 'achievement' is a relative piece of cake ..... and we just cannot compete to any meaningful level in THAT arena.  :\'(   That doesn't stop us getting excited when we move up one or two spots .... from our current 851 st spot to say 850. We are highly unlikely to ever get even into the 700's .... given that we've generally been in the range 850-880 (?) over the last few years ?




Big Boards also ranks the boards by their 'Post Ratio'. This is the number of total posts made on each board, divided by the total number of members  each board has. In THIS regard ...... we CAN compete  (especially with the likes of Philip Eno on board ! ).



Our current 'Post ratio' is  1828 . This is obtained by dividing the total number of posts 1,872,086 by our total number of members ..... 1,024 (figures now out of date, but correct 24 hours ago) ....


A post ratio of 1828 places us in 10th spot on the Big Boards !   8)


GAIA ... by comparison, on THIS measure .... find themselves in 554 th spot (how the 'mighty' have fallen !  :P   ;D )  ... with a feeble post ratio of 109. This is saying the 'average' member there, has made 109 posts in their total existence on that board .... whereas the 'average' member here has made 1,828 posts !

I was wondering about that too, for I just noticed that on the top right corner in the stats box, it now says "1002 Members"....I wonder if more inactive accounts were culled?
